He'll be a few points ahead of Nadal I think.
Murray has three titles between now and the end of the year to defend. Unless he defends all of those, enters all the 250 mug tourneys in the off weeks and wins them, and then wins the tour finals with Novak and Fed bombing out of all their tourneys then it won't happen. Djokovic barely has any points to defend between now and the end of the year either. |

I think Murray can mathematically get to year end #1.
Murray usually does well in Asia, and given the extra support he will now have at the WTFs, he can't be ruled out of winning that. A year of US Open, Olympic Gold, WTFs and a Masters or 2 will put him damn close to #1 |
