@RMarsonet dont worry 2 much about Anisimova, we'll see plenty of pics of her partying in Miami this week lol JM's burner account spotted. This was in regards to Amanda withdrawing with an unspecified muscle injury. |

What matches are we excited about? Halep Badosa ofc.
Queenwen versus (probably) Siniakova and her magical first aid box. ![]() Brenda v Boulter maybe in Round 2. |

Amanda is just trolling at this point. Accepted the wild card, then posted a photo of herself rocking a new set of trainers on a practice court in Miami, wc gets palmed off to Baptiste two days later.

I would think a double withdrawal has happened before, but it has to be quite rare.

Seems a bit fishy to not say what the injury is. But let's assume it's a legit injury, would it just be to not expose any weakness to future opponents?

·1m Cazaux basically fainted on the court while preparing for a return at 2-1 30-all in the deciding set against Mayot (another chapter in their rivalry that includes an Australian Open junior final). Has to retire, they're taking him off the court in a wheelchair right now. |

this would not happen in WTA. And even Alison Hughes would be faster down the chair than this. |

Upstart Ya Yi Yang retired with her opponent serving at 5*-2 40-0.
![]() She already had a big cry and complaint to the supervisor at the 5-2 changeover. Presumably because she wasn't allowed another medical timeout for her feet (had received one at 1-2 down already). |

Disappointing loss for German teen sensation Ella Seidel. Went 0/8 on break points.
Good win for Australian forum favourite Talia Gibson. Saved 8/9 break points. |
|
By:
That kind of sounds like maybe they played each other. They didn't. Seidel went down on cypric clay to Boisson at W35 level, Gibson won indoors against Tikhonova, who is quite good on hard courts even at higher ITF level.
