I believe "In A Moment Like This" dropped below 2 in-running, but this was during voting when it took the first 2 douze points. It came 4th.

popking I think its the fact that the cagey old bookies cannot lay off as on horses so they take less and less chances to prevent themselves from being well and truly stuck up

Anyone know what odds Charlotte Perrelli was with Hero a few years back. She was top on some polls and a fan favourite, she managed to scrape in the top 10 of the semi-final and ended up with a low score on final night?

"Hero" was 4th or 5th fave at around 16-1. I know as I backed it. :(

Could be inside info, in which case it's a good price, could easily be lemmings and it could be a ridiculous price. Just wish you could bet into these markets cleanly. Lordi's price tumbled like a stone when it became apparent they'd won their SF.

Yup. Hero was a big price, bad example. Fairytale, Opera dude, Drip Drop, and Loreen were all big faves, the first and last being similar price movements to Denmark. Drip Drop big drifter after draw and Opera dude was a big dollop of Euro marmite.

Opera mans wasn't good vocally on the night and when i heard Azerbaijan in the semi-final i had the feeling that they would win

What stood out vocally to me on Tuesday was Estonia, Russia, Moldova and Lithuania. Nothing else really impressed me vocally wise.

my gut feelin now says DENMARK. My strongest songs if i had not seen any betting would be RUSSIA and NETHERLANDS. I wonder if u wud feel the same FIVE LEAVES ae al if there was no betting market to study that could sway us one way or t'other?

I am still not convinced about Denmark, I wasn't impressed with the performance on Tuesday. Although I was impressed with some performances on Tuesday nothing is giving me the feeling that it will win. Maybe tonight I will get that feeling.

a song probably does not need to be sung the very best in the semis - Russia came 3rd in its semi 2008 before dotting up in the final - does that tell u that the singer (s) are only saving there best till the last??
