The best platform to provide you with making an income, maybe you should express some gratitude.
But its easier to be whinging moron, I guess |
By:
oohhh, thats not nice
By:
Well the guy admits that Betfair's platform, with all of its built in charges, provides him with the best possible financial return. And yet he still claims those charges are obscene.
If they were he would be betting somewhere else. He is not. A grade moron |
By:
no one likes to pay more for things AD - but part of your point is valid, without Betfair there's no rivers of gold to start with

Looks like the tall poppy syndrome is alive & well Driver
The point of this thread was firstly to show how hypocritical the company is. The whole 'you're an important customer, you'll get premium customer service'. How about just charging me what they charge everyone else, instead of 15% (at least) more. So, do they promote themselves as a low cost operator (ie - don't 'take out' as much as the tabs). Betfair - the way betting should be. lolololololol The fact is they are a greedy monopoly, abusing their market position. Anyone who swallows the whole 'we don't make a profit in Australia' line is a moron that can't think for themeselves. I have to pay 20% & have been doing so for years . When i reach the 40% (about a 2 year cycle) i have to eveluate my options . Might go for an extended holiday .Last week interesing. I traded 6 days Mon - Lost Tues - Lost Wed - Won Fri - Lost Sat - Won Sund - Lost 4 losing days out of 6. 3 of those losing days under $100. Profit around $2.5k AUD. Bet i still get charged PC. ![]() |

You will receive even less sympathy now, PC, after you have confirmed you are a member of the " Ferengi ".

more importantly - what the fu ck was so important he didnt have a punt on thursday?

By:
Supply & demand Castiron. All above board.
By:
No doubt it's above board, but a bit parasitic for my liking.
By:
parasitic, what an inane observation
By:
Oh dear
So how them Nicks eh?![]() |
By:
They must be a low cost operator if they are still your most profitable option.
I repeat, if there charges are so out of control operate through someone else. Simple is it not? That's right, there charges are not at that level for you are they? So enough of your weekly dribble - you are an A grade moron |
By:
there charges
![]() Please explain!!! |
By:
Is that seriously all you have, picking a grammar error?
Guess you can't debate the issue, but I am sure you will post your normal dribble tomorrow |
By:
Anyone want to ask me any questions on the topic? I think I have a balanced view. My GP is at 291k; net profit 233k. Heading towards the not so magical 40%. Last year I won 50/52 weeks. I'm not an expert. I just know my trade. In the TAB or in punting land I'm clueless.
I can't do what I do (win) without BF. There's no point in whining. I have to play the game. All I can do is increase my turnover. Play a zero sum game as best I can. I don't blame BF for doing what they do. I would in the same position. |

Jpsh, don't hold your breath waiting for a genuine question. Trolls, cynics, the bitter and twisted, and the terminally jealous populate this forum.

Josh-T my new best friend! tell me how u do it mate, please, as PCisaripoff wont help!
By:
well that's true whoopi. You can see I haven't posted much in these parts. It was fun in 2004/2005. But I digress.
Live in hope: The vast majority of my profits relate to inplay trading. And generally around favourites. There's a few techniques, but none are rocket science. You just need discipline. And an analog radio and TV. I relate it back to the cricket. People are happy to wait hours for a team to go from 2.30 to 2. In the trots it's 2.30 to 1.60 in a flash. Take your profits move on. It's not difficult. People here will complain about volume. Really? If I can jag 100 bucks on most races it just keeps adding up. |
By:
good to seeing you still punching and knocking them out Josh
yes the forum was fun for a while but seems a long time ago now I wonder what ever happened to the punting muppet? |
By:
nice to see you too VK :)
good pick-up. No idea to be honest. Hope you're going well. |
By:
thanks Josh - I have the tv and the radio but what the f vck is discipline? good luck, not that you need it mate
By:
Discipline for me is being happy with a small profit. And just keep rolling...but I do know what you mean. I'm not a moody person - that's definitely a weapon.
Just need that decent API like Gruss/Traders/Angel/Toy too |
By:
by moody I mean not emotional. It's probably a bit sad, but ah well!
By:
thanks josh - where there is hope there is salvation!
By:
ah one other thing josh-T - the turnover tax must affect your bottom line pretty badly?
By:
certainly having an impact. It's one reason I went back to work actually - to avoid it. But the best times for me are Friday nights and Sat so I wasn't missing out too much. When I do pay it, it represents 15% of my profits on average. It's a pain, as is the premium charge. But as I said before I can't do it any other way. I treat it like the old Super Mario game. I've clocked it, but I still enjoy playing it.

Josh T...you must be a Big Shot

By:
I wouldn't call myself that. I'd rarely risk more than a couple of hundred dollars and aim to trade that out damn quick.
