I would rather back MOT than lay NMH. I'd say BC and RDF will run in 4miler with KV and Outlander going for JLT.

Looks like MOT is heading to Newbury on Saturday over 3m (depending on ground conditions).

Graham Wylie (GW): JLT - Shaneshill
Gigginstown: Outlander (to avoid NMH)

Is Black Hercules (GW) a definite for the 4 miler? Otherwise I think it could give the two principals ie NMH and MOT, a proper race; as for Blaklion - I like this horse a lot as it is genuine and tends to be overlooked but wins at good prices - I do not think it possesses the class or the ability to challenge NMH and/or MOY though.

I backed Blaklion after he fell at Cheltenham on here at 134's. He's done nothing wrong since and has to take his chance. Anyway I bottled it before yesterday laid at 20. I still have a nice win should he do it, but can't help thinking MOT or NMH will have too much class.

The WPM angle? BH beat Definitely Red (getting 4lbs) last time and that horse couldn't even get close to the exposed Blaklion yesterday whilst getting 7lbs. PA and Outlander are barely 150 rated horses against two potential 160's. Willie should just put a big X across this race and move on to much easier races. imo

Definitly red certainly got close in my eyes, just got very tired on very soft ground. I could see him running here now also.
Really think people over rating mot and NMH in comparison to the rest and I'm a mot backer at 17.5. Both horses have won well but have beat nothing of note yet. Outlander beat monksland as comfortable as NMH did imo,  And mot has beat absolutely nothing of note yet.

There's nothing in Ireland that will get within 3 length of more of that,or England for that matter, jumps, travels and will be running on up the hill when others will have had enough.

I think you're forgetting when NMH beat Monksland out of sight over 3m last time. Both times Monksland jumped terrible. Outlander looks more of a JLT horse to me and given the same connections own NMH i'd say he's more likely to go there. GL

As de mee got with 2 1/2 lengths so that's a pretty bold statement.

Only ever does enough scooby, beat Annie power by about the same distance,I should have said 2 length maybe,it was also over 2 and half mile when it beat as de mee, will keep on up the hill, can't believe is not favourite really

My main worry with mot is if they sent him jlt. Fair enough if outlander goes as was expecting that could be the case. But mot would hurt.
Positive entries though according to the above post. And the jlt looks a very hard race to win, where as the rsa looks wide open to me.

I honestly think it will be rsa, better horse the further they go,will be carrying my gold cup money next year

There's one in Scotland that might though, formed franked by Blaklion yesterday

SCOOBY! Outlander was virtually all out to beat Monksland by less that 3 lengths. NMH beat it by 27 lengths and it could've been a lot more.

Outlander was all out? Have you sen this horse run before?

Your talking about 3 mile form with NMH last race there. He beat him 2 1/2 lengths over 2 mile 4 both were ridden then eased before the line. Watch both races on atr player as I just have and see who won more comfortably??

I have to say Scooby is right . Outlander was very impressive yesterday and an up in trip will only help .

There's no more than a length between no more heroes and outlander over 2m4-2m5 with free expression in there also. Brian cooper was more animated if anytning on NMH and monksland was never closer to outlander than he was against NMH apart from when he was eased near the line. Almost identical  performances apart from outlander being on the pace and NMH just off it.

NMH and Outlander two brilliant chasers for the future, Mullins said Outlander wasn't great last year and is starting to come into his own . Winner of the best graded race of the season last year in Ireland . Outlander 4th Neptune . Martello tower 1st Albert Bart. Windsor Park 1st Neptune . Killtough Vic 1st Martin Pipe . NMH Albart Bart 3rd . so shows what Mullins thinks of Outlander

NMH is defy not going to drop in trip now, so can't see any way connections will up Outlander distance when they don't have another credible JLT horse.

Giggsy if you take 2 mins to download atr player it's very useful to watch the form and obvs free, I would be interested to see what you think if watching both races.

I'm not sure what they will do I'd say in all honesty they'll prob go jlt on first impressions.  But I think at a closer inspection and a look at the oposition there's no doubt in my mind I'd stick ruby up and go rsa. There's very little between them and who's to say they won't be 2 gold cup horses next year for giggi. They made the same mistake with valseur lido and may be the same again with outlander beating NMH at punchestown.

IMO Outlander needs the three mile and the Neptune showed it . Out paced and stayed on . Remember he got beat by Martello Tower by a head over 3mile giving it lbs then turned the tables at LTown remember also beating NMHs . I know fences are different but Outlander has been just as impressive over fences if not better . I can see Willie pushing RSA and Ruby will be onboard with Coops NMH's

Hope that's the case quevega, money aside iv backed for both. But I'm adamant he won't win the jlt but will place. But he could win the rsa and placed minimum.

This is a forum mate - for debating opinions and putting forward alternative ideas. These can then be argued and discussed. It may surprise you to know that your opinion is not necessarily always right. Save your 'Laughing out loud' for the kids.

As Giggi don't really have an Arkle runner, I'm sure they'll want to split their four across three high profile novice races; JLT, RSA and 4 miler. Can't see them putting two in the RSA and 4 miler, with nothing in the Arkle and JLT.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't turn out to be Outlander JLT, NHM RSA and Roi de Frances and Rule the World 4 miler.

McKinley and Tell Us More could go for a handicap like the Grand Annual or the 0-140 novice handicap chase that Irish Cavilier won last year (both are high 130's at the minute).

Could well be right Well Chief , obv its nice to have a winner in both but just thought myself RSA would be the right race . Doesn't always work like that unfortunately

Will definitely want to split them, they hate loading up in one race. Yesterday being a case in point - could have had more but opted for having just 5 of the 10 runners in the Irish Gold Cup.

Think he was the County Hurdle 'steamer' last year  mainly because it was trained by Charlie Swan. The talk was that it would be Charlie's last hurrah, but only flattered briefly behind the good thing Wicklow Brave. Now switched to Elliot. I'd have put him with Tony Martin myself, so I would - and had a go at the Grand Annual
