True they will JR, but will they vote ?  His achievements, while amazing, from a voting POV are a bit samey

Evens is a fair enough price for me

Darlo made a fine point that the anti Murray brigade is likely to just give up

How very dare you! It won't start properly until late October…I'll get Balders (co-inventor of the Mobot™) on board and there'll be no stopping this train.

Just need to find some wheels first. Excited

I'd theoretically join your campaign. Mo Farah is deemed the greatest athlete the UK has ever produced. He has just achieved something only one other man in history has done. What has Andy Murray done this year? He won one tournament that someone has to win anyway. On paper, he's done nothing special, especially if he wins nothing else all year, especially the US Open or End of Year championships. But I concede, Andy Murray will win it hands down.

That's my thinking...now just to convince the nation!

Keep picking up blocks of Murray here - won't make me rich but it's absolutely 99.9% assured.

Good question.  I'd be nervous laying him with the cycling mob always seemingly in force although he has had little publicity and is pretty characterless.

To me Farah is not the dead cert everyone on here seems to think.  I remember his lack of votes last year in a seemingly golden one for track athletics.

In summary Murray wins, after that I'd hang fire before making any bets.

this sort of article could put doubt in voters minds as well:

I think froome more at threat from doping stories than farah Wink

I'm a layer of froome, but not a backer of farah really

I think someone can sneak through and push them both down one

What if Brad wins the TT at the world champs? Mischief

Froch confirmed as fighting in november, will be big news

Lots more negative stuff for Froome of late

Sean Yates biog - wiggins threatened to quit after froome betrayed him

I hope he doesn't win the wc road race, else I suspect he's going nowhere in spoty

A wiggins win in the WC TT would make things very interesting, he'd surely have to get a nom

Great effort from MO in GNR, good exposure for his w/o claims

It's the fastest growing sport in the country but it doesn't get lots of air time - I'm not sure any other races other than today have been on BBC1 or 2 though I might be wrong, and it's still a very niche sport. Both brothers have also had better years than this year.

None of which matters Darlo, all about public profile which has risen dramatically

Don't matter now OC

there seemed a much bigger crowd for the great north run than for the triathlon, i suspect mo picked up a fair few votes today
for running through the rain.

it would be interesting to see froome, wiggins and cavendish all nominated and have a market for which of the three got least votes !
By:

When: 15 Sep 13 18:14
That would be most fun, yes.  No chance for cav surely, but every chance Wiggins gets nommed - TOB win or WC tt win
