Yes, very much so. Hadn't noticed it until you mentioned if on here so thanks for that! Got 10/1 MTOY, 9/1 FLY and free bet on OC after he drifted to 15 a bit back then laid off at 6.4. Need to get TNO onside at some stage and still don't have a clue which will be main bet come the day!!!

Hurricane Fly ain't winning in March.

The New One will win from My Tent Or Yours in 2nd with The Fly in 3rd.

Our Conor and Jezki have no chance.

He did Bally - it's on a different thread, possibly then CH one. A few mentioned they had taken the hills offer

Fair enough. Time for him to lay off then.

Bally maybe saver on Fly then you have all angles covered, you know you cant resist?

Perhaps Bally will give us a good reason why HF won't win....look forward to seeing if he can come up with something other than his age !!!

Yes last season was same too old, cant win back crown after losing it etc. This is a top horse for last 5 years and still many question him, which is good why it was still 6/1 before today. Some have missed out maybe?

Budd you having saver in Gold Cup to cover your Conti bet? Hope you right re Conti backed at 10s and 9s and doubles with Fly.
So looking promising at present, think saver Bobs Worth now 3s with Badblokes was 7/2 way to go to save stake re Conti,as cant see past those 2?

I just don't think he will win. Simple as that. Hurricane Fly is a tremendous horse, one of my favourites and anyone backing Our Conor and Jezki to beat him today should, and I mean this with total respect, just go play the virtuals.

I think The New One and My Tent are going to be too quick for him at the age of 10. I didn't say anything about his age last year against (in my opinion) a weaker field than he will meet next year if the aforementioned two stand their ground.

I think he will be done for toe up the run in to be 3rd.

Think we had a similar discussion with Al Ferof in the King George Budd? Was all over him as a lay and put up Silvi and Dynaste. Just gut instinct.

Only 2 horses aged in double figures have won the Champion Hurdle since its inception in 1927.

It can be done, obviously, but that is enough for me to take on The Fly.

You may be right Bally,as you were about AF,But you so it so matter of factly, and we all know punting don't work that way.
As yet neither TNO or MTOY have proved up to the level of HF,not to my eyes, perhaps you have seen something I aint. If its just his age then that is simply hope on your part.... as re your bets on TNO and MTOY....IMO.

Well I am in a position to lay off,but at this moment I think HF is the best 2m hurdler around.
So no intention of doing that, but things can change, especially when you have an open mind and don't say things like so and so cant win!!

You cannot be a professional gambler without firm views.i don't have a bet on anything unless I'm at least fairly sure I have got it right.

Hurricane Fly is undoubtedly the best 2 mile hurdler around but age catches up with all the greats. Kauto,Baracouda,Denman etc...go have a look at how horses aged in double figures fare in the championship races at the festival. I don't give Jezki and Our Conor a hope in hell of winning a Champion Hurdle so yesterday was totally expected.

And I know about Jezki being close to Tent in the Supreme etc but as the champ says he is a different horse this year.McCoy won't get off Tent for Jezki.ive got Tent at 7s but I'm still not sure he's got the bottle for a Champion Hurdle. Expect him to get done by The New One if Sam just calms himself down

im a recreational gambler with firm views, so firm that I will only back 1 horse  per race,  maybe 2 in the handicaps win only.

the only time I will bet a second horse in a race is if for example ive backed faugheen for the Neptune antepost and he then goes AB I will then have to re-evaluate the Neptune race and bet accordingly...

Maybe best novice hurdle of season in UK this Saturday at Sandown, The Liquidator one I interested in backed it at 40s before 1st run this season for Neptune lol, had to back again for Supreme after his 2 wins. Irving also entered and The Skyfarmer, not sure re Irving running as will be 4 runs in pretty short time, hoping they give him bit of rest.

Proviso is Cue Card going Gold Cup hopefully, also lots of ifs and butts re this race as usual, but 20/1 worth a punt if showing will be single figs?

Ryanair back up Al Ferof 7/1 nr free bet, with doubts over Cue Card, First Lieutenant, ( Gold Cup bound ? ) Arvika better right handed and Dynaste, Al Ferof back at Fav track at right distance rates decent bet at 7s nr fb.

Albert Bartlett - Faugheen 8/1

Think Willie Mullins will go :

Supreme - Moyle Park
Neptune - Briar Hill
Albert - Faugheen

But we shall see. NRFB anyway as are a few of mine.

Bally think Vautour maybe one for Supreme for Mullins ( may run more than 1 ) decent money in market today for it, but entered up over 2 mile 4 f this weekend with Briar Hill, Sandown and Ireland.

Gold Cup :

Rocky Creek e/w 50-1.

Another NRFB. Being aimed at Argento and if goes well there, price will tumble. If flops then probable non runner in March

Neptune

Faugheen 11.5 on here

Have it for AB but after seeing Briar Hill run there could see that move to 3m and Faugheen go Neptune
