A reprieve from Undecided and a lesson to look at the clock on my laptop instead of a wall clock, I had meant to put it up much earlier but forgot. Stuffed anyway and cost a few hundred like a couple of others in the evening.

Good morning lads, have spent some time between last night and this morning considering the betting in the 1405 hrs at Mkt Rase. The reason it caught my eye is that in my view the bookies have it wrong, they have Climbing and Camino Rocio very close together but it varies between them. Climbing between 5/4 and 7/4 and 11/8 and 7/4 Camino.
Both 7 year olds returning to hurdles having been chasing and neither having achieved anything in that sphere other than a single place for Climbing from 3 runs, Camino unplaced in 5. The difference is that Camino has won 5 chases and been placed twice whilst Climbing has won 1 and placed 3 times but is very inconsistent and beaten 55L and 52L in two from his last 3 either side of beaten by a neck. Camino was in fine form for this yard until his last 2 runs being pulled up lto, he is 5lb lower over timber whereas Climbing's rating is the same, Camino is also proven at the trip albeit Climbing was beaten only a neck over 2 furlongs longer but followed that with the 52L defeat over half a furlong shorter. Enough waffling, I just think Camino in new headgear and relative consistently could translate his chase form back to timber more reliably than Climbing and possibly make all. If I was making the book I would have Camino a shade of odds on hence why I think the books may have it wrong. Any thoughts on Camino for a compy selection and opinions on my view welcome? |

Out to 3/1 and Climbing odds on, unless a leg has fallen off I don't see why so going to chance that we are getting value.

By:
Sods law, get the fav beaten then stuffed by the two I never considered, sorry lads.

Going for Distillate in 8.00 Down Royal EW. Did do a little write up about it lto on 6/6 copy/paste below.
stewarts rise06 Jun 25 17:55Joined: 22 Apr 04 | Topic/replies: 32,716 Tempted to put up Distillate 6.35 Fairy, appears to be running into form and certainly a mark he's capable of winning from, but rather worried about the 1 stall today, might have a little bet for an interest but doubt i'll put in comp, due to having never ran here and a higher draw may be better. stewarts rise06 Jun 25 18:29Joined: 22 Apr 04 | Topic/replies: 32,716 Got boxed in on rail with nowhere to go but once extricated ran on well for 3rd, will be winning soon imo. Drawn in stall 8 tonight, hopefully get a clear run, the winner "I bid you Ajou" had a 10lb claimer riding it from a mark of 66 but followed up over same C/D from 75 no claim. Distillate up 2lbs so hopefully go close tonight. Expect will be about 13/2-15/2. |

Had a bad run again, sorry fellas.

gone Moments of Joy 2.30
I must have been the only one not overly impressed with Treanmor ![]() hopefully Moore can make all here |
|
By:
thought it came there to win but winner found plenty
least I was right about fav though that doesnt help us! |
|
By:
Not to worry NEC, had a free tenner on the winner but would rather have had the points from yours. Just Foyles and Acey left to go but do you want to nominate a wildcard just in case?
|
|
By:
in that HQ novice race treanmor beat the 2/9 fav that was turned over in the tuwajeri race...worthless form in context of a chesham
|
|

Hope not needed but Ghostwriter up in trip and down in grade could be value?
