As usual I'm late to the party, just been listening to the favs on YT there is nothing that hit me like Running Scared did in 2011(bought my Labrador with that win) Went with The Serbian song last year. My early thoughts are. Denmark quite catchy but too short at present Ukraine I cannot really make out what she is singing. Norway I do like this and a good performance on the night could do it. Russia is at least a very good song and different to most of the fancied ones. Also like Germany at this stage. Do not like Italy or Netherlands. Yes, maybe the jury is still out a little on how good it will sound on the night. It's not going to be disaster but is unlikely to sound as good as it did when it won it's national final.

Just thought i'd say hello, I never really post but this is a brilliant thread and love catching up with it. Great opinion and info. I like Ukraine who i've had at 20+ earlier, Norway and Denamrk. (not spectacular picks) I also saw that Belarus were apparently amazing live in one of the Eurovision concerts thingys. I'm taking a little out of them each way with firms. :-) |

I've been reading it since the new year it's a really good read. out of all the songs i've heard i could watch the French girls video and listen to that song all day. Obviously absolutely no chance of winning but if i was buying a song that would be the one. Any thoughts on her? Also when would you say the match bets start appearing? Maybe a week before? |

Catchy songs that tick all the right boxes don't always win as shown from previous contests so it is not guaranteed that this years winner will be a catchy song. No one really knows how a juror or televoter will vote on the night. They could end up voting for something that takes them by surprise. This years winner could be a ballard or something that is strange and unusual or could be a catchy song so it is still an open year.
