jibjib - You are incorrect in what you are saying because I for one only got involved very late in the match. I looked at the Betfair score and the SB and saw Isner had won the 1st set and was 5-0 up and serving but seeing as the results aren't up to the minute I thought (incorrectly) that 1.09 was an excellent price to take but not a steal! I have recently lost on Safina's two comebacks from the dead so there is never free money.
I lost a significant amount of money (for me) and will not bet with Betfair again until they have satisfied my queries:- i) How can they offer a score service that is incorrect? ii) How can they offer in play betting if there were no live pictures available? I feel the only fair option (I know life isn't fair but ....) is for bets to be voided on this match and if this isn't possible for all in play bets to be voided. I don't expect this to happen and the lesson I have learn't is to only ever get involved in events I can follow with my own eyes. |

Has anyone else written a complaint and received a call this morning?

This thread is one of the most ridiculous threads I have ever seen on this forum
And that takes some doing And these people bet with real money.... |
By:
Jimmy69 - Thanks for the constructive comments. Maybe you could add something which requires some degree of intelligence yourself.

It beggars belief. |

lol, dont be silly. Whenever I place a bet following a scoreboard I accept the risk that roughly 0.002% the scoreboard may not be completely accurate and I may well lose my money as a result. I also accept the risk that an injury could occur and I wouldnt know about it but someone else will.
The fact that people got a signal in this match meant that they were willing to take on the risk that the scoreboard wasnt right but they could get 1.2 on a 1.03 shot. 2 years ago I lost what was a significant sum to be at the time on a manipulated market. When I placed that bet I accepted the risk that I could have got it wrong, even though I was certain I hadnt got it wrong. I was wrong and when I lost I didnt go crying to betfair to void |

betfair are willing to talk

Jimmy69 - thought it would be something trite like that. Glad you lived up to expectations.

There is no point me providing a constructive comment here because people don't listen. |

Mugz Bunny 09 Jul 13:28 woohoo my thread made a 1000 posts ;-) mine made almost 6000. :) |

There have been a few constructive/valid points on here, but they just get ignored beacuse the losers are only hearing what they want to hear
By:
jimmy69...You just need a bit of patience m8....Should only take about another 30 pages to make it clear...lol.
By:
Exactly itfc.
I can't believe this thread is still going....lol |
By:
Not coming back to me then mugz?
By:
i) How can they offer a score service that is incorrect? How many times has it been incorrect? About 3 times from thousands and thousands of matches. Betfair crashes, you want betfair shut down because it isnt 100% functional all the time? ii) How can they offer in play betting if there were no live pictures available? They stopped this policy ages back. And tennis betting has been better for it |

this tread still going because betfair cant't provide fairness..
By:
Don
Nobody is listening....lol |

I'll try it one more time although it has been mentioned several times
Simple fact is people on here were taking advantage of someone (people), they thought were not in the know, disadvantaged, getting the wrong score etc This seemed to be fine, people were laughing and joking about this 'poor sod' etc, doing his money, obviously no ethical worries there Suddenly they find the tables are turned and they are the ones being taken advantage of and not in the know Suddenly it seems to be morally wrong, bets should be void etc... |

this tread still going because betfair cant't provide fairness.. You bet on someone who lost and they lost and you didn't win. How, in the name of anything that anyone believes in, is that not fair? |
By:
just been on the phone to betfair arguing with some bloke who says it will not be voided :(
anyone else phoned them this morning? |
By:
itfc,
It's even 'funnier' than that, they were warned by people in the thread at the time and laughed at those people. Then they stopped laughing. |
By:
is Lori thick in the head?

Believe it 09 Jul 13:34
this tread still going because betfair cant't provide fairness.. What's not fair? People who had a bet on Isner lost, cause he lost. People who had a bet on Levine won, cause he won... |
By:
dawsy,
If you think it's unfair, shut your account down and go give your money to people at another site who you do deem fair. |
By:
dawsy
Why don't you call the scoreboard operators at newport. They cost you a lot of money. |
By:
i signed up to bwin :)

Nobody ever does anymore jimmy, this place is such a mess these days
By:
Im not the one who bet 1.03 about someone a set and 5-1 down.

the people on here piling in because they thought they were onto free munney reminds me of that incident when someone on moneyexpert thought they'd spotted free munney on a footie market. so everyone piled in, gleefully saying how clever they were. sadly they didn't realise they hadn't understood the market and got shafted.
did betfair refund them? i seem to recall they might've done. |
By:
Ah, so you're going to give your hard earned to a bookie rather than other people.
Sounds about right :) |
By:
They didnt refund them as such, they just didn't follow up the money owed to them.
By:
Dawsy and others........you got your answer earlier. This is not the first time the protennis scoreboard has been wrong. Betfair didn't void in other cases ( and there was no need for them to do so) and they will not do in this one otherwise they open the door for a whole load of retrospective claims.

what i find amazing is that whatever was right or wrong...its done and dusted
have none of you got anything better to do than keep arguing the same points over and over in this fekking shyt thread??? |
By:
Most of them have no money left leefee, so the answer is probably "no they dont"
