trading djoko is a pain in the arse, the better player will win on the day, the djoko's serve hasn't been as consistent as it should be but djoko is djoko and on that note will win, lets hope murray takes the first set, trying to win, in long matches murray is a dead man,

i agree the brit money will go on murray pre-off and drive his price in to 3.15-3.2. he is 3.3-3.4 as I write this.

murray in 5 coming back from 2 sets down if we're keeping to the script exactly a la lendl against mcenroe in 1984

I don't get the price, imo Djoker should be in the 1.60 range.  Murray played him extremely close in Australia, just beat him at the Olympics, 1-1 in smaller hard court events this year.

I really don't understand the price at all.

Murray played him extremely close in Australia and these courts are quicker which ever so slightly suit Murray more as he hits flatter on the backhand and has a more flatter serve. Djokovic is still favourite, but I agree its slightly wrong.

Sorry to all Murray fans but he had, so far, a preety low US Open. Lopez, Cilic, Berdych were close matches. Cilic could had esealy won. And Berdych didn't got lucky with weather conditions because if there wasn't so much wind i think he would have won. Nole has to pick up the pace but when he does that he his on fire. Better fit than Murray and with a hell lot more metal strength. I will make my bet live but i really think that the joker will go to 1.60 and then all the way baby.

some serious guessing on this thread

you've got only two choices for set 1 winner but to claim that 'djoko wins it surely' is laughable and marks you down as a complete mug

what, you reckon murray can't win the first set? despite winning 2 of the last 3 matches and taking djoko to 5 in oz right at the start of his unbeaten run of 46 matches and murray being 2.6 to win it? i mean 2.6 shots never come in do they?

experience? LaughLaugh

mug guessing even if djoko does win the first set

murray is a slow starter and in MY experience he lost nearly all the first sets

you are so stupid you can't even understand what I'm saying

your experience means nothing... the mathematical chances are the same whatever you think and it says about 40% of the time murray will win the first set

so saying 'djoko surely wins' is a guess and even if it turns out to be correct it still does not change the fact that you cannot say for certain (not more than 60% certainty) who will win. This is basic sports punting

it's not a matter of opinion, experience or anything else... it's a matter of probability

people talking about murray's poor performances, they were on louis armstrong which he doesn't like because it's faster than ashe

and he still won the final 11 games against cilic

on ashe, he has been playing like a man possessed
By:

murray had a tougher draw that's why he lost a few sets

listen boys murray could have won that semi final at the Aussie open, if novak never got lucky on the big points with a few net cords

Of course its a guess, you moron, everything on here is a guess, sometimes supported by stats, sometimes not. This is a forum, google it, if you need to learn what that is. I didnt say I wanted to give big advice or ask anyone to follow my guess, did i? So if i want to give advice I will let you know, ok? Now let's see who is right.

A lot referring to the OZ Open game - big difference, it wasn't for the GS title - Djoko has a tonne of mental strength here, not sure for Murray in that respect.

Andy defeated Novak at the Olympic games. Why can't he win here?

When: 10 Sep 12 14:18
For me Andy Murray has improved mentally this season. Its been a gradual process, he is far less negative on court when things don't go his way. For example go back 2 years or even 1 and I'm not sure he'd have turned things round against Cilic (albeit Cilic did play a part in the turnaround).

I also think the win at the Olympics is massive for him. Ok it's not a Grand Slam but for the first time he beat one of the big three over a 5 set match. I don't think the fact he has yet to win a GS final is as much of an issue anymore, and they all have to start somewhere.

More of a problem may be the fact Novak is playing better now than at any point since the Australian Open this year. However I just have a feeling that this is Murray's, and I think it could well prove to be the match of the tournament

If you're going to hold that against Murray, then why haven't you mentioned Djokovic struggling in the wind v ferrer

FWIW i think Djokovic will eventually win, but at the prices on offer Djokovic is a lay. He will surely trade higher in running.

Will also be laying 3 sets. can't see either winning in straight sets.

I have put full bank on murray at 3.20 in the hope he wil fall to at least 3.0 at some point. I dont expect him to win but he will want this so badly I dont think novak will run away with it. What do yous think
