Question to eo???
Y does this guy sound so much like me. Shocking. Does any1 who argues with u end up going crazy. It must be some mental technique ur using. Not sure wat books uv read but I'm sure eo has been Reading some books which focus on mentality. As obviously uv sent a few people mental. 1 technique iv noticed is u use alot is u argue ur point well, using persuasive language in a well wriiten way without insulting the opponet, then wen he gets into it and debates going neither here or there u put a few swear words in which makes the other guy lose the plot. Am I right. Just taking notes for the future |

An honest answer carlos?
The short answer is I like debating, I have a talent for it and I don't like losing. It doesn't mean I'm right though. The longer answer is that I come from the bottom but genuinely did academically well when I decided I wanted to take my shot at the title. I didn't bullshiit you when I said I was a non practising barrister but I come from humble origins. So I have a foot in both camps. I'm like Hagler: I can box to beat the banger and I can bang to beat the boxer. I'm also pretty honest and gracious enough to concede a point in a debate where I think it is fair. The reason why I will always beat someone like Melly in a debate is my adaptability. He has dug his trench and he will live or die there. Consequently, he will keep eating it if he has told you it is caviar even if he later finds the tin that it came out of and it says dog food. |

One lacuna in your theory. My natural home is the politics forum. Carlos has posted a couple of times on there but hardly ever. Carlos' forum is boxing and I occasionally post there. |

On a warm summer's eve
On a train bound for nowhere I met up with the gambler We were both too tired to sleep So we took turns a-starin' Out the window at the darkness The boredom overtook us, and he began to speak He said, "Son, I've made my life Out of readin' people's faces Knowin' what the cards were By the way they held their eyes So if you don't mind my sayin' I can see you're out of aces For a taste of your whiskey I'll give you some advice" So I handed him my bottle And he drank down my last swallow Then he bummed a cigarette And asked me for a light And the night got deathly quiet And his faced lost all expression He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy You gotta learn to play it right You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away Know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done Now every gambler knows the secret to survivin' Is knowin' what to throw away And knowin' what to keep 'Cause every hand's a winner And every hand's a loser And the best that you can hope for Is to die in your sleep" So when he finished speakin' He turned back for the window Crushed out his cigarette And faded off to sleep then somewhere in the darkness The gambler he broke even, but in his final words I found an ace that I could keep You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done You've got to know when to hold 'em (When to hold 'em) Know when to fold 'em (When to fold 'em) Know when to walk away know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done |
