Eurojury voted Croatia top for their semi final, Ukraine 3rd, and Israel 3rd for their semi final (Switzerland and Belgium 1 and 2)

Betting had different favs for jury and tele vote
last year. Pretty sure both landed. Take care |

Every dog and their duck knew Finland would top the televotes and Sweden the jury though. This year Croatia were as assured as Finland, bah Ukraine, to win the televotes. But Israel came from the clouds in a move which has left us all very puzzled

Eurovision Charts @esc_charts
The second semi-final live performance of "Hurricane" by Eden Golan has now surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. It's the 3rd from the event to reach this feat, taking 18 hours to do so. #Eurovision Them only being 3rd doesn't add up with them winning 40% of the votes in at least two countries to me. They are also miles behind Croatia (4.8M), Ireland (4.6M) and Ukraine (3.7M) although they've had an additional 48 hrs on YT. |

If there was hype starting last night I feel her numbers should be much strong, especially compared to the other ones from SF2.
|
|
By:
*stronger
And with all the attention it's been getting, I feel the numbers should also be stronger. |

I'm not sure how long the market takes to find the favourites
is any great concern once they are arrived at. Pity we didn't get on the plunge. |
|
By:
Wrong or right I'm not sure, at the prices being traded a valid argument could be made for both sides. However analysing it as a regular entry would be a mistake. Just like 2022, the actual song has only modest relevance. The actual act and how they come across is a little more important. But it would be attracting many televotes whatever the presentation was. EV World poll has Isr on 7% right now, and closed with Ukr on 9% in 2022. Both of them would have been mid pack without the external factors. But Ukr was long odds on ftw, and Isr 7/2 so the market reflects that it's far from certain, where it was pretty much certain for Ukr in 2022.

Yeah, no certainty,
Voting by juries will happen soon, |
|
By:
Who in their right mind would say I will have £50k on Croatia odds on even though the market has Israel, which could go toe to toe with them in a jury, as odds on to win the vote. Someone must know Croatia jury votes will be better. We had this last year when we knew Finland might get 100+ lead in the tele votes but someone was uber confident in smashing Loreen heavy odds on knowing the jury vote would be more than enough to take over such a gap !

Exactly.
But they landed last year. |

Croatia 1.88
Israel 5.3 |

How will the juries vote for Netherlands if they are not performing tonight ?
|
|
By:
they will play his SF 2 performance.

Cheers. That's what I assumed, but couldn't find an official source !

well Ben is not the official source, but there's a memo there on this.

how much shall we read into this?

Official ESC sponsors, 'MoroccanOil' aren't, (as I'd always assumed), a Moroccan petrol company, they make hair products. What deliciously sweet irony, then, that these anti-semite virtue signalling wokesters are all being sponsored by an Israeli company!
Joost, intimidating poor little Israeli and Swedish girls, can phuck right off! |

Finnish Eurovision singer apologises after backlash from dancing with Israel entrant
Anyone ever looked back at the history of the holocaust and wondered how it could possibly happen. The fascists are emboldened again, that's for sure. |

By:
France fluffed their song in front of the final voting jury. A big jury vote was their chance for victory. Not good news for their chances
|
|
By:
Yeah France right back out again.
|
|
By:
the big wallet has been falling on Switzerland. i agree with the market this time that it's most likely jury bait, the televote appeal is less convincing.
|
|
By:
haha, they can't even do rehearsals with fake voting without drama.
https://twitter.com/mika_ljm/status/1789217239150862756 (from what I gather, the Finnish vote reader were supposed to give Israel their fake 12 points, but refused to say Israel's name, so they had to pretend there were tech difficulties and clear this up later). |
|
By:
so is this an indication of jury members' attitude towards Israel or just one tv presenter going rogue?
|
|
By:
it's chronic. I watched a couple of the usual live streamers and they are sh1t scared to say anything about Israel, esp anything remotely positive. Of course they all desperately fear the online mob I cited above re Käärijä. The EV bubble all rooting for a man who is allegedly in trouble for being aggressive toward a young woman. It's definitely the twilight zone, especially when you think of the proclivities of many of the people who are EV fanatics, and who they are tacitly supporting with the vitriol directed at Eden.

The Dutch artist Joost Klein will not be competing in the Grand Final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Swedish police have investigated a complaint made by a female member of the production crew after an incident following his performance in Thursday night’s Semi Final. While the legal process takes its course, it would not be appropriate for him to continue in the Contest. We would like to make it clear that, contrary to some media reports and social media speculation, this incident did not involve any other performer or delegation member. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour at our event and are committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for all staff at the Contest. In light of this, Joost Klein’s behaviour towards a team member is deemed in breach of Contest rules. |

This poll on Eurovisionworld is funny, all the winners that won due to making political statements are in bottom 3.
