Really not sure ground in favour, trainer stated better ground for him, but should win tomorrow if not no Cheltenham imo.

Re Cash and Go, transpires he was lame and has scoped badly(source, Ken Pitterson column, weekender). Can't imagine he will be running anytime soon.

There is no way the horse will be straight catch me after finishing lame and scoping dirty to run in 3 and half weeks...

With all due respect Harry, I'd say EOG knows better than any of us..... If he thinks he is OK, he will run. he certainly wont risk the furture well being of the horse.

Well catch me there is where we have to disagree...running horses so soon after problems like he has had can lead to further pain down the line...listen it will up to you guys and hope the horse comes back safe and sound and you all have a good day out.

The Dermot Weld trained Galileo’s Choice kept his Cheltenham prospects alive with an effortless win in the Easter Festival 8th-10th April Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Robbie McNamara (who is now 9 wins from 13 rides for Weld this season), the 2/9 favourite went clear on the run-in to effortlessly defeat Grand National candidate Becauseicouldntsee. Afterwards Weld stated “it was a pleasing performance. Robbie said he wouldn’t be in love with the ground and apart from a slight mistake three out, I was pleased with the performance. “It didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know about him but it was more experience for him and provided everything goes well, he’ll take his chance in the Supreme Novice Hurdle. He’ll be a better horse on nice ground, is a dual purpose horse rated 110 on the Flat and can win more Group races. “If everything goes well in his next race, he’ll go back on the Flat then - staying Group races will be his main profession this year.” Stan James bookmakers subsequently cut Galileo's Choice to 10/1 (from 12s) for the Supreme Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham. |

Yep I would worry a bit about his jumping in the frenetic pace of the Supreme. Imagine what he will be able to do if he is a good jumper of a fence!

More impressed with Galileos Choice. A shame that Weld has such a shocking record at the festival though he has gone close with Unaccompanied and Rite of Passage recently.

Whilst visually very impressive, I think the form of GC's race is very poor myself Sint. Didnt look lkike Terminal ran any kind of race.

no judo missed the boat pal...am a little fed up...was hoping they would put a jockey on...still, robbie is alright, just started seeing other jockeys riding for him and hoped they would put townsend or lynch up but because he was on, I got worried out of it...nice price edge for you and I will wait till the day now...
just can't get an angle pal into this race...but do like him...he will go well...sous le cieux form looking ok I'd say... |

yes Harry I have liked him from the start and am kicking myself for not mopping up lots of big prices, could have greened up lovely and shut the book already
anyway he will go well on Festival going and has serious engine - not frightened of anything still in the race |

Just love all this,much better than having the bumper winner at a short price in the race.
At the moment im on Tetlami and Montbazon and have been telling myself to back STF,but aint as yet,and will probably leave that till the day. Only another dozen to worry about!! |

Ye agree just wish i had played this race and greened up... would be lovely green on him and cinders...
just think it is a roulette race, but maybe come the day it may get clearer but think i'll just bet in the run.... whats your opinion of the amateur on board?? does he worry you had my biggest ever grand national bet on majestic concorde last year greened him for 9k having had him to win 36k after scooping the 85's all year and robbie on board didn't impress me...he is ok in average races but would not invest my money in a worthy race again as think he is just ok...although I lie a tad was just starting to get a nice book on majestic again only for it not to be entered...love that horse |

am with budd a tad - quite like tetlami only think he is just another one to worry about...might just pick a number - although used to always be a big fan of lucky barry sheen number 7 in my casino days

yes I am not impressed with the jockey Harry - really hope they put a pro on...
you know when he is 6th or 7th as they turn for home you want someone with the courage and skill to nurse along, gaining momentum and to go for one big burst as they come to the last and then the strength to drive up the hill you ain't winning this race on the bridle with a turn of foot 100 yards from the line |

Yes is a big concern for me...like I say he had put the other 2 up on a couple recently and thought things may change...but no...and for this reason its a no from me...he may win but how can you bet with confidence...like you say they may put a jockey on and if they do I may back it as think he is classy...

I am hoping (and not just for my AP) that Simonsig goes for the Supreme. The watering policy suggests the ground could actually be slower on the Tues than the Weds. We do not know of course, but I think this horse would eat Tetlami and Darlan. This is the best novice I have seen in yrs and yrs in terms of the impression it makes. Alvarado IMO was right at the start - he is a freak.
