She looked good there. Doubled Keirin and Sprint win for Emma also backed EW for Spoty. Would be a shocker if wasn’t top 3 with two or three golds. 11/4 in places now Cool

Not a bad play Hibore, i think she's a cert for the sprint. This Keirin still looks tricky, hopefully she's as smart a rider as the experts say. Tactic's and luck required though, a silver wouldn't be the end of the world for me. She has the personality and likeability factor, as long as she golds in the sprint she'd still be the most successful women at a single games. The regional vote at this point would seriously come into play to give her a run at the fav.
3 golds and she's 1.05 for me and only an act of god would stop her winning SPOTY

Problem is BBC have already brainwashed the country labelling Keely as queen of the games. ISPOTY is now a two horse race as not sure what Littler can do between now and mid December.

100/30 seems best price now EW and assuming she at least wins Sprint she’ll be Spoty top 3. That gets most of the money back whatever happens in Kierin.
3 Golds gets her into 6/4 against Keely which gives us a chance.

Where you are in SPOTY order before voting starts is also massive. Being up last before telephones open gives you a chance.
Are you on EW at 33/1 ?

800 meters vrs Cycling where we expect to do well is my other main concern.

Cheers bear, i'm on win only Hib. Two golds with the bronze would still make her the most successful British woman at one games, but i can't see that being good enough to beat Keely myself. All depends how the beeb want to play it, they could downplay that achievement of make a big deal out of it.
If big if, she does get the gold on sunday, she would of raced on 5 consecutive days. Again they could big it up or not.
I think Keely's deaf story and winning gold on the track is the bigger story though. The welsh could still come out in force, so top 3 still on.

It is also Emma's 1st games, again the beeb could big it up or not. She's amazing in front of the camera as just mentioned on tv, it will come down to who the beeb want to win.
If we get that last gold, a determined campaign with those 3 major points i've mentioned would make it interesting and you can bet your last quid i'd be touring wales promoting it Wink

Way above my expectations.  Big athletics vote splitter if she wins.  I'd say kjt beats keely

kjt gold certainly helps Emma and Luke

Lol

On pb's she can't possibly do it.  But on form she can.  Fair value on the hep market

lol fig, Emma goes again today. Over the next 3 days she has the chance to rewrite the history books and surpass Mary rands record of 3 medals at one games. I still believe another gold could be enough given all the factors.

What will play a major part in her winning SPOTY is how she acts in front of the camera, the way she accepted bronze yesterday and comparing it feeling like a gold. Her happiness was a joy to behold, her reaction to another gold would be immense and not just a golden medal but a golden tv moment.

Suspect kjt needed to win that long jump

yep, everyone making it easy for Keely against Luke's very unknown voting power. If it comes down to them two, he has to be the big value but he loses out bigtime on the personality stakes. He's like an early steve davis and that miserable git scot murray, but didn't stop him winning i guess.

Keely's 4 years of effort v Luke's monumental rise at such a young age, will be intriguing.

Emma gold required for me, but will fatigue catch her up by sunday ? Was it just me or did she look tired in the semi and the final, bit of a lottery event that Keirin tbh.
I think Emma is tiring and a gold would be massive for her chances, to come back after that bronze. Can't see it myself but whatever happens she'll be telling everyone how knackered she is lol

To put it into perspective, Emma has to race 7 times over the next 3 days

13:48 last 32
18:10 last 16

tomorrow
16:00 last 8
18:07 quarterfinals

sunday
10:22 semifinals
11:45 final

bbc are pr1cks, advertised it would be on extra earlier and show footy instead.

i'm fairly confident of a silver, (if her energy levels hold up) which would be some achievement for a debut games...to train for and win 3 medals, which would equal rands record who won spoty her year.
big question is would it get the attention it deserves ? we don't know yet.
She could be in the final v Friedrich, who has raced the same events as Emma so both could be running on empty in the final..Emma narrowly beat the german to win the world championships 2-0 in that final so holds the edge if they do meet again.

When: 10 Aug 24 19:11
other brit Capewell out, probably good otherwise they would of met in semi...she'll want revenge for her mate now.

Emma qualified 2nd 10.067 av speed 71.521 Km/h
Wouw qualified 8th 10.263 av speed 70.155 Km/h

Emma looks to have plenty in hand and should cruise into the final.

When: 10 Aug 24 19:28
That madison, (similar to the points race) was utter chaos.  Not sure what the value is of having such a mess of an event
By:
armagnac
When: 10 Aug 24 19:36
final will be who qualified 1st or 3rd
1st is friedrich who she beat in worlds and 3rd fastest is Andrews who won the Keirin, so the final will be very hard and not a lot in it, whoever she faces.
By:
armagnac
When: 10 Aug 24 19:36
yeah could not keep up with that crap at all lol
