Gone with Clonmacash EW 5.45 Dundalk.
Had an unlucky run lto over C/D when 4th btn just over a length behind Sporting Hero and Inishfallen with Collective Power and Dontspoilasale behind in 6th and 7th. Meets them all on better terms when you include Sam Coens allowance. He's a decent apprentice now and has a record of 1212324127 riding this horse at Dundalk, so not a bad replacement for Adam Caffrey who rides stablemate I'm Spartacus itself a winner over C/D lto, a 5lb rise puts him on a mark he hasn't won from here before though. Horse itself has won 4 races and been placed another 9 times from 28 runs here. An open h'cap and quite a few have decent chances but hopefully Clonmacash can at least get placed again and possibly win. |

Just got up on the line after nearly being stopped in his run but a 9/1 winner gives us a good start in round 3. Think that's over 66 pts.

Thanks fellas, it's always a dilemma to know when to put up a horse especially just one a week but luckily for me it's gone right past few selections.
Could easily have put Mondays fancy up but there was just in the back of my mind that the horse may not replicate its form from previous run as that was better than anything shown before and that nagging doubt proved to be correct. People tend to mock that i like backing at Dundalk (as all Irish racing is bent) etc, but i find the form at Dundalk holds up really well, just depends how you interpret form i suppose. |

By:
Considering Country Park in the first at Chepstow as he is due a change of fortune. Has competed in Class 2 and 3 and drops to Class 4 here, connections obviously thought he was better than shown to date and if that is the case this race should be his to lose, would probably have won lto.
Fair price at the moment @ 11/4 and will probably put him up if not shortening too much. |
|
By:
Have put him up and just hope he does not shorten too much, would have won a class 4 lto but fell when going easily and ran a decent race at Market Rasen the time before, also class 4, more runners here and would like to see him making the running.

there's a possible @ ponte tomorrow

Keeping an eye on Fleur De Mer in the 1627 hrs Pont. The 6 yo mare is dropping back a couple of furlongs with first time cheek pieces applied. She hasn't won for a couple of years but has run respectable races in her last 3 on the AW at 1m 6f which imo just seems to stetch her, she has placed over 1m 4f and has been rated 16lb higher in the past.
The drop in trip and the pieces might be enough to get back in the winners enclosure and I would not be surprised if a change in tactics was employed i.e making the running. Has drifted to 10s so an ew price but any further drift would be off putting so going to wait and see how she goes in the betting and whether win or place, have backed her ew. Thoughts welcome. |

dont like the stable cg but ponte is a great gaff for a big price
before I commit I want to see if there's the big rail bias following on from last ssn or if its been watered out |
