It is a real sickener for those who lumped on.
Troy McClure 08 Jul 22:24 I was alerted to this match by a mate, and turned on the market at 5-1 0-15 Isner Isner should have been 1.01 to LAY at that stage. He was backable at 1.17. That told me something instantly When Isner had match point, Levine should have been 500+. As it was, you could back Isner for 10k at 1.04, 75k at 1.02 and 120k at 1.01 At that point, I was certain something was up Sadly, I sat here with my thumb up my ar$e and did nothing about it. Looking back now, it was all so clear I fell under this catergory. I was looking to lay for a liability of 2k to bring in as much as possible as I knew it was a great value Long Term play, however, I bottled it and left it. Feel sorry for those who lost a load on this match. I never exceed a certain liability on scoreboard matches anyway, and I think thats a practice most will take away from this. The guy who said he lost 13k on this I feel very sorry for. |

People say that only a few courtsiders cleaned up, but there must have been quite a few people realizing what was going on ( it is even mentioned a few times in the earlier pages of this thread), and acting on it.

jibjib - I think you (and others) are incorrect where you say I was staealing from someone else as I wasn't. I thought that the price was a generous one based on the information I had (i.e. the score provided by Betfair / SB and the price being 1.09) but many people lay at those prices in those situations. That's the risk we all take but it' wasn't a calculated risk as it was one or two people manipulating the market as they knew the scores being provided were incorrect.
I have been told by Betfair that bets will not be voided but I think this is out of order. I'm not crying because I got it wrong (I do that plenty and don't complain), here I was conned and Betfair should get to the bottom of how this happened and void all in play bets (minimum). |
