There’s a Mirror poll that puts Sally ahead but annoyingly it asks “Who do you think will win The Voice?” and not “Who do you want…”
Christina gets a lot of internet hate but that’s irrelevant because she also scores very highly on the positive side as well, as per likes and the polls above. The little One Show snippet reminded me that she has the best voice. Jermaine’s One Show clip was also impressive and he has some momentum on net comments etc. I missed Jamie's bit which was at the beginning Last night’s “Louder” told us that Sally will be back to her comfort zone on Saturday, after last Saturday’s travesty. Hopefully she’ll use her guitar for Both Sides Now. It looks like a simple guitar piece. “Louder” also told us that the Voice judges are allowed to do the best for their acts and are not instructed to undermine them as in XF. And I don’t think the Voice use undermining staging, I’ve not noticed it anyway. |

I probably like Christina the most, In the final I'm sure one of the judges will tell her she was great, to which she can reply "yes I was"

I think for every person that has a go at Christina online (and there's no negative vote) there are a hundred who find her quite an inspirational young girl. And they have 4 free votes each online.
The standard of the final 4 is higher than recent XFs. As a Sally backer I'm largely relying on her back story. It's not nearly as clear cut as with Sam Bailey on vocal quality alone. There's a good chance they'll show Sally's two sympathetic sons in the audience, she'll use her guitar with Both Sides Now, and say how it reminds her of her dead husband, and her Walking In Memphis duet will be the most sympathetic. (And I'm hoping she doesn't make Dear Darling "her own".) |

I think you can virtually ignore online indicators on this show and go with your instincts. Mine say Christina can't win and could even be 1st out, but they haven't been great of late

I'm rather more cautious after using that very tactic with CBB Charlotte

surely kylies act will be out first
who is he ? |

I think H is spot on....Christina divides opinion sharply going by online indicators. The question is,is the pro brigade enough to get her the win?
In a 4 way final,it may be as little as 35% of the vote is required for victory, especially as all the contestants are likely to receive a fair size proportion of vote.Is Christina's marmite support equal or more than 35/65 ? That's the conundrum IMO. |
By:
Christina is 18% v 82% marmite. H2H with Sally its 80v20 Sally. Christina's only hope seems to be the online voting.

Why would online voting help her cause GB2 ?
By:
Because she seems to have more support on twitter which usually means jack sh1t but its possible the twitterati might actually get off their arses and use their four votes. Just can't see the GBP picking up the phone for her in an ygreat numbers. But like you say in a pretty close four way who knows. I still think Sally who I have ahead has the most motivated vote. The intelligentsia view is lets pick a winner with some "potential" but voting is a visceral not an intellectual thing imo.

Nope, I don't agree with that George. A typical Christina FB post will have a comment "She is full of herself" getting 35 thumbs up but the post itself will get 2,000 likes. It's the people who like her that count. And there are a lot of them.

By:
* "I don't agree" with the "18% v 82% marmite"

You could well be right Henry. I have posted elsewhere that my findings don't really go with my gut instinct. Not been looking at FB but she was doing well on twitter last time I looked. I am in two minds about just settling for a decent all green of about £1k or letting it ride.

That I agree with. |

She's pulled clear on the TM poll, and virtually drawn level on the DS poll and her YouTube views from last weekend are not bettered. The online support is certainly there, although equally there seems to be quite a lot of animosity towards her going by Facebook comments and DS.
Seems like viewers fall into one of two camps.....Best vocalist in the competition,or screaming, shouting Bighead. The biggest thing in her favour perhaps is the spread of support for her 3 rivals, even allowing for Sally being more popular perhaps than the two boys. She would certainly lose a H2H against all three rivals. |

By:
My marmite stats have been pretty accurate in the past on things like CBB but there is this real middle england v interweb split with Christina that makes it a hard one.
By:
Re H2H do we know re phone lines opening and closing on the night? I may well be in a no wifi situation on Saturday so need to make a book decision before then.
By:
AFAIK Lines open up to first elimination, then re-opened for final 3 until just before the result.
By:
Thanks. I think £1k is being optimistic given my current book.
Sally +£1764 Jamie +£523 Christina +£190 Jermain -£242 What to do? |
By:
Let it ride.
By:
Maybe lay Jamie to 0
By:
thanks

By:
I have Jermain just ahead of Jamie but will BBC viewer racism kick in?
By:
Off topic but anyone had a dental implant?

Christina - Fix You
By:
Christina's going to fix GB2's dental implant?
By:
I'm sure she'd give it a go
By:
2 good songs for her tbf
By:
the power of love and fix you
By:
2 jollies not stitched up.Wrecking Ball a strange choice for Jermain, and Jamie reprising Sex On Fire rather than his Semi-Final song.
By:
As much as the Joni Mitchell song is perfect for Sally's style,I do have a doubt about whether the majority of the audience will know it,and therefore connect with it.
By:
I'd be surprised if more than 2 or 3% of the audience will know it
By:
The Power of Love:
Frankie Goes to Hollywood (and Gabrielle Aplin) or Jennifer Rush (and Céline Dion)? |
By:
Yes, better vote magnets for Christina in the song choices.
By:
OK I've caught up, it's Frankie

By:
Jeez I hate Christina's rendition. Still, the judges and public seem to like it.
By:
The small bit of Fix You sounded awful too
By:
P of L is great until she starts shouting.
