Williams Sr. will win, and I'm not talking about Venus.

We'll probably get a low intensity affair.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hank_Williams ?
He was also known as Luke the drifter, so he should know a bit about markets, just like the person I think you were really hinting at.

Also, if there's ever a scenario where Lukas Lacko has a match and his price drifts before the match, please remind me to start a thread with the title "Luke the drifter".

Serena is the better player and has been for some time. She should win, can Venus trouble her? Yes if she is on song but I would expect a straight sets victory for Serena but cannot back her at her current price.

Never 1.37 for 2-0 is it. 1.44 would be reasonable.
By:
jin_kazz
When: 06 Apr 13 17:52
should be at least 1.46

Have a look at the head to heads, all close matches as they obviously know each others games very well.

serena is best player in the world, venus just in the middle of the pack nowadays, how she could possibly compete here on level terms, its not 2008, the only problem is this isnt great tournament and serena may as well let her older sister have some rare those days glory, and on that basics i will be laying serena  little bit to have some fun of conspiracy theories Happy  for 2-0 i would price it 1.49 for value. 1.48 u break dead evens on longer run

She lost to Razzano in the French Open on clay last year.

I have a gut feeling that it'll be contentious and Serena will jump up to AT LEAST 1.3 again like yesterday in the first set.

venus has shown she compete with top 10 mugs

just with her illness you never know what's going to happen

Of course Serena is a way better player. If todays opponent was named Anne Smith, Serena would be a bank job. But can you really rely on her, especially to win in straight sets. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3 set mugfest.

Very good point Yomomma. Venus knows Serena's game better than anyone. She knows her patterns of play, has watched a lot of her matches from the sidelines and has beaten her head to head more than anyone.

Flip-side, Serena knows V's game, the haven't played since 09 and Venus cannot serve at 100% currently due to joint inflammation (the reason she retired in Miami).

It's not really to do with knowing each other well. Most their matches (most I know some weren't), both players were well below their best. It's like today do you really think Serena is going to go out there to try and beat Venus 6-0, 6-0.

This is the perfect match for the Family circle competition. Family having a fun match on center court here. Serena probably to take it very easy and look like not caring about losing for a while to Venus - like she did vs Cibulkova at Miami.
