A pleasing result Tangle.
He would have been an unlucky loser (already had one of those today) if he didn't win but he was very brave there. |

Doing alright so far.

Nice one, Happysandwich. Points on the board. I'd backed Summer In Milan to small stakes before I saw your post, but I'm not that bothered I got beaten.

Stark Warning (Win),upped in trip here from the 1M LTO @ Salisbury.
Was around 3 1/2Ls behind his stable mate & well odds on fav Stanhope Gardens who didn't run too bad in the Derby, finishing 5TH.Get's this 10F around here he should run well.If he beats Topteam,he'll win. GL fellas. |

I'm not blown away by this afternoon's flat action, to be honest, so I've posted my daily tip on the selection thread as well. Scots Poet 4:55 Hexham. A late recruit to fencing at the age of nine, but the bigger obstacles seem to have given him a new lease of life. He has had two more than respectable runs in class 4s, and this is a class 5 that looks very winnable. Fingers crossed. Hopefully, I'll find something at the Royal meeting throughout the week and not leave it until the last minute again.

Morning chaps, sorry I missed last week, had visitors and completely forgot. Anyway onto today, I like the look of Diligently in the 3.35 @ York. C and D winner. Ew around 14-1. GL today.
|
|
By:
WD with JM Jungle tangle. Fries my brain that horse. 3.35 Y Showering never settled lto, hopefully get some cover in this bigger field. Ground unknown but 22s seems generous. 5pt ew

Thx Chewy11
Going for Capital Guarantee 4.45 York, like the trainer/ jockey combo Whippin if u need a horse Star Of Mehmas 2.40 Sandown could be of interest,Moore good strike rate at course |
|
By:
I was looking at that one myself Tangle. If she can get out quickly she'll be very hard to peg back. So we'll use her for the wildcard.
|
|
By:
Whippin pity about Star Of Mehmas, seemed to falter when had the race in the bag.
|
|
By:
Yeah, she just ran out of Stamina in the last 50 yards
I'm not really sweet on anything today so I've gone for a big priced one at Bath. There looks to be a lot of pace on up front and this race could pan out nicely for the old boy Carp kid who should be running on late in the day. If he reproduces his seasonal debut run he should there abouts at the finish with the trip, track and going all perfect for him. |
|
By:
Carp Kid was never winning but he really should have got 3rd place, slightly hampered 3F out. Good luck with your selections Tangle and FP
|

Sorry boys, another bad pick on my behalf. I've been doing well on the daily tipping competition, and as soon as I put a selection on this thread, disaster strikes. I feel like I'm shortchanging you all. How many weeks do we have left?
|
|
By:
No worries FP. We were at least consistent in that we'd have one good half followed by a poor second one! I think they call that Sods Law FP.
We can't win the comp so let's try for the highest score for the round. Start looking for those big priced winners lads ![]() |

Ok WP. I'm on holiday this week, so I'll see if I can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

City Captain – 2:45 Carlisle

She's my nap today Tangle. She looks a rapid improver and she should thereabouts at the finish. I've gone for Flora of Bermuda in tomorrow's big race. I'll be going to Ascot tomorrow so I hope she goes close! And then I'm away on Holiday for a few weeks from Monday. Thanks for all your efforts chaps, we came up short but this comp is always good fun, I enjoy the challenge trying to pinpoint a best bet of the week.
I'll give Happy the wildcard this week but if he's not around, feel free to use it if you're sweet on one. Same goes for next week. Have a good rest of your Ascot chaps. |
|
By:
I've put up Spartan Warrior in the 7:00 at Bangor. He's gone from strength to strength since being fitted with cheekpieces. He's only a 4-year-old, so he benefits from a little bit of weight for age. Brian Hughes rides for Rebecca Menzies instead of Donald McCain, who also saddles a runner here. The extra couple of furlongs should play to his strengths also.
Without sounding like an aftertimer, I had a couple of big-priced winners in the other competitions. I just wish I'd posted one of them on this thread. Have a great day at Ascot WP and back plenty of winners. Fingers crossed. |

Whippin,
I’ve posted this 0n the Team Tipster thread:- Rebel's Romance – 3:05 Ascot 10pts Win Apparently I’ve been given the Shrewdies wild card this week. Hopefully that's correct and I'm on the correct channel. It went from 9/4 to 2/1 as soon as I pressed the "post reply" button – they knew. ![]() |

Golden Echo – 4:03 Worcester
10pt Win I’ve posted the above for round 8 week 2. Unlucky to be brought down LTO when in a challenging position at the last. But what do I know? ![]() |

I've gone for Formal in the 2:25 York. 10 Pts win. She's a filly that I've always liked and looks a little overpriced. Has anyone else had trouble getting on the forum?
