Muguruza's fold was pretty disappointing.

And most the other top seeds the less said the better.

Serena won't dominate for much longer

Im sure you said this years ago.

but I'm talking about what matters, winning the slams, that's not really competitive.

Serena won 1 last year? That's not dominating the slams is it.

Well last few years as a whole, there is nobody that has dominated her

Yer but she's clearly waning now. It's just she was that much better than everybody in the first place.

Serena wasn't even tested this AO, but she was there to be tested a number of times, her opponents just didn't bring it to the court. It's hard to say if any of her opponents really thought they could win. She basically front run every match. Konta went up a break in the 2nd, but it was more Serena mugging than Konta doing anything special.

Great tournament and Roger immense today. The real story was Dimitrov, very consistent and seems to have added the focus and tenacity now to be a multiple slam winner, and soon.

Agreed about Grigor. Hope he can keep it up. Even in the defeat against Rafa, he showed qualities I hadn't seen from him before.

What is clear about her waning, she's only winning in 3rd gear because none of the players in her way can even get past that, that doesn't mean she's on the way down it means she doesn't even need to step up, which players are going to start dominating her, I can only see Muguruza in the long term and that's if they play a few times on clay.

Pliskova destroyed her impressively at USO.

PliskovaLaugh

desstroyed her in a second set tie break?

You can't think long term Pliskova is the answer to stopping her domination

If Pliskova is the answer I don't know what the question is

Pat Cash was seething when Federer took the mto about mto's in general

said a lot of the older guys dislike the thought of them and they are mainly used for cheating or to help with tiredness rather than injury

that's been asked for about 5 years, I think her next goal will be to win 25, surpass Margeret Court, not that that record is meaningful in real terms, but it's probably her goal.

No idea how her body actually feels but she is moving well enough so who knows.

From tennisforum

Mertens signalled to the chair that she wanted a MTO, Martincova panicked, thought French Open qualifying was up next and threw her racquet at the umpire to be defaulted before Mertens could retire. Then Mertens said works every time, which started a brawl between the respective teams. True story.

official reason is given as verbal abuse of an official. Maybe she threatened to shove a ****g ball down a linejudge's throat.

always wanted to see someone knock over that umpire stairs with an umpire on it

probably wanted to be DQ'd, have you seen how many retirements she's had, probably becoming suspicious so went for a different option.
