Sportinglife has that many different tipsters putting their two cents in, you lose track of it all. Lydia, "Man on the Spot", Ben Linfoot, Simon Holt, Cunningham's chat etc.

Would be better to just have one and it would be noticed more.

....so in answer to the question, I personally don't take notice of it. Interesting read, but wouldn't sway me one way or the other.

That's because you know what you are talking about WinkGrin!

Seriously though, plenty don't and it's those drudge-monkeys that tipsters aim at. Put that with a high-volume website and you've got the recipe to at least begin to move markets.

The most important criteria in backing a horse ante-post is its 'certainty' to run in that particular race unlike its welfare does not allow and not trainer/owner induced.

The RSA with the two principle runners ie NMH and MOT is a formidable race, however, there is one easier (at the moment) to win eg the JLT; the present 'fav' there is wholly on its form over hurdles last season and certainly not his jumping proficiency; the horses are in different ownership hence an ideal alternative for KV; the current 'fav' is also susceptible to stamina limitation ie no further than 20/21f, whereas KV is proven over 20/24f, and at 3x (then sp)  of 'fav' is an added bonus too.

Abre de vies entered up in multiple novice chases. Backed at 88.0 Rsa and 44.0 jlt on here if anyone fancies it.

Nice one scooby. He's very high up my list of horses to follow. An entry over 2m2f and 3m to really help us decide on potential targets Plain

Don't think he could be saved for the Novices Handicap Chase do you?

I know RR doesn't have a runner in the JLT so maybe he will want one, but wonder how WPM would feel about this fella, Shaneshill and KV all running against each other? Unless Pont Alex is going for the 4 miler and this is their RSA horse? Alot going against him if it is though, making his debut this late? As usual, more questions, than answers.

Actually forget that, no chance of getting 3 runs into him to get a mark now have they.

Having backed Shaneshill and KV at decent prices for the JLT, will be sick if AdV runs as well!

So Ruby is staying at home to ride Pont Alexandre. Surely an indication that he is the RSA horse, especially with K.Vic following the JLT path

He went widely un noticed in the bartlett finishing 4th and he's very lightly raced. Ran a mighty race at punchestown of top weight and I'm very interested to see if he takes to fences. Could be some big market changes coming up in the novice chases. I just can't have pont alexandre, hes fragile and he beat absolutely nothing in his chase win. Balbir du mathan well beaten since by zabana and others. I'm hoping abre de vies hoses up. And pont alexandre gets beaten. Although pont seems to be well placed by mullins.
Worth a shout though imo.
Aurko one to watch out for if gets an entry soon.

delsie. Is it really that surprising iyo? His only other option would have been to ride Black Hercules at Warwick wouldn't it? Not like he's turning down big rides to stay at home. Sempre Medici entered for RR as well tomorrow. Dont think it tells us much myself as would have always expected him to do this.

CCM - Quite right, not a huge surprise to those of us who have stuck with Pont Alex. I just wanted to see him run here as I want to see him in the RSA. The fact that Ruby has kept the faith is great news. I know there are one or two who can't have him, and I can quite see why. But there are some in the district who still think Pont could go to the top. They were chuffed with his jumping in his comeback race and once thought of him as a GC horse. No question it's a big day for him tomorrow and I think this is a key race in deciding where everything goes in March. For example, if he bombs out, you can screw up your K.Vic JLT tickets cos Ruby will want him to go RSA so he can ride Shaneshill!

Pont race  is a lose lose situation. If he dosent win by much or some how he loses against against them 3 he won't be good enough. If he wins easy people will say it's a poor  small field event and he's still beat nothing, Good placement by mullins

Someone mentioned it earlier in the week but did n't PA travel poorly when he went to the Festival a few years back? (to get to Cheltenham I mean, not in the race Grin)

Anyway might be part of the reason PA stays at home plus, assuming Wylies still based in north of England, Warwick is not a bad place for them to go and watch Black Hercules.

Mullins has a great record at Warwick (predominantly in hurdle races) and it's a trappy little race but Kim Bailey's mare has the best form and the least weight - Definitly Red and Black Hercules both have bags of potential and the Nicholls and NTD horses set a decent standard but I'll be looking to back Emily Gray if Black Hercules makes the market.

Black hercules certainly has a race on his hands tomorrow, will be interesting to hear what connections say after the race if he wins. I'm in the minority but I still think rsa.

Thanks for that. Looks a big test tomorrow but if he's going to have a good chance of winning the rsa he's going to have to beat these.

agree = silsol had hard season already and definitely red will need to avoid the kind of jumping mistake he made lto - but either way bh should win - my worry is whether pm is objective with this horse - anyhow gl scooby

If PA does not hack up tomorrow then he has no chance in RSA. The other illicit s horse was beaten by Monksland who was stuffed twice by NMH. Anything other than an easy win you can count him out of the RSA.

Big race for me tomorrow. I have put up Definitly Red as having a live chance in the RSA. Needs to beat Black Hercules comfortably tomorrow to have any chance
in the big one

I've ploughed into Pont Alex for RSA. He and Killultagh Vic for the race. Black Herculese and Roi Des Francs for 4 Miler.

Bold play there cv. Might as well of backed pont today at naas and layed rdf and black hercules at warrick.  If/ when pont wins today can't see him being shorter than 8s in places

Got to be rsa for black hercules surely. Took a pull and jumped lovely throughout. Very impressive for me

Pont ain't winning this RSA on that performance.
RDF good prep for the 4 miler I thought.
They might meet again in that race.

What are your thoughts on black hercules? ? Might impressive for me. Suprisingly quite keen too. Not sure what pont will run in now, I'll be interested in rdf for the 4 miler if it's confirmed.

Rubbish from Pont Alex there. Big bust in my antepost play for this race and he was in far too many accas than he should have been. No chance of winning the RSA now after that.
By:

When: 16 Jan 16 14:11
Black was very good at the fences I thought and always looked the winner. Looked good.
Feeling is The two favs for the RSA are better horses, but he should certainly be considered for the RSA i reckon.

I don't think either horse will turn up at Cheltenham imo that just ran at Naas, PA def not, RDF might go 4 miler but for me Black Hercules def is and it depends on which Danny wants to ride imo cos we all know he will defo be having a ride in it. 2 in the 4 miler, 2 in rsa, 2 in jlt for Mullins Confused

Think BH has just pit himself in the RSA picture scooby, but as well as he jumped I can't help but feel he's a bit one paced and don't be good enough to trouble the two principals. Would definitely be interested in him in the four miler though.
By:

When: 16 Jan 16 14:13
Blercules will end up in the 4 miler imo, and I think he'll win for the Wylie's like Back in Focus.  Good ground would be my only worry.

I've got him 14's any race, but the four miler would be a lot easier.

Haven't seen the PA race so cant comment on that. Outside the top 2 in the RSA, especially if KV goes JLT, opposition if fairly thin on the ground.

When: 16 Jan 16 14:15
agree 4 miler for BH, looks an out and out galloper, relatively speaking he'll be one of the classiest horses to have run in the 4 miler....well him and Boraceava that isLove
By:

Iv gone in big for black hercules in the rsa. If he runs in the 4 miler I'll take it on the chin. Imo would be a very poor decision by mullins,
