For some reason I'd like to think JFH pisses up, however unlikely

A refreshing lack of stage and dance school graduates?

The footballers are good characters, though karen likely too hard faced.
I could see jimmy really embrace it and have a great time. |

Good to see some interest, brushy
![]() Footballers have a terrible record. Alex Scott said the best they've ever done was the quarter final. And that was her ![]() |

Chloe would win though

She might try for the SPOTY, Strictly double next year

He can't be worse than the rugger lad and nitro surely

See our old specials pal Vikki P back in a game again...interesting one?
By:
How's the 'geordie' specials strength for Strictly GB...?
By:
No point asking brushy, stu. He doesn't watch it
I wouldn't say Vicky was the perfect fit, although she's more chilled and more likeable for me, now she's a married woman The only geordie I can think of who took part, was Jill halfpenny. And she won. I suspect there have been others. |
By:
Chris Ramsay was from South Shields and finished 4th, despite being a fairly average dancer and a bit of tw@t
By:
Seems there is some steady regional support then - she's not dislikeable, and if she can move at all will be a winners threat IMO. We know she has historically won votes, though adding dancing will always mix it up.
As you know, like GB, I've also not been a strictly expert in the past, but her specials pedigree caught my eye here - aside from the jolly (obv USPs) and possibly Alex K (actress-trained for some dance), they don't look a massively strong field against her, so I've backed those 3 with VP main bet, for an interest level of staking against this field. |
By:
I've covered Dani D also, as she has a big following, though not sure if she has any dancing at all.
By:
I may now find out that there was a good reason I don't usually bet on Strictly
![]() But with limited shows for me these days (I prefer the music ones and a little of IAC), I'm having a little branching out this time! |
By:
n1 stu. I wasn't keen on Vicky in IAC. I preferred Ferne
Didn't like her on DOI thoughVicky has gone the other way. I much prefer her now I won't go into too much detail, dyor, but all the females seem to have a fair amount of dance experience. Including Dani and Vicky |
By:
That was my suspicion yes - I'd guessed Vikki, Dani and Alex would all have had some dance, given performance training at some point in their various careers. That's a start at least. The jolly is obv one to cover at least, given she will stand out whatever she does and is also likely to have had some movement training (as an actor).
By:
I also preferred Ferne in IAC (and backed her), but Vikki's vote was unstoppable in the end.
By:
Just realised I should learn how to spell Vicky too
![]() |
By:
haha easy mistake to make.
I thought Ferne was great in the jungle. The 1st TOWIE person, I'd ever liked. She couldn't even get 2nd in the end though. Despite a fair amount of help |
By:
Vicky being a dance school alumni seems unlikely to me? Too busy stewing her liver in voddy.
Dyor though |
By:
It's a fair query against her GB yes - from what I've read I'm not 100% sure about her dancing potential either. But, she's got the kind of build for it, potential journey of improvement even, and possibly managed to pick up a few lessons over the years here and there, in her 'media profile training' etc...Oh, and the Geordie vote of course.
By:
You could be right about Vicky. She says she has no dance experience. I'm sure google AI said she went to Sylvia Young. But it doesn't now. So maybe it was hallucinating or I was. Doesn't seem too likely as it's in London

George Clarke has a pretty devoted fanbase. How many votes does the winner usually get?
By:
Thanks bear. I'm sure I didn't imagine it. They even had something about Vicky saying she didn't learn much as she wasn't paying attention in the dance lessons.
Or maybe it was all a dream More than the other 3 finalists, lifter ![]() |

So ai has learnt in a couple of days? We're basically on the countdown to skynet going self aware

George Clarke has a pretty devoted fanbase. How many votes does the winner usually get? They don't tell us, despite the fact that TGBP as license payers pay for the whole thing! Is it because they don't want to hurt the feelings of the less popular luvies? Or is it that, as a propaganda wing of the globalist deep-state marxists, they just like secrecy for secrecy's sake? You decide! |
By:
I'm always amazed viewers don't suffer due to the above issue of hiding the votes - if I didn't bet I wouldn't give a stuff about voting or watching, when they hide the votes afterwards - same for other shows like SPOTY.
By:
*viewers figures

Ah thanks guys, I didn't know that, and it does seem weird

Anyway, I see George making the final or top 2. Although he is already priced up as such anyway, it seems.

Haven’t posted on here for a few years now but popped in to say that you simply must cover Tom Skinner here as this is obviously going get a lot more political.
There’s a high chance that Tom will end up as a lightning rod for the disatisfied population. Also a little bit of a journey potential as well. |
By:
Bosh!
Seems a total bell end to me and absolutely useless. No idea why his 'fans' would have any interest in 'the woke BBC' and their dancing shows If Farage couldn't win IAC then not sure why this nobody will pull in much of a vote |
By:
..altho I'm sure he outlast a few better dancers
By:
he will*

Skinner has no chance of winning SCD, but a lot has changed since Farage did IAC. Maybe if Skinner got close to the final, it could get a bit interesting, but I can't see that happening. The DS crowd are absolutely triggered, inclusive and kind people that they all are. That makes his very signing on the show worthwhile alone.
Hopefully he does stick around for a bit, I may even have to create a ds log in to remind them all of how good his dancing is. In seriousness, far from sure I'll be able to hack it this year. That launch show was the hardest thing to go through since I started betting on rtv. Even the Chris McCausland bits were high level cringe. |

Hah!!! A post of mine has been deleted; seems it's not just the biden-appointed Supreme Court Justice who doesn't know what a 'woman' is, nor that men cannot EVER become women. CHORTLE at such blind ignorance!
