LE,
Your bias is showing again. Gibbs isn't overrated. He's poorly handled. Kid could be anything. |
By:
My opinion Snake that's all I have never liked him, it's got nothing to do with any bias toward blues or not.
By:
How many weeks, Judd?
I think he should be charged with assault. Mick will have him looked after in Port Phillip, still.....it's for the best he does some time. ![]() |
By:
I never saw it Spoon so I can't comment, I do know he played a lone hand though on friday night and its only him that kept them in the game for two and a bit quarters.
By:
Gibbs could be a Superstar like Goddard.
Just played wrong |
By:
That would require Gibbs to have a heart transplant, and the way Goddard has played since those two GF's has been relatively ordinary given his abundant talent, so no in his current form this season which has been terrible Goddard is not a superstar.
By:
that was a low dogs act by judd...rest of the season if the AFL are serious. you just dont walk up to a guy pinned to the ground by your team mate and chicken grip his arm , your arm is designed to raise in front of you, not the back of you.
anyone know where i can see a replay of the north / carlton game?, been up bush and it seems its the only match not on foxtell replays all week ![]() |
By:
I haven't seen the incident either
![]() Surely 20 weeks though ![]() |
By:
g'day SPOOON...
![]() watch, he will get the minimum |
By:
and i dont mean a minimum chips
![]() ![]() |
By:
yep, it was a dogs act, not an accident and done deliberately to cripple another player. He needs 10 for that IMO.
By:
gibbs should be played down forward imo, and then u would c some talent i'm certain
By:
Opposition back man would run off him at every opportunity. Not much chop for mine and is a wasted draft pick, Eagles can't talk they took Brad Sheppard ahead of Lewis Jetta, Sheppard will probably be a handy to good player Jetta will be a star, I couldn't believe we let Jetta go at the time imagine having his blistering speed and skill playing every second week at subi.

I want FEV Back.
Tell him now. You get a Chance on Following Conditions. You Get yourself Fit to playing conditions. If doesnt make the Cut then not drafted. You stay away from any Alcohol. Paid Min Payments with Bonus on Performance and perfect behaviour for the whole year. He will play for Nothing. Yes he has had chances and stuffed it up. But really what has he done wrong? Hasnt hit anybody, just stupid drunken acts. Yes and ill get shot down for this. He is a ROLE Model for what not to do. He has learnt his lesson, paid his price. Carlton WONT have any chance to get top 4 next year unless FEV is back. Ill even give you some Mail, Judd would welcome Fev back. It would be 100-1 he even gets Drafted but is best player not playing AFL. Was On Gold Coast the Weekend Didnt Realise things where so Bad on Gold Coast. Joint is Empty so many Closed down Shops and Hotels that are normally 200-300 a night going fo2 $80 a night. I stayed Cheveron 2 Bedroom Apartment $89 a night its normally $300. Place was not even Half full. Restaurants practictly giving Food away. Also went to Gold Coast vs Brisbane on weekend. 14000 people for 2 local teams. Friday night impossible to listen to AFL on any Radio station on the Gold Coast. Hotel i was staying at Had Fox Sports but no AFL station. Was not on any Live TV Went to a Bar that Advertises Afl and NRL asked why AFL was not on they said it was a Big NRL game on and nobody watches AFL here. Hard to find a Shop that Sells AFL Merchandise. On Arrival at Ground there is no Drop off point. Nice Night for a 430 start Football. Terrible Crowd. Drop off Point s 1-2kl away from Ground. we had a 4 year old Kid and had to walk so Far just to get to Ground. Cost for a Seat and the Lady said im sorry the Seats are not Good $35 Adult and $12 a Kid. We opted for the Family Pass $72.50. I Gave the 2nd Child pass to a Dad buying a General Admission for Him and his Kid he was over the Moon. Said i made his day, as he told me now he could afford to Get his Kid something at The Footy that he had saved weeks just so they could go. We Got to our Seats. If it was seats at the G would of Been $100+ Seats where Great. They Put on a decent Pre Game show. Every Qtr they have Kareoke time and winner wins $100 Voucher. Wasnt the Best of Games. Crowd went more Crazy when Gold Coast won a QTR and Mc Donalds Gave every ticket Holder a Free QTR Pounder. After the game the have a 5th Qtr Bar that has a Band playing. Thre is a Ground with Flood lights on to have a Kick on. 14000 people all trying to get out was a nightmare. It took about 30 mins Just to get to the road to Cross. There is 1 exit point. Overall a disappointing Crowd. It was Bris vs Gold Coast, should of been a sell out. But they are trying. Adults will not return if they have to walk their Kid 1-2 KLs just to get to the Gate. Needs a Drop Off Point. Or a Pedestrian Bridge built so you can exit 2 areas and not have to walk so far. Very long way away from breaking the market. Ill return to Carl vs Gold Coast Game. Already Booked my Flight and booked same Apartment same price. Its Smack in Middle of Surfers. Even had Ocean View 32nd Floor. Wont Drive this time will Catch a Shuttle Bus that Cost $15 per Adult. They have a Drop off Point. Right near the entry. Takes 10 Mins from Surfers. Told can take a while to get home by Bus. If they want it to Work. Get the Kids involved and Cheaper $12 Please for a Kid. Id Give the place a 9/10 but have to Rate it 5/10 only on So far to walk just to get to the Ground. Easy to get a Drink but a Bit of a Walk from the Stands. When they are Gold Coast are Good and on a Hot night Will be great for Sat night Games. Just need to Sort a few things out. Lloydy |

Lloydy I seriously beg to differ that an overweight injury prone has been, is the most talented player not playing AFL. Seriously mate that statement is just inane.
There are a number of guys in the WAFL alone that would run rings around him and not be a disciplinary basket case. He has well and truly had his chances and doesn't deserve any further opportunities, he was an embarrassment to not one but two clubs and while he may supposedly be a nice guy that doesn't entitle him to yet another opportunity when there is some kid out there busting their gut and doing all the right things and through circumstance and the inability of afl talent scouts to recognise a diamond in the rough, not getting that opportunity. Your scouts need to open their eye and scour these other competitions, country football etc searching for that diamond in the rough, fevola isnt going to win you a premiership or even put you into contention. He never chased or worked harder enough defensively when he was physically capable and nothing is going to change after a couple of years out of footy and opposition clubs will run off him at will. Tim Watson was an out an out champion and a doyen of the game and he was was incapable of returning to anything like his best after retiring and then making a football comeback, what on earth makes you think Fevola could. Taking Fevola back would be a massive backward step and surely no one at Carlton could possibly contemplate doing so and it sends a shocking message to your younger players that no matter what you do, no matter how many times you fark up that if you have enough football talent we'll continue to play you and give you opportunities anyway. Sorry Lloydy but sometimes the truth hurts, he wasnt a kid and he could have saved himself, his reputation and his career if he had done the right things at Brisbane and he made a conscious not to do so, there is such a thing ass personal responsibility. People like you and others who are still amazingly willing to fall all over themselves to promote him is a slap in the face to every young kid out there with talent who would kill to have had just one of the numerous opportunities that fevola was given. |

Can I finally have an Halleluja on Hawks being rightful faves or not?
By:
Not in our current form but the Eagles match up againt them ok and collingwood ok.
Am worried about the fact we dont match up well against Sydney, bombers and adelaide currently. Snake I agree though the Hawks are flying but as I have said they exposed collingwood's vulnerability which we did as well to a certain extent but turned the ball over at crucial times and wasted numerous opportunities. North are starting to gain some real momentum and are playing good footy as well and still think the cats can get on a big roll, tigers if they can get on a roll and sustain it can still sneak in they're last six games are all winnable ones, they would have to win all six but if they play like they played against north they are capable of doing that. |
By:
North might make the top 4. If they beat Collingwood they could win all 6 games and replace Collingwood or the Eagles. Take a look at their (the Roos')last 6:
Melbourne (1.12 faves) Bulldogs (1.25 or less) Essendon (1.55 - 1-70) Collingwood (1.90 - 2.10 or so) Fremantle (Etihad) (1.50 ish) GWS (1.01) 5 of those 6 are at Etihadw where they have been all but unbeatable of late. Only the GWS game is not and they'll win that for sure. |

By:
Cmon, Lets. Fev only needs to provide a target for the BULLDOGS. Kicks them from anywhere, great to watch.
Won't find a bloke with more to prove with one last chance. Comparing him with Watson is apples and oranges ![]() |
By:
that's why Petrie is going into my supercoach team ASAP Crazyman... his foot is right now and it could kick five a game from here on. It isnt going to help much with my personal supercoach draw though..ffs LLoydy and Tearitallawayagain
but what a draw NM have got .... i wonder if the big boss himself had a hand in that draw ![]() |
By:
ps: spoon i think lets is referring to Watsons' speed during his comeback, nothing like prior days and this is what would let FEV down.... no speed on the lead.
By:
Fair enough, I reckon he could "hover" and drag two opponents ....worst case.
By:
Fev was one of the quickest on the lead. I doubt he loses enough to make him ineffective, but no way the Doggies take him IMO.
By:
Fevola doesnt deserve another chance and as I said he never chased and harassed when he was physically capable, the game has well and truly bypassed him, any team stupid enough to recruit him would be taking a massive step backwards and as I said previously what sort of message would it send to your teams younger players.

Rumour has it the West Coast Eagles are looking to trade Josh Kennedy to the Yarrawong Pigeons for Brendan Fevola

Lets Elope.
Honestly Whathas he really done wrong besides cause Humur and making people laugh. Carlton where a Shocking team he was Kicking 99 Goals. The next year he could hardly walk and still was kicking plenty. Ask Dennis Pagen what he thinks about Fev? Loves him. Rates him Very high. Judd Would have him back in a Flash. Was Badly Managed at a young Age while had a problem, Old School Carlton just Shoved the Drink Cards and $100 Bills down his pockets. What has any Team got to lose Drafting him on a Clause? If Fev stuffs it again then Its himself that has to Blame. Game needs him and Characters like him. He is Harmless, just when drinking doesnt know when to stop and wants to be centre of Attention. I blame Carlton for the way he ended, Just ask Dennis and SOS. I hope Jenny Prat reads this. Lloydy |
By:
As for being harmless he got sent home from an Australian tour of Ireland in 2006 for assaulting an irish bartender or is that conveniently forgotten as well.
Im sure the bartender who was only doing his job found that humourous. I don't know about you but I don't take kindly to sportsmen officially representing our country acting like a total knob. I hope Carlton do draft him, he'll set them back another five years and if anyone there is that stupid to even remotely consider picking him up again they will get exactly what they deserve a complete and utter shamozzle. I seriously doubt the AFL would sanction his return anyway and would pressure them into reconsidering that idea anyway. I'm sorry Lloydy but in my opinion if you think Fevola is the answer to Carlton's problems you're seriously delusional. |
By:
Hmmm, putting Carlton back another five years....hmmmmm
![]() Ok, let's start a petition, BRING FEV BACK HOME!!!! Where do I sign ![]() |
By:
I'm with LE on this one. Fev doesn't deserve another chance. His track record includes shooting off all four toes on his right foot. He just doesn't know how to engage the safety.
By:
Just my thoughts.
He is a Star. Carlton are desperate for a Forward. Waite just cant stand up. Henderson drops to many marks. We are at 7 O clock and going Backwards. I reckon ive done worse than him. What he liked a Drink, went overboard sometimes. Held a Guy in a Headlock and the guy posed for photos then complains later. Liked a Punt. Never Bashed, raped, took drugs, hit anybody on the head with a Machette, was given to much lead and not pulled into line. Done his Time now Game deserves him back. Look at Barry Halls Record, Pluggers record. They done much worse. Simple tell him now get Fit. Do a Pre Season. Min Contract. What have they got to lose. Get 2 years out of him. A Fit non injury Free Fev is a Superstar and will run and tackle. Playing him on 1 leg Jabbed up to the Eyeball, then giving him drink cards and 100s to go and party really helps. Carlton Should take a Risk. If it works saves Rats Ass, Brings 10000 more people every game. Great Marketing and Free as will be front page every day, press will be non stop Dying for him just to pick up a VB Stubbie and making up Crap. Give Fev a go. He has cleaned his life up. If its a failure its still a Win Win for Carlton. Bring Back the Fev |
By:
He did go out with Lara Bingle for a while, is that nice crime enough???
By:
Actually, I think he just stalked her and took nuddy pics. Rumour has it he tried to sneak in through the back door without permission once or twice.
By:
"A Fit non injury Free Fev is a Superstar and will run and tackle." That has has to be one of the funniest things I;ve heard in years Lloydy.
No I stand corrected his earlier statment is the funniest I've heard in years "If it works saves Rats Ass, Brings 10000 more people every game." I seriously doubt in my opinion that there are an additional 10,000 carlton supporters suffering from the same delusions of grandeur. Typical Carltopn thinking, a half arsed short term solution that would render you irreleveant for another 5 years. Fevola is the disease, not the cure, he was a senior player, supposedly a club leader and yet consistently ran amok, he wasn't a 19, 20 year old kid at the time, Lloydy, when does personal responsibility come into play. Oh its the medias fault is it, well did the media get him on the turps consistently & get him to carry on like a chook with its head cut off, there are far more worthy footballers out there than him that actually deserve an opportunity. Fevola sure as hell doesn't but please by all means let the disease destroy your club yet again while the rest of the AFL sits around and laughs at your incompohensible stupidity because if Carlton take him on again that's exactly what will happen. |
By:
Try that one again incomprehensible stupidity

Let the real West Coast Story to come out.
Fev is a Saint to what they got up to. If the real West Coast story came out West Coast would not be around. Also Hawks of 6 years ago. Lets Elope. Fev is good for the game and a Top bloke if you personally know him. He has cleaned his act up. Give the bloke a Chance, Cus was given a Chance, Was never off the Gear and still on but he is everybodys hero still. Id rather a Drunken Clown that makes people laugh and not Hurts anybody than a Drugged up Fueled, Eyes Popping out of their Head player. And i wish Cus well and hope he can overcome his Demons. But its the past players before him. Wow if that was released. |
By:
I don't support Cousins either as far as I'm concerned and a number of my friends who are all Eagles members, he owes the Eagles members a huge apology for being involved in the systematic destruction of what should should have been a dynasty for the club.
Several senior administrative figures still at the club also have a hell of lot to answer for. If Cousins and Gardiner had been pulled up in 2001 and read the riot act back then he and Gardiner and everyone at he club would have been a hell of a lot better off which is why I applaud Richmond for doing the right thing for Dustin Martin's and the clubs future by suspending him. I am sick to death of highly paid prima donnas such as cousins and fevola etc who think they are above the both the law and the clubs policies, if you want to drink yourself into a stupor or take drugs don't play AFL there are plenty of talented kids out there who would give anything to have the opportunity these clowns were given as both of them had the world at their feet and made a conscious decision to throw it all away. Again where is the personal responsiblity and despite everything people like you and others still want to make excuses for them, neither deserve any further opportunities and people like yourself who keep pumping them up and fuelling their delusions aren't doing them any favours in the long term. It isn't that much of a sacrifice to give up booze, drugs etc and act in a responsible manner in return for setting yourself up financially for life. Finally it was a relatively small number of players at West Coast who were involved in that sort of stuff and West Coast were no different than players from the Hawks, North, Carlton, the Saints, Freo etc etc its just they weren't systematically targeted for exposure by the Victorian media and singled out by the AFL with the media not liking the fact that West Coast were on the verge of another dynasty. |
By:
It's funny. We all know the truth about West Coast and yet the story has never seen the light of day. Only in the case of Cousins has there been any dirty laundry aired.
What about the part Daniel Kerr played? The drug dealing and abuse. What about all that? Never heard anything about that did we! Every footy club has cover ups. Just ask Trent Croad. |
By:
Agree Snake, Kerr has cleaned up his act though a long time ago now and fletcher and chick were both and still are total knobs
By:
How do you know he has cleaned up his act?
