Sorry mate
Best you don't get too carried away!! Softer the blow the better in this game.

All seriousness I find it hard to split the 2 favs.

Really interested to see how Drumacoo is progressing this weekend.
Blaklion wont be far away either imo.

Unusual for Jonjo to big up one of his like that isn't it though?  Bluff or double bluff?

Could be an informative Reynoldstown today - Drumacoo and Vyta Du Roc are two that could really enter the RSA picture.

The connections of NMH and MOT are unperturbed by the win of Vyta Du Roc who is more likely to go for the 4 miler, according to its trainer.

Vyta 34 on here for 4 miler 16.5 for RSA, did you see Henderson interview re horse?

I did: I thought that was what I heard on tele but will watch again tomorrow; the current prices for both the Rsa and 4 miler here are very similar ie 17/17.5

They are now not when you posted,STS has most probably nicked 34 for £2 lol just jesting.
Surely not good enough for RSA, even though ive backed it.

I'm not writing any of them off just yet, different ground and all that.

After watching the post race interview fully - I caught the last bit on the 1st - its trainer said no decision had been made yet but would not deter the owners if they chose the Rsa, but Vyta du Roc had also been entered in the 4 miler.

Vyta du Roc 36 £5.00  £175.00

I have a score on at 33/1 for the RSA though so i really hope he goes there whether good enough or not there has been a couple of winners of that said race that i thought were incapable of winning come race day (I won't say i backed them on here through advice off this forum or elsewhere as will have the after time brigade will be onCrazy) but they included O'Faolains Boy and Lord Windermere. Am not saying his form is there, but he is progressive, now if Drumacoo were to have won by a half dozen lengths we would have been talking about the next Don Poli or Bostons Angel maybe good enough to serve it up to MoT - NMH etc but he didn't, not sure if he didn't just have an off day or not but seeing as the race is a favorites grave yard and these hardy types often win i am hoping he goes.

Above bet is just a  bit of insurance.

Also backed

R.S.A

BLAKLION  EW 12/1 1/4 1-3 Missed all the 16s as waited till after he last ran but this price still beats on the day price by at least 5pts, another bet i am excited about in regards this race Excited
DRUMACOO  EW 20/1 1/4 1-3 Off day the last day or the travel over or something amissConfused If not, it's pretty worrying times for this bet Scared
VYTA DU ROC EW 33/1 1/4 1-3 remain upbeat that the market on here speaks in his fav for this race and not the 4 miler Plain
SEEYOUATMIDNIGHT  EW 33/1 1/4 1-3 - Excited by this one Excited
LESSONS IN MILAN EW 33/1 1/4 1-3 - not good enough slip in bin

ANY RACE-MORE OF THAT EW 6/1 1/5 1-3 - No comment but glad its any race Plain

Will wait till the day and see what or if any books push out NMH to a stand out price, if they don't am willing to gamble as think he could be plenty short enough especially if MoT goes JLT but with no guarantee of that their respective prices are what they will be on the day give or take a point to 1.5pts. Each to their own but if they both line up some books will push MoT others will push NMH.

Hopefully unlike a couple i've got this race by the balls Silly

Connections now suggesting that More of That festival target is "up in the air." Could be RSA or JLT.

John Berry, racing manager for the owner of MOT, said: "He's in both, it won't be decided until nearer the time. It's up in the air. We'll see what is running in each race."

I take that to mean whether No More Heroes shows up in the Rsa or not!
By:
FOYLESWAR
When: 25 Feb 16 14:55
yeah I would say whatever looks the" weaker"  would  decide imo, thing is they could  still see the rsa as being the "easier" option as apart from nmh and mot it looks a bit thin and a few may want to avoid these 2 and go for handicaps or the jlt
By:
duffy
When: 25 Feb 16 15:10
Yeah, I wouldn't see it as some sort of sign that they are scared of NMH, more the fact that they think their horse has enough pace for the shorter and enough stamina for the latter, if NMH was a bit pacier he'd have the same options.

..."on what is running..."

I do not concur: MOT was entered for the 2016 Gold Cup hence that will be his ultimate objective, and the Rsa is the perfect spring board towards that in my opinion.

I think MOT is a rsa horse, which makes it frustrating when they talk about alternative targets. If mot went jlt and hercules went 4m, the race becomes horribly diluted. Contemplating running away from NMH with a world hurdle winner ? ....flamin Irish. Anythin for a bet.

I think this wcould be the result of its prep which is far from ideal.

No he was n't - Jonjo talked about entering him but they did n't do it in the end - No More Heroes was entered in the Gold Cup but has subsequently been scratched.

It's also worth remembering that he'd never run further than 2m 4.5f over hurdles before he outstayed Annie Power up the hill in the World Hurdle. I still think he'll run in the RSA, might change my mind if it comes up soft - it's probably in the back of their minds that the RSA can be an attritional race.

By:

in fact his prep is spookily similar to his prep before he won the World Hurdle

2013: Won 4 runner 2.5m hurdle at Cheltenham mid Dec
2015: Won 3 runner 2.5m chase at Cheltenham mid Dec

In fairness the Relkeel would be a better race than the chase he won and he had a setback after winning that in 2013 but I'm not concerned about his prep (other than that you'd ideally prefer him to have had more practice over fences).

What price if the participation of MOT is confirmed for the JLT...3/1? He'll definitely be 'fav' on my book.

what I like about this horse is that he seems to be   one  that don't show an awfull lot at home but delivers on the racecourse ,on his debut he started 20/1 for a modest novice hurdle so obv had not been showing much at home ,and he seems to do just enough to get the job done in his races  , and likely he has lots more improvement in him ,wonder what price he is for next years gold cup ?

MOT is not quoted for 2017 GC yet, but 14/1 DC and Vautour follow by Douvan and NMH at 16/1.

What this means is that 'I don't have a ride in the RSA with a winning chance but might get on this if NMH makes the gig and Bryan rides....he might not complete'. He forgot to mention that he isn't eligible to ride in the NH Chase and that this represents the horse's best chance of winning at the Festival.

Come on lads and lassies....we get the same shoite every year. Work it out for yourselves. Fortunately, I don't think Giggy are that dumb, especially as they fecked up with Wounded Warrior last year.

If i owned black hercules i'd want him in this race, especially if MOT didn't turn up. Agree with festival fanatic. Owners should consider 4 miler for RDF.

Yeah, that time of year when nearly every runner will be tipped up at a preview night somewhere.

If we would have had NRNB, I would have piled in to MoT for the JLT, as I've said for a while I think everything is pointing to the JLT.  I think he'd have a much better chance in that; not because of the presence of NMH, I just think it will suit MoT better, as he is very pacey rather than a stout stayer.

Since the JLT has become a Grade 1, I think the quality has been a lot better than the Arkle, and this year is no exception.  Fair do's the Arkle has had some top quality favourites in the last few years, but aside from Sprinter's, the strength in depth has been appalling.

Outlander vs MoT is one of the clashes I'd most look forward to if they met.
By:

They have agendas. Ruby would try and get on hercules if mot went jlt. I genuinely believe the rsa is the race for mot, but our opinions don't matter at the end of the day. It's a waiting game.
