Unlucky Shane. I went with the Derby favourite Bolshoi Ballet to win, as stated in my thread he ticks a lot of boxes and it would be nice to supplement CC's contribution. Good luck everyone. |

Cheers Differentdrum. When they showed the slo-mo, he went from around 1-10 in the photo betting to 4-5, with Nick Luck's reaction probably having a bit of an influence.
Thankfully though he had got there. Unless happysandwich posts again we're going to need a wildcard. |

Yes, it is important we don't waste a selection.
The only two horses I have backed outside of Hurricane Lane are Only Spoofing and Sunday Sovereign. Ground drying should be in favour of Only Spoofing. I haven't really looked at the other meetings. Other teams might not be too happy if you put up the wildcard? Happy for someone else to do it, but if nobody does, mine would be Only Spoofing EW |

Another unbelievable result. Pretty sure Adayar was there to set a strong pace for Hurricane Lane, but he was too slow to get to the front. Hurricane Lane ran well but didn't handle the track. I presume they will have another bash at the Curragh. At least all the ante-post bets produced a small return. Hard to know what to make of a race where the second should have been a million.

How did they know about Adayar? Trading around 60 15 mins before the off on here, gets backed in to under 20. Had the coffin box draw. Hugh Taylor tipped the one that beat it at Lingfield. Apparently very much the stable second string. THEY KNEW! |

Had another look and it seems as if only the front two have stayed the trip. The last thing I would have had Hurricane Lane down as was a non stayer. By Frankel out of a two mile winner on heavy ground from the family of Seal Of Approval. On that he should be getting the Leger trip.
The money for Adayar was strange given he had a bad draw, didn't take the prelims that well, and could easily have just been on pacemaker duty. I did consider him yesterday - 22/1 six places - but left him alone on the basis I was very strong on Hurricane Lane, and if he was set to make the pace he could easily have dropped away to nothing. It almost certainly worked to his advantage that he wasn't quick enough away to get to the lead. |

On the positive front it looks as if china has got a freebie. We haven't been able to say that for a while. Only four scores so far today, and we got two of them, including the one that mattered. Same again next week George.

Couple we might have gone each way on today if we had known George was going to put up a 28/1 winner, but it didn't matter. Maybe I should have mentioned the wooden spoon a bit earlier. Well done Pins. Let's try and back this up. |

Only just watched it back. Very disappointing, jock always appeared to be doing too much, initially from four wide. Strange, considering his own ability, that Joseph appears clueless when it comes to jocks. It's almost as if he puts his pals up.
