A good selection George and a great call with the draw too.

By:
made the frame but big R4 with the fav being WD
|
|
By:
Sorry mackies, I didn't actually make it a selection, decided to wait until tomorrow instead
|
|
By:
No I realise that George, just commenting that it was a good selection nonetheless and the negative aspect of the draw played out in the way the race was run.
|
|
By:
Apologies mackies. Yes, agree, he was caught out on the wing with no cover he's done well to hang on in there for place. His sire is a strong influence for stamina, and although I can see why they dropped him back in trip, I just thought last time he did too much up front, so I think he will be seen to best effect back over further.

By:
Unlucky china, not enough pace pressure up front and not a clear run at a crucial stage.
|
|
By:
Well done tonight.
Is it three left? Good luck tomorrow. Fingers crossed we can hold on and at least make up a couple of points. |

Three pins to have a stab in the dark. Andrew. George & custard

Need to keep an eye on the non runners. I know they will probably wreck plenty of my Ascot bets.
|
|
By:
Well done team. Ascot will be heavy going tomorrow and may even be abandoned. Will look at other meetings for a plan B.

Plan B it is.
1.05 Newmarket. Bolshoi Ballet. 10pt win. Good luck Andrew and George. |

Good morning fellow Pins
What happened yesterday, do you all have an early wedding to go to, reading back it looks like everyone posted ![]() Seriously, well done on the winner Shane and the place points Mackies (hope i didn't forget anyone) this keeps us well in contention. Unlucky others. I'm in a drizzly wet Waterloo at the moment and haven't had much chance to look at the cards. I thought i would stick with a straight win, it's worked already, but nothing really jumped off the page. I've chosen an aptly named runner for this weekend (where i should be). Champers Elysees - 2.45 Newmarket. 10 pts win Good luck Custard Cream and George. |

Good luck Andrew & Custard
I was hoping for a nice 5/1 EW shot in an 8-runner maiden, 33-1 bar the rest, but in the absence of such a scenario, I've plenty on the shortlist, the shortest-priced one being Mac Ailey in the 1.45 Redcar, but after some deliberation I've plumped for South Forest EW (currently top priced 14-1) in the 3.35 Tipperary. She shaped OK two starts back in a big field Curragh handicap and last time at this track didn't get much luck in the run. This is her just her 6th run, so there should be some improvement to come, hopefully today so long as the drop in trip doesn't inconvenience. |

Good luck George and Andrew

Bad luck custard. On that type of horse I often think Moore spends half the race deciding how hard to try. That looked a case of not today.
Good luck Andrew and George. |

Good morning Guys
Held on gamely ! Custard Cream wash your mouth out, we're toying with the opposition ![]() Seriously, well done George for yesterdays points and the team as a whole during the week. We're back in the running and all to play for. I was initially a little disappointed with my win selection yesterday, 4th @ 11/4 (i didn't see the race) but reading the RP comments she may have been a little unlucky going easily but repeatedly short of room from over 2f out, switched right and headway over 1f out, kept on final 110yds, held towards finish. C'est la vie, spilt milk and all that. Good luck next week. ![]() |

Great round Pins esp from the Captain

Andrew, Champers got an overly confident ride but when she got some daylight didn't pick up as you might have expected.
Just thinking our form figures look a bit like a Mark Johnston handicapper. I think we are a bit better than that. Good luck everyone this week. I haven't given up hope that one of these weeks I might actually make a contribution myself. Few bets at Longchamp today but nothing I would be confident enough about to put up on here. |
