Yes Im not 100% that tptb knew about the potential Rough Copy problems, but given the sing off dilemma versus GMD3 it does seem likely they knew.Would think and hope that their reinstatement, reformation and ultimate qualification forms a major part of the weekends shows.

Looks like Ella has the Devlin effect this year. Only she brings a bit more to the table than Janet did imo.
By:
LOU MACARIS TARTAN B
When: 01 Oct 12 13:30
Janet was awful.  Poor almost every week she unfairly finished about 5th didn't she.  Personally I'd have had only about 2 acts worse than her in the finals.  I'm actually struggling to think of the second one!

When: 01 Oct 12 13:45
For once we agree Lou.
To compare Ella with an annoying Emo Kid with an affected, often out of tune voice is like comparing the Little Muffins with Belle Amie
By:
LOU MACARIS TARTAN B
When: 01 Oct 12 13:47
Yes Muffins v Bel Amie ia a walk over.  I mean a 4/10 beats a 3/10 all day long surely.

wink!
By:
TheMadness
When: 01 Oct 12 14:18
The comparison has nothing to do with their voices or talent, but the effect they have on a certain segment of the audience. Young girls, seemingly quite sweet (though probably not), with granny apppeal.
By:
Helmuthian Folds
When: 01 Oct 12 15:53
Janet was at least quite sweet looking and photogenic where as Ella is absolutely not!

In terms of singing Ella is a group one performer where as Janet would have been shot and melted down for glue!

Both mingers on the Brush scale
By:
Helmuthian Folds
When: 01 Oct 12 16:04
I wouldn't disagree but Janet had a 'soft' look where as Ella looks like a hard faced little bint.

And there lies her achilles heel and makes her current price ridiculous!
By:
GeorgeBrush
When: 01 Oct 12 16:10
Nonsense HF.  She's a cuddly as needed.  A much more evil looking 17 year old came 3rd last year
By:
hemsby
When: 01 Oct 12 16:14
More supremely confident, rather than hard faced may I suggest?
By:
GeorgeBrush
When: 01 Oct 12 16:17
She is, but still retains vulnerability.  Looks of factors explain the price.
By:
GeorgeBrush
When: 01 Oct 12 16:17
Looks?  lots ffs
By:

When: 01 Oct 12 16:18
HF another one who missed the 7/1 Wink

She's an odd looking at times, but she has the ability to both smile and cry while singing.
Hard faced is a phrase which applies much more to Devlin.
By:
hemsby
When: 01 Oct 12 16:18
I think we are right to look for potential flaws given the shortness of her price. Can she do up-tempo if required,or will she be a singing candle? It's nit picking I appreciate,as everything we have seen so far suggests she is bombproof.

Lucie didn't last long (except in my cellar).  You'd rather be Ella for votes

There's enough in her Midnight Train to Georgia performance to suggest she'll have few problems with more uptempo numbers

Plenty singing candles have won anyway. Probably time for another one
