But its the right race for Dysart/Kilcruit also.
Cant see him running all 3. |
By:
I think it would be more significant if it was this time next week. As none of them will have done their last pieces of fast work yet.

PLENTY OF MONEY LINED UP TO BACK IT FOR sUPREME.

Seems to be a huge amount of guessing in these 2 markets ballymore/supreme this year. Some seem certain he will run them in different races. I think all 3 are supreme horses. We will see I suppose.
Money on Dysart in the other race yesterday. Quite good fun watching the nonsense unwind with the guessing moving to other horses running in the Albert Bartlett. Glad I’m not involved yet but trying to sort a tissue out, is impossible at this stage |

Agree with that Harry

By:
Ramruna ..... ". I doubt it is Willie's money."
..... of that you can be certain , he doesn't bet ! |
By:
stable don't talk about dd wonder if he's staying at home explains the supreme money for sg
|

Jonbons form gets another boost from Nells Son who was beaten 8 lengths receiving weight@ Haydock.
Turning out to be race of meeting imo. |
By:
Wont get up the hill
|
By:
Bizzare statement for a hoss that was powering away @ the finish and looked like he could do with a step up in trip.
|
By:
Jonbon werent powering away in my book.
Commentator said the second was running on and Jonbon was drawing away , but he wasn't . Richmond lake was all over the place after the last but stayed on once the rhytm and balance was found again, jonbon wasnt going right away from him, last half furlong distance apart was the same (about 3 or 4 lengths) The second got to him after the line but it aint shown on the replays. |

Market switched to Dysart being 2nd fav and Sir G drifting out to 7 (actually went to 10.0 last night).
Sir G come in for Ballymore. No doubt be some more twoing and frowing in the next 7 days .But 5 mins before decs the market will have it right!! |
By:
fair dues Irish .Its all about opinion and price.
|
By:
heard stable have CH in a different grade to JB
|
By:
I will take either. After Kilcruit they are the most profitable in the book.
|
By:
Nothing will jump better than Jonbon IMO....a hurdler that is aided by the obstacles, flicks over them and lads running just like a speed 2 miler should do.
I think CH is the worst value amongst the front group, his form is retrospectively looking worse, the strength of the opposition against him now looks far stronger and deeper than 3 months ago but his price has remained largely the same despite this. |
By:
Mullins did a stable tour for Sporting Life in which he hinted Dysart was a 2 miler and Gerhard could go over either trip. I guess that influenced the market.
There still is not much liquidity in these markets so doesn't take much to shift it. |

heard stable have CH in a different grade to JB From where…? Definitely not the conversation I had with Nicky. |
By:
Hib,
Can't see irish letting you get away with that one ![]() |
By:
Makes me laugh. In the Best Mate enclosure and knows more about all the horses than Willie does.
No wonder 99% of the posters have given up on here. Real shame. |
By:
Cant be bothered with that tw4t duffers
When you say jonbon flicks over them how do you mean ? What was it 9 fences last time out. I thought he overjumped at least 4 of them , his hind's caught some of them and he did well at the last with all four hitting them. Couple of other things as well ....sweating up prior to the start, veered left on the run in and a side on head carriage. I would love to see JP win it again but I have severe doubts about this fellah at 9/2 , hope on the other hand that I am wrong ! |
By:
Irish if you think Jonbon overjumped @ least 4 of them and hitting the last with all 4 of them you need to either
a) Review the race or b) Visit Specsavers. He jumped the 3rd last so well he had to be checked from running into the back of Donny Boy As for not powering away from them you could also do with checking sectional times |
By:
Fair enough geoff all down to opinions
|
By:
hibore I heard it a few times watching cheltenham preview nights on youtube, i think there saying its more from the stable lads
hope dd runs him running free out in front will set the race up for CH to fly up the hill , hopefully we get 4s next tues morning and a few extra places good luck to you all |
By:
Jonbon's form is beginning to stack up. He beat Nell's Son, who won the Grade 2 at Kelso on Saturday, and Elle Est Belle who won the Sidney Banks. I Like to Move It was runner-up in the Betfair Hurdle.
Dysart Dynamo does not seem to have beaten much of note but if Willie Mullins can't recognise a good novice hurdler, we might as well pack up now. Until we see the decs, it is not worth wasting too much time on. The Supreme will probably be won by one of the first four in the betting, even if two of them are diverted to the Ballymore. |
By:
On a side note generally, I was listening to Mullins speaking about his Chelteham team and he said something that staggered me and I was wondering if it could possibly be true on how he operates.
He was talking about the Arkle, but it could have been any race I suppose, he talked about his runners in the race but then he mentioned something along the lines of, "they tell me that Edwardstone is good blah blah, but I haven't seen any of his runs...could this be genuine, that he actually doesn't bother to watch a prime opposition prep runs??? amazing if true I thought. |
By:
Sir Gerhard is 2/1 fav with 'Sly' (nrnb) but 7.4 here. What a discrepancy
|
By:
Cash back up to £10 for this race if your selection (1st bet) loses with 'Sly'.
|
By:
@duffy -- I find it surprising that Mullins does not watch all Graded races, and Edwardstone has won three of them, but less surprising Willie does not go out of his way to study the opposition as it is hard to see what difference it would make to the way he trains his own hoss.
|
By:
Surely its a time factor. He would have all on trying to find time to watch replays of his own horses never mind the opposition.
Ruby was adamant last night that Sir Gerard and Dysart would be split between Supreme and Ballymore but no indication which way. |
By:
Edwardstone ran the same day as Chancun at Sandown ? Maybe he was in the toilet when it ran ?
|
By:
Can't see Sir Gerhard staying the Ballymore trip. I'd worry about Dysart Dynamo getting worked up in the Supreme preliminaries but again am not sure about the Ballymore. I'd think about Kilcruit for the Ballymore but that would not solve the SG/DD problem.
Interesting that Nicky Henderson on the Unibet preview said Jonbon and Constitution Hill would both go for the Supreme but then seemed to walk back slightly, presumably because JP will make the final decision. |
By:
Market shouting
Sir G Ballymore 2.9 against 9.0 SUpreme Dysart Dynamo 5.1 Supreme 10.0 Ballymore with no one wanting to back. |

One thing is for sure Walsh is going to of put plenty of people away if mullins runs all 3 in supreme. No doubt making plenty in the process
|
By:
Mullins' 3 rnrs have different owners.
A trainer of his standing knows where they're running by now, surely. |
By:
I remember the capers before with appreciate it last year, champagne fever, vautour when the same thing occurre putting everyone away for the ballymore before declaring for supreme.
If the older members know the caper, then I’d say his boy will be on kilcruit townend on sir Gerard and the other Mullins on Dysart. What I despise is the putting people away, when it’s clear none of them want 2m5f at this stage…Walsh one of the most filthiest in the game for putting people away like he is doing here. We will see I suppose but like you say penzance, he knows where they are running just likes to control people. Must be an ego thing |
By:
Actually hope they all go. WOuld be the best Supreme ever including Diana Ross.
|
By:
Will be a great race Geoff I agree. We will see but waiting is just annoying especially when most know, they should all be running here. Will he end up with egg on his face, if he doesn’t win it

At least de bromhead conducts himself in a proper manor in regards races, although I doubt he’ll be pleased the ground drying for the kettle horse, that’s one horse I’d change to the mares race just for her chances myself
