if Musetti plays a clinic he can do it for sure. But I have a feeling Monf takes him out with the help of the crowd and Monf has nothing on Novak.

that's why I have Novak going out in the quarters to Ruud, because that's where it feels his current level is at, I can't see anyone stopping Alcaraz this year, remember my prediction, this guy will win 30+ slams

re Ruud, meant to say when it's not a final.

The financial incentive shouldn't exist should it mesmerised. It's obvious when a player isn't giving best effort so in that situation if a player pitches up at a slam and tanks then they should be made to forfeit their money - then half the money for being honest and not playing would seem attractive. Botic yesterday just was not even trying and that can't be right. It's not about gamblers it's about bringing the game into disrepute. Most people only watch tennis when the slams are on and they get served up that kind of a match.

Novak's saving himself for the Paris Olympics, that's the only tournament he cares about this year, the only big one he hasn't won

Jelena in the crowd and looking happy. Likely not marriage trouble then.

Depends how you look at it, a lot of people turn up for work when they don't want to, tennis players do the same thing because they have short careers and they are not earning that sort of money when it's over, and one injury could end thier career in heartbeat, plenty of examples.

It is frustrating but you're never going to stop players doing this, the only difference here is Botic has basically admitted he wasn't at the races.

The only thing Novak will accomplish at the Olympics is to build on his record of most losses ever at the Olympics for a tennis player.

It's annoying when they have rules against this but don't enforce them.

Vast vast majority of players will NEVER say anything, ask any one here who watches tennis all year round, tanks are parked on the lawns of every tennis tournament on the calendar, so to speak.

There was even that time Wozniacki's dad told her to withdraw during a match in Polish and the whole forum got on

The Monfils match will give a good insight following up an excellent first round.

Btw the express yesterday confirmed what I'd been saying on here, that rafa will swerve Wimbledon to play doubles with carlos in the Olympics

That was from his own press conference yesterday. You have been saying no grass for Rafa before? If so, good call.

I doubt he finishes the season, the Paris Olympics will probably be his last tournament

He needs to hold hands with Federer at the Laver Cup.

Watching them playing doubles and bear hugging after key points and being so emotional was one of the weirdest sights I've seen in tennis, they were treating it like a World Cup final, they weren't even playing a proper team, 'rest of the world'

Good thing Boulter dyes (or bleaches) her hair or else these two would be even harder to distinguish.

always a visual turn off when both players are forced to wear the same outfit becuase the sponsors want to market their new dress

Brutal draw for her. She has a great season and earns herself a seeding only to run into a top player when not injured in R1. Of course she's still in this.

fancy Boulter to do well at Wimbledon this year, she's a really good grass court player and will be seeded, can see her reaching the last 8, maybe even last 3 depending on the draw, and I rarely back the brits anywhere
