The Liquidator Neptune 40/1 before it won fto this season ( could be going Supreme therefore my bet on Faugheen needs to improve jumping.

Too many to mention to be honest haha!! best ones probably ballycasey and just a par @ 25/1 rsa plus the Mullins trio faugheen, moyle park and briar hill if they go for my elected races. Most of my prices beat the bookies prices at the moment and most are nrfb so i'm in a good position at the minute :)

CVB - why do you say your Zarkandar World Hurdle AP is lost ? Something been said ? Cant see Z running anywhere else at Cheltenham Festival. Suspect they might hold him back for Aintree Hurdle over 2m4f but if he goes to The Festival I reckon World Hurdle is the only option for him.

Nicholls said he doesn't look like a step up in trip will suit him based on his 2nd to Annie Power. So I think he'll probably run in the Champion Hurdle or skip the festival.

Got to be a skip then hasnt it. He can't win a Champion. Guess there may be a dependency on Big Bucks. If BB is not right then Z could well be the Nicholls World Hurdle horse. Got an interest coz have Z and Cue Card in a AP World Hurdle/Gold Cup double placed in April………so as you can imagine at a decent price ! Hence the sensitivity…

3 in a decent position, 1 that might be OK and 3 down the pan so far, will be adding more in the next couple of weeks. Most placed either during or soon after the 2013 festival. can't help but wish I had put the goodies in a multi or two!

stevo1...think Apache Stronghold dispatched of Azorian far easier than Briar Hill did. 16/1 too big. However he is a big strong horse - chaser on looks and I'm slightly worried if it comes up firmish in March.

UN DE SCEAUX 45/1 Champion Hurdle on Betfair LEVEL FAUGHEEN 20/1 for Supreme Novices. Better profile than usual, as normally have one or two fading into obscurity, but Christmas/New Year races will flush one or two of these out, so a reflection in a couple of weeks time could reverse the position. YANKEE Also have Fiver Yankee on: Kings Palace (Albert Bartlett) 16/1 West Wizard (Supreme Novice) 11/1 Faugheen (Neptune Inv Hurdle) 16/1 Un De Sceaux (Champion Hurdle) 25/1 Happy to have a mix of those with hope value and those with current season improvement, at the moment, but hoping West Wizard and UDS put in some top drawer performances to force themselves into the picture over the coming month. |

I just can't have Hurricane Fly whatsoever as much I am a fan of the horse and backed it in both of its champion hurdle victories. He's gonna be too old in March for me and The New One & Tent are up n coming youngsters with Festival experience.
What is laughable however is that Our Conor is shorter than the Fly. To my mind, that was not a strong Triumph Hurdle by any means and we all know the terrible record of 5yos in the race |

Same here ballydoyle re backed him last 3 Champions, 13/2 may look huge in 2 weeks? Wont be surprised if Jezki or Our Conor bale out out Leopardstown at xmas?

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Jezki and especially Our Conor don't turn up but the latter has to turn up somewhere.needs a run and we can see how good he is

I thought that Cue Card at 6.8 was a decent price for the Ryanair and it still is if he runs. Would probably go off even money should he go there instead of the Gold Cup.

Thanks. Hope so but long way to go....Silviniaco has to prove it at Cheltenham no matter how well he was going in last year's Gold Cup. Still, means I can play around.
Must say this is the most adult thread on the forum. Good ideas being spread around without people getting ultra defensive over their picks. I've picked up a few hints on here anyway and hopefully as a bunch we cane those cream cookies! |

I'm still crying at my 100/1 slip mtoy supreme/CH double from last year. this year has been a strange one for me, nothing has really got me excited in the novice races where as usually I'd already have a strong opinion on most of them. Only 2 horses I've played ante post this season are MTOY and Conti.
had a 5 pt double Tent 10/1 champion and 8/1 Gold Cup last April. Had the same bet as Bally Silvinaco Conti King George Gold Cup 33/1 3pt win also had that same bet doubled up with Tent for champion hurdle at 4/1. I think i need to start studying some more races If one one of them gets injured in the next few months I won't be looking forward to the festival at all. |

No idea,. I had expected it to run and wanted to see it but I think Mullins has seen a few of his get beat the past few days and thought hmm...will go for an easier race for more experience in near future then Leopardstown in Feb.

If there is one horse I'm confident of getting beat it's Our Conor. Just don't think he beat much in Triumph Hurdle and he's got the 5yo factor in March. I've got The New One and Tent on my side and confident they are better class than the rest apart from the Fly obviously but time catches up with all horses. Runs tomorrow so will see more.
