I've never understood the problem people have with her on this forum. "Can't win" seems to come up a lot. Well she can win, nice and talented and suits the XF demographic.

Danyl was top of course, but not consistently. Think he was virtually bottom week 2 or 3?
The Slackdonalds maybe? Although I've never seen figures from then. And didn't they make the final 3? |
By:
Spot on Henry. I think we'll see a lot of embarrassed back tracking and arse covering by the finale
By:
Yup, weeks 2 and 3 were desperate for Danyl.
By:
Macs were 4th
By:
Danyl suffered from a personality reveal about half way through. I think there's a possibility of that happening to Matt
![]() |
By:
Actually he also started to mess up, missing the odd note and forgetting words. That's unlikely to happen to Matt or Mary.
By:
Cheers sq. That's maybe the answer then
By:
Diana?
Or was she 3rd a couple of times in the early week. |
By:
Di always struggled for votes iirc. Think 3rd might have been her highest placing before the sympathy vote?
By:
DV - 4th wk 1, polled well thereafter
By:
Di was nowhere wk 1, then second weeks 2 and 3

Diana went: 4th, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, (ill), 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th
By:
It's amazing that she was 4th the 1st week.
It must be that there are plenty of older viewers voting who shop at Tescos and listen to Shirley Bassey :) |
By:
only 4th * that should be.

Wagner has lost control of the Betfair headline news today [;)]

By:
What did she do week one though?
I thought it was week 2 Man in Mirror when she came into her own? |

Danyl's voting pattern is probably the most bizarre of this series imo
By:
With or Without You George.
By:
It really shows how voting tails off mid series though - he topped weeks 4 and 5

Yeah JHF. Sh1te

If only Diana could have actually sang in tune. She'd have got even more votes. Shame.

Morning guys.
There's been an overwhelming push behind MaBy over this side from Tesco. So much so, that they had to come out with a statement defending their support for their employee. I suppose a few irate D1 (Niall) or Bellamy (Rebecca) Irish fans. She's everywhere in all their shops! Also a nice touch by Laddies here is that they're paying out on all losing Mary win bets. Presently at 16/1. 1/5 e/w for top 3 not bad. It will be interesting to guage Irish voting support for her, or if it can sway a spot or two up the ladder. If so, the 1/5 @ 16s looks attractive. Haven't bitten, mind. I think Louis did a kamikaze job on her last week letting her do her audition song again so soon - and sadly not nearly as impressive as her first off attempt. At the present it's difficult to look beyond the current top 3 in the market imho FWIW my prediction: 1 Rebecca. 2 D1. 3 Matt ![]() GL all with your bets. Run good! |

^^
Also a nice touch by Laddies here is that they're paying out on all losing Mary win bets. * Paying out stake only |
By:
cheers for that INX. I don't agree with your top 3 though.
Lou - just because you didn't like Diana's vocal style doesn't mean she didn't sing in tune. She was pretty much spot on every week until she became ill....unlike the likes of you're beloved Danyl and Matt this year. Also Rebecca has been way off at times as have 1D. Infact about the only ones who have hit all the right notes are Mary and John. |
By:
Five
I think you just won't give up on the fact you liked her or backed her so much. Go back and watch her performances she sang flat every single week in parts. Honestly she did. She absolutely murdered about three weeks. She really wasn't much good at all. Yes Mary hasn't done anything wrong, nor did John though he wavered a bit last week and Matt has been almost note perfect so far. Joe last year was note perfect every week. |
By:
No worries fig.
You must have a fair interest in maBe!?! [;)] Have survation anything as yet this year? |
By:
Lou - just because you didn't like Diana's vocal style doesn't mean she didn't sing in tune.
I wonder if that goes for you and Rebecca FLL. I wouldn't say she's been way off or off key at all. She sometimes changes the emphasis on notes. Don't the judges call that "making it your own"? |
By:
I think Rebecca's far better than Diana. She does sing well every week or has done so far.
By:
figgy, has anyone who has been in the top 2 in both week 1 and 2 gone on to finish higher than third?
By:
Survation are all but useless in this show, INX, imo..at least until the final couple of weeks anyway.
Lou I'm sure we've discussed this before and when you watch the videos you admit she's in tune for the most part. Go and listen again :p I love Rebecca's voice Henry, but she has been very flat, to my ears, especially in the 1st 2 performances. |

So no woman then? ;)
By:
FIGGY WHAT DID YOU THINK OF CHER LAST WEEK ?
By:
Definitely no large Irish Tesco working woman - no
By:
why are people talking about being note perfect? what difference does that make ffs?
scott wootton a glaring omission from this thread. |
