Wicked
competition, not only do you have to pick a winner a week but you have to find it amongst the losers ![]() Not to worry madhatter, our time will come ![]() |
|
By:
I'm going for a chancy outsider tomorrow, but I like the trainer. Forza Milan EW in the 4.30 at Listowel
|
|
By:
non-runner.
I fancy one of HDH's in the race but don't know which one is the more likely, wonder if he does? ![]() Market suggests Spyglass Hill at the moment although Plan Of Attack has been placed in two big hcaps, will probably abstain ![]() |
|

The Friday and Saturday cards don't look too promising to me, so although there are a couple of possibles tomorrow, I think I am going to go for Elle Est Grande in the 5.20 at Perth. In 3 runs over fences appears to have demonstrated that she is a very poor jumper, but the fact that she is continuing over fences suggests that we may expect a better performance today. On a mark of 88 should be in the mix provide her jumping is OK. Going EW

Well done with place points Aquarius!

Going with a trainer in form tomorrow with 10 points on Lilkian. Hope the trainer's other entry doesn't win.

Trivia.
Which of us have had each of their selections placed so far? ![]() |
|
By:
My pick today is Aughnacurra King in the 1.35 at MR.
His only run over fences was at Fontwell where they crawled round and most were in with a chance 2 out. Hopefully more pace and a stiffer test will help. I am happy to play it EW if that is preferred - any views team/skip? |
|
By:
My personal view would be to play it EW, as I think the front 2 in the market are reasonably strong. I think the secret of success is to get as many people scoring as possible, 8 players each scoring an average of 2/1 winners would in one week score 240 points which would be almost certainly be a leading team score especially if it were to be followed by a similar score the following week. You get nothing for unlucky 2nds if you have gone for a win. But at the end of the day it is your decision as to your confidence in your selection.

Cheers Aq will go EW

Quick Look - 3.10 Hayd - EW
Hopefully soft enough, has been running as if a win is not far away although needs a decent start, happy to see Tudhope booked. Good luck team. |
|
By:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

By:
Right. I'll put up today's nap as this week's selection:
El Salvaje - 6.00 Chelmsford Ran well in what I thought was a better race last time out and has been well backed for today (halved in price since last night). Only 2/1 at best unfortunately but hopefully a winner for a change! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Wow 1.01 turned over, amazing
, well done mad. |
|
By:
Bloody Hell! What a great ride from Luke Morris to get him up....most jockeys would have settled for saving it for another day about 3 furlongs out! Traded at 350 and 2nd traded 10K at 1.01
|

By:
Hi ud,
I see I've got next to no chance of topping the rolling table for another year now since Wonder Boy's magnificent 40/1 last Saturday ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Well done Mad but as you say what a ride from the Sniper.
|
|
By:
What's happened, we have got a winner! Well done madhatter. Can we not have a change to the rules with the highest price in running taken instead of the SP. That would seem very fair to me!
|
|
By:
..... "MaD" .....
![]() ![]() |
|
By:
mad, regarding 12 month, so close but you just have to doff your cap to winners like that, keep going strong, you'll get there.
![]() |
|
By:
Scots Sonnet - 8.0 Newc.
![]() |
|
By:
We even stop them going in the stalls
![]() |
|
By:
Now nearly all the runners have been pulled out I am going to select Inch Lala in the 5.10 at Fontwell.
Hoping she can run to her form of a couple of seasons ago, like many of Evan Williams do!! |
|
By:
I had 2 lined up for Ascot time for a re think
Ben Lilly 4.00 Redcar has won last 3 but last race by short head this race is tougher The Storyteller 4.55 Gowran Park ran in this last year but Gordon Elliott's top charge has top form especially his 2nd at the Cheltenham Festival in the Pertemps Final over hurdles |
|

Morning
'sGone 10pts WiN: Champers Elysees - 2.45 Newm. Beat the 2nd fav Lto (did a DANCING BRAVE) Trip & ground. ![]() Has won at Galway,so I think Newmarket stiff finish will suit. G/L Today. ![]() "if you~dig" ![]() |

Ebaiyra - 2.15 Long - Win
Might have gone ew but place points don't really do much for us a 100 or so behind the pace. Connections had the winner of the first. Good luck today. |
|
By:
My original selection for today turned into a non-runner and looking at our position in the table even if the remaining selections were to win, I think I have to go for a big priced selection so I have gone for an unraced 3y.o. Tufnut in the 6.30 at Wolverhampton. No confidence at all in this but one never knows.
|
|
By:
Ok good luck
|
|
By:
well done lockup.
|
|
By:
I've picked the wrong one again
|
|
By:
Like most of us! Things just don't seem to be rolling for us at the moment. Our 2 EW selections at double figure odds today both finished 4th. Not to worry, I am sure that our luck? will change before the end of the competition. I think some of us are sometimes trying for too big priced selections but we need to keep our heads up, things will turn soon.

Gone for:
The Last Legend - 4.00 Sedgefield, 10pts win. Nothing very exciting but looks a worthy favourite at about 7/4 - 2/1 Good luck this week boys...we need some points desperately!!! |
|
By:
Good luck with that one madhatter. A 3 mile+ grade 5 handicap chase at Sedgefield would not be my idea of a betting proposition; it would be a race to avoid for me I must admit, but good luck anyway.
