The Liquidator looks a nice horse and showed a good attitude today, but I suspect he's not even the best 2m novice in the stable.

Red Sherlock & Doctor Harper both look top prospects this season also

Red Sherlock - Pipe said was schooling well at Timmy Murphy's prior to arriving back from the summer and not long been back at the yard so would imagine will now go novice hurdling

He has beaten absolutely nothing there. Looked good but most would against that kack.

I thought PFNs Irving looked decent last week. Will be keeping an eye on him.

Sintonian, my dad has a share in Irving. He is a little excited, but Im not us what he beat first time out.

Cheers Simon. I suspect the horse in second, Cup Final, will be winning races given it's breeding and stable but at what level who knows. Any ideas where they may head next with Irving? I see he is entered in a Listed race at Haydock and also Ascot this weekend.

The Philip Hobbs-trained youngster was surprisingly easy to back despite having beaten Regal Encore on his hurdling bow and was sent off at 15/8 as the weight of support forced the well-regarded Gone Too Far into 5/6 favouritism.

The writing appeared to be on the wall for supporters of Alan King's charge with Robert Thornton (standing in for an injured AP McCoy) niggling his mount along on the far side of the track as the eventual winner freewheeled along at the head of affairs.

Gone Too Far did force his way into contention on the turn into the home straight but was soon left floundering in the mud as Johnson kicked the four year old into a commanding advantage which he maintained to the line despite a couple of sketchy leaps.

The winning distance was 11 lengths with a further two lengths back to Mystifiable in third.

Johnson revealed that he was in front sooner than he liked but that he hopes that there's plenty more to come.

"We haven't gone very quick but he's jumped the third that well that he's ended up taking me to the front before I wanted to," he told Racing UK.

"Ideally I'd have liked to have had a lead until the second last but that's just the way it happened. He's very straightforward and as I say he's a horse on the upgrade and potentially a nice one for the future.

"When he won at Aintree the second horse (Regal Encore) was very keen and it's hard to know the form until he runs again but this horse is definitely very smart.

"He won his bumper last year and then had time to fill out and grow up and it's the best thing that's ever happened to him. This year he's much stronger, he's only four but he's a real man of a horse now.

"He's still green but lots more potential to come. He seems to go through the ground whatever he's faced in his three runs he's coped with it but two miles on soft ground is, perhaps, the right trip for him at the moment but when we get better ground in the spring we'll find out how he handles that."

"We'll probably pitch him in somewhere better next time. These are the horses you are hoping to find from the horses coming through."

Amazed that we've seen a few very good performances of late yet West Wizard still tops the market.

Just watched Moyle Parks last 3 races again on the ATR site and feel he is definitely more of a 2 miler (show plenty of pace and quickens) so have taken 14/1 nrfb with VC.

Defintely budd. Visually impressive but my instinct says that he hasn't beaten a lot yet. Be interesting to see him up against one or two more useful types.

Not in a million years. I backed OR for the Neptune in May and having watched back his bumper races and one hurdle race last night, he's got far more chance of ending up in the AB than the SNH. He's a relentless galloper

Interesting Royal Bond there, winner looks a Neptune type, but the third Arctic Fire was flying at the end, after finding some trouble in running; the least fancied of the Mullins trio. I've had a wee tickle on this one at 33's with billys.

Wonder if the owner will regret moving him. I remember going on a stable visit in 1996 and he said he wasn't a big fan of schooling as the horses teach themselves to jump. That's never chimed with me.
