Well, we're in the lap of the gods today weather wise, Lanequash and Wembley were two for me but the Newbury rain has other ideas and the Doncaster forecast is rain all afternoon! Could be time to get the pin out.

Agreed Tiger,both flat tracks soft,the two NH tracks are giving it as good ground. Not sure we see that too often,will be hard work on both flat tracks. |

Waiting to see how the ground rides at Newbury and Doncaster after their respective first races.
Lanequash won maiden easily but that was on firm, then on good ground was second to New Mandate in a Listed race, who then won a Group 2, the 3rd (One Ruler) came out and won a Group 3 and runs in a Group 1 today at Doncaster, the 5th came out and was 2md in a Group 3 and the 6th came out and won a Class 2 race. Form is 100% fine and has a stone in hand of anything else - its just the ground that is the unknown, drifting like a barge to 15/8. Wembley, AO'B had 7 in at the 5 day stage and goes with just the one. Often slowly away and took his time to find out what racing was all about, came good finishing 2nd to Thunder Moon in a Group 2 and then 2nd to St Marks Basilica in a Group 1, goes on the soft but how soft? Out to 7/4, slow start and One Ruler the danger. Cheltenham, Plantagenet would have won this race last year but for Gina Andrews losing her irons after a blunder 3 out, could be value at around 6/1 off a mark just 1lb higher. Kelso, Truckers Lodge, is he ready to go? 14lb hike for winning the Welsh National but won so easily maybe he is still improving? This is one that needs more rain! |

Just put one up in the 3.15 Cheltenham. Tobefair - Runs well fresh, loves Cheltenham, game in a finish and is a decent price.
