I find the anti queensland sentiment expressed in this thread sad and appalling
and not in the spirit of the Interdominion or harness racing in general as a battles sport that gives everyone a go
there has always been horses in Inter heats making up the numbers
there is no time in the history of the sport that there's been 40 genuine grand circuit horse racing at any one time
take a good hard look at the Victorian heat, where is the depth there?
the strength of  Vic is nothing compared to what is has been in the past
for one what an absolute flop Bitobliss is on the grand circuit, fact is he's abysmal on the big stage

talk about short memories.....the best Australian horse ever was a queenslander

VK. QLD Harness racing is sinking and sinking. Soon it will be the new Globe Derby.
Fact horses are just not good enough anymore.
When Blackie, Slipnslide and Be Good Johnny going around was different.
To have Aranova in Inter is an Embarassment. A horse like Abetorpunt might miss out.
Why can't Adel have a heat? Because they would keep up in Final.
Qld none in that heat tonight have any chance to win final.
Would even win open class at Melton

Best horse from Qld hopefully wins tonight at Menangle.

Someone is sensitive and delusional ...... probably wants that machine Pub Blitz in the Inter

Field Officer is a nice Horse but not up to Inter Standard.
Tonight I think Aranova will win.
Field Officer was 100-1 to win Ballarat Cup so for Inter should be 500-1
Maybe I'm old Fashion but I like 3 heats top points get through.
Never stopped Blackie

agree re Avonova - not sure how the race will be run but given an even break think it goes close

Always been both AD I've been going to and betting on harness racing for decades, I no longer bother going very often, the last times I went on track locally was during the last Perth Inters series, doesn't mean I don't follow the locals and the really big races avidly.

Its a joke that some Qld ant will potentially get a run ahead of David Hercules because of its bad barrier draw. Those Qld horses wouldn't be worthy of competing in the consolation, at least inthe WA heat you have two genuine class horses in , you couldnt call any of those in the QLd heat a genuine class horse. Go Smolda in the first heat, hope it hasn't conned me but it may just be a different horse now.

Congratulations to those that run harness racing this is what you've successfully reduced  the Inters too, rather than a fantastic series of racing you've reduced it to a track workout. The inters is officially farked!!! Terrible to watch that quality of horse crawling like that, so much for the ultimate test of man and beast.

2 years in a Row. Race was a joke. Even though I was on winner.
Has to go back to old format.
Vic race is only decent race. All others Walkathons

Fairly predictable that, you were betting a bit blind backing Smolda there. Still as hard to beat as anything in the final

i loved the old format too but it wasn't always that successful in recent years?

Yeah I think they had a lot of trouble with the second tier CTS, they wouldn't travel to race the top echelon I.e. WA has a nice race tonight but if it was held in the East there's no guarantee anything other than IV would come

i think the criticism of the QLD heat is unfair - ok this year's isn't strong but next year with Bronski and Majestic Mach all of a sudden not too bad and why not have something to aim at for people in the state

also the victorians getting three spots? last winner 1995 i think Wink

PS - if the heats were run in November Seel n print would have been in QLD

James Rattray, clearly an inbred Tasmanian.  Must of been asleep for all of the other races.  Why would you go to the front.  Gun horse.  Retard driver.  Would you really want to take 5/2 with that bloke in the bike in a big field.  Um no thanks

Best horse in the series but he is a massive negative.  That was as bad a decision as you will see.  The horse would of pis$ed in if he even sat in the breeze.  At the end of the day these blokes probably did not go to school past the age of 15 and are just dumb humans.

They went quick but it was still a bit weak in my opinion restrepo, its obviously not as good though when it has to run the gate.

If only the other Keyang was in that race. He is 20 mr better than Cullen. But great run by Cullan tonight deserves his spot. But Wartime Sweatheart over Carrabean Blaster. Oh no

Has Smolda really lived up to its NZ form in Australia though on anything resembling a consistent basis. Haven't watched the earlier races at menangle has the track been against leaders???

CB at the end of his prep - surely no wildcard there?
