the last time someone outside the UK got top 3 was frankie in 1996, i'd say without a doubt he was far more likeable back then.
I'd say the chances of him getting more votes than local lad Rory is highly unlikely, even with a campaign Rory is one of the most liked golf players on the planet, i'd actually say the the most liked who is still currently playing a full season. |

bbc afaik have not reached the 21st century and don't do apps. so even via email it takes effort. in 2023 people don't do effort. so the system favours motivated and organised campaigns. most likely that's why they tried that on the night nonsense and moment of the year.
