I prefer you as carlos
The original carlos. You know, the waste of time, impossible to read, one syllable, nonsensical, utterly stupid carlos, who showed up on this forum out of nowhere to post gibberish and throw insults at you. The carlos that you were the only who understood and "spoke his language". The carlos that even our resident clown, who is fluent in clownland language, expressed bewilderment on what that mug was talking about.

The same one who at first thought what I had to say on here made sense, although he hadn't stepped foot on this forum before, but then just a matter of a few short days he was hurling insults my way, despite myself not acknowledging any of his posts. You know, the one that gave you the chance to shout "even carlos clued in"

You know, the carlos who underwent a magical transformation in a matter of a handful of posts, going from someone who posted unreadable, predominantly monosyllabic incomprehensible rubbish, to someone who all of a sudden put sentences together and asked semi-intelligent questions. The carlos who stopped talking in tongues and started posting in english, and amazingly all of a sudden had an interest in money printing, inflation and interest rates of all things. Who knew.

The same on who you were at arms with trading posts full of expletives and insults when he first showed he face on here, but virtually a few short hours later you were in a lovers embrace, happily "agreeing" and bothering to write short novellas answering his questions with nary a bad word to be found

The really funny thing is that when carlos first came on and he thought you were the daddy he accused everybody else on the forum of being me because they were giving it you. Here's where you were wrong:
1. You lost your patience. I was suspicious of carlos since day one. The tiiming of his appearnce, where he knew exactly where to find you although you're not a regular here, the gibberish to hide behind were all red flags. Therefore, I ignored his drivel although acknowledging his posts insulting you would have been beneficial to me. I totally ignored him. You got frustrated and changed the "bad cop, good cop" routine a lot sooner than you should have. 2. The passive and active use, the stylistic use of the word "question" and what it was trying to accomplish is identical in your posts and his. Well, your posts basically. You can hide behind the gibberish, but you can't hide how you think. 3. The personality revealed in your comical "why printing doesn't lead to inflation" fable is identical, I don't mean very close, I mean identical to most of carlos's posts. The guy asking the question had an identical personality to the guy asking it. Can I bet on that probability? Your pathetic attempt to "bring in reinforcements" and deceive would probably work on most clueless mugs as evidenced by other posts on here. You probably forgot in your haste to "score points" that I started in the mind manipulation business and then economics, not the other way around. My suggestion is that you do what you did when I first came here. You went outwith to the politics forum. So do the same thing again and go to the boxing forum. It also doesn't have a lot of traffic so you will probably only need to go back a few pages to see me and carlos going at it like two ferrets in a sack. Then come back and let me know what you think then. |

what is funny is that whilst melly goes around accusing the entire forum of being against him, he actually has his own sockpuppet called the australian (or some sh1t like that), that he uses as someone to agree with, and give some credibility to his posts (at least he did until that account got banned). Irregardles of whether posters are or are not using different chatnames in their efforts to expose the rantings and ravings of Menelaus as being neither novel nor original, I think the real point is that they are succeeding slowly but surely.
His posted views are simply regurgitations of time worn criticisms of the fiat money system. There is a loud and vociferous camp of detractors of this system, and they simply continue to update their opinions to reflect current times. At the moment they're just throwing the new type of credit derivatives into the mix, and once again are concluding that this makes everything different to all times past. You either are in their camp or you are not. If you are, then you will always be investing as if there is not going to be any tomorrow. If you are not, then you will be investing for the next boom whenever there is a crash, and for the next crash whenever there is a boom. I'm in the camp opposing Menelaus and his prophets of doom, simply because it's the only positive way I can personally see how to live my life and enjoy the moment. I may come unstuck, who knows, but I don't go to bed every night worrying about it all, as it would seem Menelaus does. I take sensible protective precautions like everybody tries to, but that's all. Btw does anybody else think, like me, that Menelaus is actually showing serious, worrying signs on here of becoming totally mentally unhinged. He's sounding more crazed by the minute. |

We have BOTTY who is now posting under the moniker of FROGGY and who was a leading man in the Specials forum with particular expertise in the X-Factor still striving to be heard on here while saying nothing, we have the new chap(s) from the Boxing forum who all of a sudden are experts in economics and both "think" the same way, we have benny the clown who's still the pinnacle of stupidity in any forum, we have the polyahole from NZ who only asks questions but is always afraid to give an answer, and last but certainly not least, we have the chap who decided to denigrate himself by spending the rest of his times on his knees. Quite a cast of characters (and I mean that in every sense of the word)...........and as clueless as ever. |

You know the really serious implications of Menelaus' obvious seriously unbalanced approach to apparently everything that doesn't quite fit into his little cubbyhole of intellectualism, is that he apparently holds down quite a senior executive position in a " leading" player in the City.
Now that is a bit of a worry to me. What sort of potential disasters could that be leading some investors into ? A very dangerous puppy he is. |
