Justin might resonate with the public a little bit more than some recent golfers. They will probably show that performance in the Open as an amateur boy. And the Father's Day storyline. Still an unlikely winner.

Yes, he has a good story. I well remember his Open performance as an amateur. As I am sure most sports fans do.

Likeable guy too.

Great guy and really pleased for him, but in terms of SPOTY you have to compare to GMac who won the US Open and had a starring role in the Ryder Cup who came bottom half of the ten, and was remarkably pipped by Lee Westwood, whose achievement was becoming World No 1.
Contrast with Darren Clarke winning the Open and coming second (also with a good story admittedly) I think Luke Donald and Lee Westwood hold more popularity with the wider public than Rose and an Open win for them would make them massive contenders. Happy to oppose Rose sub evens for Top 3 at this stage. |

Andy spoty hopes rest on a good result in wimbldon imo,Andy Murray @andy_murray 3m
Thanks to everyone for the messages of support for wimbledon... Ill give everything I have on the court starting with round 1 tomorrow |

My prediction is, it'll be a Muzza Nadal semi-final, & whoever wins that will win Wimbledon this year.

Could be Tsonga's year
|
|

Muzza has a great h2h record vs Tsonga, & I'd fancy him to beat Fed as long as it remains an outdoor match. If it rains & it is played under the roof, then it'll be advantage Fed again.

Darcis matched at a high of 95's. Nadal matched at 1.01 for £109,990! £1.4m matched at 1.05 and below. £2.09m matched at 1.1 and below These money buyers must be loons ![]() |

Baldie was offering 3-1 Muzza for SPOTY. Just requested £100 - they offered me £8. I rejected it & they've cut him to 5-2 anyway. The story of my online Specials betting these days.

A little value bet, with Paddies back Joker wimbledon @8/11, money back if Muzza wins up to £100
|
|
By:
He will still most likely have to beat the world no1, so far from easy.
|
|
By:
One to keep an eye on is Dustin Brown, a wildcard, who looked mighty impressive today beating Hewitt.

Djokovic still the best player in the world. But I reckon he caves in the final against Murray
|
|
By:
perfect match for andy to get the public onside
might wake him up too |
|
By:
For Muzza to play that badly, & get through, bodes quite well. And if Del Potro can patch himself up in time & plays like he did today against Ferrer, he will beat Djokovic, like he did at the Olympics last year at Wimbledon.

fll, sorry bit off topic but are you on Bartoli for Wimbledon?
you made a comment a while back during BGT that there is a great bet, the last (?) player to beat Serena Williams. so I looked it up and Bartoli beat her in 2011 so I had a few pounds on at 300, I owe you haha |

It wasn't me Sam.
I don't really follow tennis, but thanks anyway ...and well done on the bet |

Very difficult here to see how you go wrong backing both Murray and Froome.
It will 95% for me be one of the two. Probably Murray no matter what happens today. |
