All good here mate.
Are we talking about the 4 yr old in that race ? The change in jockey looks a big positive, always thought the previous guy would not look out of place on the mongolian plains. Not really my thing AW,the top one has an intriguing profile left handed on artificial surfaces, classy individual on his day,he might run ok if given his head. Anything for Champions day ? Think there might be a few upsets if the ground is accurate, finding them is the difficult bit. Send over some thoughts later, couple tomorrow I like the look of. GL whatever you decide, your in decent form ![]() |

I looked at that race myself, couldn't decide between War Glory and Assimilation.

![]() ![]() I'll be on the drink tomorrow night for sure, the mother in law is coming. |

Good luck if you put yours up WP.
Veleta or Chitra? Another one I couldn't decide between. |

My mate said to me one day “My mother-in-law is an angel.” I said “You’re a lucky fella, mine’s still alive.”

Good to hear Noc.
Yeah, that's the one....the money continues to come for it. I like one on Champions Day but he's huge price at 7/2. As you know, I love Mishriff and I think he will be right there at the finish. We could put both WG and Assimalation up, Tiger. I know the team doesn't like 2 in the same race but if we hit, that would tee it up nicely for Swad, Noc & Son. Talking of Mother in laws...I saw six men kicking and punching the mother-in-law. My neighbour said 'Are you going to help?' I said 'No, Six should be enough. ![]() |

Ha I don't blame you for getting on the beer early doors! Looks like we will be going for a fantastic 5-timer tomorrow.

On the third can of beer, mother in law does me head in so I've departed to the annexe, desk top, beer and At The Races, music and wine, happy as can be. Cheers.

Sounds like you've got the perfect setup, Tiger

I see Noc's pick for the Ascot meeting that was called off is going in the last there tomorrow.....looks to have a big chance and the going will suit him down to the "ground"
|
|
By:
I'm thinking of putting Tempus up in the race though. It wasn'y soft enough for him at Newmarket LTO and the winner had the run of the race that day.

Yeah saving the bullets for tomorrow is wise, go down swinging at least

Nice to see Stradivarius drifting to a backable price, 2.42 and drifting, no Kew Gardens in this years encounter.
Oxted in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes looks tempting at 8/1. Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, should the fav have an off day Nazeef an ew alternative at 12/1, 6/6 at the distance? Qipco Champion Stakes, Magical looks nailed on for at least a place, but maybe Serpentine at 16/1 or Lord North 7/1 ew alternatives? Balmoral Handicap, Njord looks too big at 11/1, placed 8/10 after this sort of break and placed 8/10 on this sort of going. I love Friday nights..and the beer hasn't even kicked in yet ![]() |
|
By:
Wish I knew if Dream Berry was ready to rock and roll at MR, won or placed 5/6 when going right handed and in better races than this.
|
|
By:
1.20 Stradivarius might even hit 6/4!
I just can't see beyond him in this race. It was worth having a crack at the Arc but at the end of the day, he's an out and out stayer and probably the best stayer I've ever seen.1.55 This looks a pretty open sprint but I'm going for One Master. She's top class on this sort of going and she was a decent 6th over this trip at Royal Ascot on faster going. Obviously 7F is her ideal trip but this going can help her go very close. 2.30 Very hard to be confident in this one. I've split my stakes between Even So & Thundering Nights at very acceptable prices. 3.05 I can't see beyond Palace Pier in this one. But maybe Nazeef & Century Dream can fill the places at decent prices and if the fav has an off day, one of them can take advantage. 3.40 I respect Magical. She always turns up and runs her usual solid, top class race. And on this sort of going Addeybb is a very high class animal. But I love Mishriff(NAP) He's just a serious racehorse with a great way of going and a super attitude. He's done me right this season and I'm not about to desert him now, especially as the ceiling of his ability has yet to be reached. 4.15 The first 3 in the betting make most appeal to me in this one. Raaeq is lightly raced and is going the right way and looks to have more to offer. King Ottokar will relish this going and so will Tempus(NB) His win here 2 starts back makes for good reading and it never looked in doubt at any stage that day. |

More Red Tiger
![]() What a tricky looking card at Ascot, just the one winner to level stakes might be acceptable. Couple bets in QE 2,Lord Glitters 50,Molatham 150 to small stakes. Cape Byron appeals in the sprint,Glen Shiel also looks over-priced. Aiden is bound to have his lot primed for the day,Broome in the 1st is interesting. Catch up in the morning with the five winners we need ![]() |
|
By:
Aye, noc, I had a good look at Glen Shiel as well, also One Master, plumped for Oxted but he has yet t perform on soft, hence the price, its a wide open race. One thing is for sure and that it that I'm really looking forward to tomorrows racing, haven't found a definite bet yet but will still enjoy it.

By:
Ha ha that could happen Tiger...especially if they've been on the Special Brew or Tennets extra!
It's cracking day's racing tomorrow so I hope you lads enjoy it and come away with a nice profit. ![]() |
|
By:
Its always nice to make a profit, haven't found any definite bets as yet, but will enjoy it whatever happens. The spoilsports are out in number, my 18 for Dream Berry has been pushed back by the small merchants asking for 14.5 and 15.5 for small amounts, ffs, why didnt they just go 18.5 and wait and see. Such is life.

Anyone up for the Caulfield Cup in the morning? 7.15 am start but I may just make it...lol..
|
|
By:
Defo not up for the CC lol....dont like the look of stall 21.
I think ive got something very solid I have staked up on tomorrow at Catterick. Just matched now as we speak...Isle of Lismore in the 2pm @ 2/1. Looks to definitely be the front runner, and it may not want the ground as soft/heavy as it will be but if its mark of 72 is correct, which looks accurate to me, I think it will take all the beating if it can grab the stands rail 1st. It is giving weight away for previously winning a race but that is mainly negotiated by Ray Dawsons 5lb claim. Anyone any idea what sort of price range we are looking for tomorrow...obvs any winner is nice, will just make sure isnt any NR to make it a very short price. |
|
By:
Just taken a look at the leaderboard, its a fairly negative approach but we are a mile behind the front 3.
If we were to catch them it would take a large priced winner tomorrow, each to their own but if we can get 4th thats probably a result with how tight the bottom is! |
|
By:
Going for a biggie myself
Blue Mist in the 4:15 Ascot at 20/1 (currently), EW, its defiantly still well handicapped to go in here and the ground isn't so bad as its always done well on soft before |
|
By:
Good luck with your selections team
|
|
By:
Morning Stu ..... Anything you like later?
Good luck Sont, tough race that one, decent price is exactly what we need. Get your point Swad, the scoring is weighted to come in the top 3,no difference in reality between 4th or 7th. Just my opinion of course, three decent looking sprints at catterick look right up your street,I do like one in the 4-50 depending on how the market goes. Not sure which races are under consideration from everyone, any clues would be appreciated. Cracking days racing, best of luck everyone ![]() |
|
By:
Glad I looked at the selections already put up, was going for one in the 4.15 but SS already has one in that so I'll think again.
|
|
By:
I do have 2 today but 1 is a huge price, ill select it EW and hopefully it will at least place.
The point you make about diff between 4th and 7th is good. I shall back ONASSIS in the 1:55 Ascot EW, its got a stone and a half to find on the favourite but if the ground is softer than expected it should definitely be coming home well if its not outpaced. Hayley not my fav but we will have to live with it! Around 50/1 currently. |
