Well done on the each-way. Would have been a lot bigger had the favourite turned up.
Intense Raffles reminded me of Workahead. Form would have put in right in the firing line, but it has run an absolute shocker. Beaten after a 100 yards. Worryingly, the market suggested a lot of people knew that was going to happen. My guess is that they had tried him over something similar, and he was a shambles. |

Morning everyone and thanks for the welcome.
My selection is today 2:40 Navan- DIEGO EL QUESO 5pts each way. He ran behind the favourite on debut but there was a big pace bias in that race the first 4 home were the first 4 throughout the race and Diego in last made up a lot of ground to finish 6th. With normal improvement and the chance that better ground should suit him better I'd expect a big run. I will post the selection in the comp thread now |

I like the look of Lilkian at 8/1 in the 16.12 at Lingfield today.
It has eyeshields on first-time, snapped a losing run in 7f Chelmsford handicap last Thursday, beating the reopposing G'daay by 1¼ lengths. Effectively runs off the same mark here so sure to have a big say if in a similar mood. Its a competitive race but the return to Lingfield and running the 7f as opposed to six is sure to help . Ive covered it by going for an ew call but hoping for a win! we shall see |

4.45 Newbury - Back In Black WIN
Might be a few of a similar ilk in this, but he could/should be better than 86, and could well go off favourite. Flattered to deceive a few times at two, travelling nicely, but ultimately not fully delivering. The key will be whay he produces off the bridle in the final furlong. Let's hope it is plenty. Drawn on a wing, but shouldn't be a problem - unless the jock makes it one - in a field of ten. Good luck to all. |

thanks dd and good luck we cd do with the win

yes great stuff just got in and saw theresult vwd DD that will help for sure

|
By:
Thanks
It did go favourite at one point 15/2-7/2-11/2. Drifted before the race, maybe because he got a little warm. Jocks tried to mess the race up by racing in two groups, but he was different class, perhaps the old Group horse in a handicap? Nice to have a selection actually deliver. |

Plenty of decent racing this week, but a big element of guesswork with many on the Flat making seasonal debuts. Table doesn't look good at the moment so having a go today to try and get us into some sort of contention.
3.25 Longchamp Safia WIN Had we been doing well I would probably have gone each-way as it looks a two-horse race, but in this situation 10 points for a place isn't a lot of good. At the moment Zarigana is one of the biggest hype horses in training. Comparisons with Zarkava are so far premature and unfounded. I thought there were no excuses in the Boussac. Exactly and Simmering have not done that much for that form this season. Safia also has a very good pedigree, and she has won both her starts with some comfort. Ultrafragola is arguably as good as anything Zarigana has beaten. The ground will be quicker today, but she has shown a change of pace, and those sort of horses usually want a quicker surface. Her sire won a soft ground Arc, but was perfectly capable on better ground earlier in his career. Zarigana is also facing a quicker surface. The market suggests this is a walkover with Zarigana 4/9 and Safia 5/1. I would have them a lot closer than that. Zarigana may be very good, but she needs to deliver on the hype. I think it's worth taking the chance that she won't. |
|
By:
Very disappointing made more so by Zarigana being nothing like Zarkava today. Irrespective of not turning up an idiot ride from hold up jock Demuro who made no use of race fitness on a horse who had previously got a mile very well. Zarigana should have been chasing her not the other way round.
