PC lays 95% of the time LIH, i'm pretty sure he has stated that, stand to be corrected PC
PC, the TAB had a virtual monopoly. did u make that sort of profit for effort when BF werent around..........Im betting a little on "NO". ive got no problem with the BF comm........i certainly beleive the bigger you play together with the bigger profit, the more you should pay. BF will increase that line until they hit the point when the bigger players start to actually leave, and then they make indivual deals, and since u are bitchen so much why dont u threaten to leave and try and strike a deal to stay. Or is it still worth youre effort to profit ratio....ROI, the way it is? of course the best solution, as you elude too is "competition" and when it comes along i'll jump ship too. but until then this is what we've got |

maybe its just a matter of a decent programme ie **** or whatever and laying 20s or better to win a certain amount.
if i can stump for a bank i might give it a go saturday |

My conclusion on the turnover charge is that it has caused even greater integrity problems. It punishes regular (honest) punters but doesnt affect the punters that make larger less frequent bets. i suspect some punters that rely on information are perhaps making less regular & larger bets when they are more confident on the result.
In recent weeks I have turned my attention to overseas racing (in particular US racing) so that i only need to worry about the premium charge (if i'm lucky enough to win) |

well its certainly not a nice start to the weekend -
Total available: -$78.73 |
|

The system is working when things like this are happening
betfair need to make changes |
|
By:
is it legal really???
apart from that if i didnt have a gazzillion bets last week, a gazzillion bets would not have been matched producing a gazillion winners who had to pay a commission to BF. |
|
By:
you should be able to click on my account and know exactly where you stand in regard to this fee
|
|
By:
im going to do some investigation into this fee - i have a friend who is a legal man, so wont cost me.
i just dont think its kosher, something smells about it to me. im not whinging - i knew there would be financial consequences - just i dont feel this is right |
|
By:
log, right on both fronts, but probably more like 99%.
& before Betfair i could not profit from my betting activities. Have made no secret of that. Re threatening to leave, maybe i'm not actually here at all :-) |
|
By:
If you're not here why are you paying these charges

no need to reply should you feel uncomfortable of course |

LIH, i have had a negative balance several times as a result of either turnover charge or premium charge.
I dont know how they can impose a fee on transactions that happened up to 9 days earlier and allow you to effectively bet on credit with that money. One day i will not put funds in my account and say goodbye forever & they can chase me for the balance (if they dare b/c the first email or letter they send will go straight to every politician i can find) |
|
By:
Kye
i doubt they will give a flying .... gamblers dont rate that high on vote counter |
|
By:
yes kye you make sense
i will not be betting on here for a couple of weeks - so in affect the amount i owe will not be paid unti then and also they will miss out on any commission i would generate. There is definitely something not right with this formula. in play back betting incurs a turnover fee doesnt it? |
|
By:
Nick, your right possibly except when it comes to gambling debts. Nick Z & Andrew W would love a story about how a punter got in debt with a gambling corporate & how they allowed him to bet on credit in effect without his consent.
|
|
By:
im not 100% that tab fixed odds incurs a turnover fee from the race clubs
maybe some one knows? also my earlier question - does in play betting incur a turnover fee? Im thinking yes but not 100% |
|
By:
Yes and yes
LIH |
|
By:
nick - i would wonder why and why? lol
especially the in running scenario - the event in affect has closed for wagering and now its just the result that is imminent. how the tabs got a deal not to pay turnover or fees on fixed odds is beyond me - especially as its the way of the future |
|
By:
the clues are adding up......so Mr PCIARO you run a laying bot?.....the type that jumps in front of you no matter what price someone puts up?
|
|
By:
VK if you or someone could hold him down, i could tickle him until he spills his secret for success
|
|
By:
pass on that as it sounds a bit gay.....a blow torch and a pair of pliers Pulp Fiction style would be more manly.....IMO
|
|
By:
uumm, perhaps youre right.
|
|
By:
No bots :-)
|
|
By:
well PC do you dutch lay outsiders?
|

very well done mate. |

To those of you that are unaware, please note how lucky you are regarding Premium Charges. For example the top rate in the U.K. is 60% and my son has been advised that he's now one of the lucky ones and is now liable to pay P.C's of 40%. No doubt that unless some sort of action is taken here it will eventually be on a par with the U.K. All suggestions welcome as if things don't change Betfair will lose more and more clients as they are doing in the U.K.

That's not just the UK....I am on 50% here

Top rate is 60% here. If he's paying 40-60% he needs to think outside the square. Fairly easy to avoid it, unlike the 20% thieves

Mr Ripoff thats good that you don't use bots because if you did that would make this whole thread REDUNDANT

![]() probably a silly question but can you increase your stakes to offset the PC??? i.e. instead of aiming to win $5k aim to win $10k and still clear $5k??? |
