 NERVES and the fear of a horror fall are not the only emotions Dancing on Ice star Jennifer Ellison is struggling to control – she is also weighed down by a burden of guilt. As the 28-year-old actress embarks on her third month of training for the hit ITV1 show, she feels terrible for deserting her two-year-old son Bobby. Jennifer, who makes her debut on the ice rink tomorrow night with her professional skating partner Dan Whiston, says: “He’s too young to understand that I have to go to work and earn a living. “That’s when I feel the guilt.” For the past 12 weeks while she has been preparing for the show, the bulk of parenting responsibilities have fallen on the shoulders of her husband, former boxer Robbie Tickle. And Jennifer is aware that she now faces losing her weekends too as the competition steps up a notch – so she could see even less of Rob and Bobby at their home in Liverpool. there's loads more but just a load of waffle really |

Dancing On Ice 2012 contestant Matthew Wolfenden has revealed that he’s injured his leg while practising his latest skating routine.
The 32-year-old – best known for playing David Metcalfe in Emmerdale – had to see a physiotherapist after snapping a tendon. He posted on Twitter: “Having to ice dip my leg on Physios recommendation! Due to knackering my tendon while skating! Basically have to put my leg in a bucket Of ice water and keep it there as long as poss. “Honestly so painful to try to keep it in there! Bbrrrrrrr. Well if it works!” |

Belated happy new year to all the regs
!!!! Been out the country, and busy with work stuff since return. Will likely be posting a lot less this year. Eurovision will be main focus so please keep reading EntOdds. Going to try and get pass for Baku if I can.Thoughts on current shows, DOI - 2-horse race for me but Wolfenden's competitiveness makes me want to oppose him at 5-4. Porter looks a more natural skater to me too, very balletic, and value at anything close to 3-1 imho. Think she has come across well so far. CBB: what an epic, surely one of the most interesting series in years (from betting perspective). Cocozza looks most likely winner to me. Gareth gets the Welsh bloc but his narrative is lacking. And beware Welch. A truly heinous woman. Madsen has her number but sadly, she has brought about his downfall. Just see Welch potentially harnessing the scorned, frumpy, man-hating harridan vote - essentially the LW audience  Fat Nat is equally unpleasant but conceals it better, and Welch takes her vote surely. Love the Twins and Madsen but the eejits who watch and vote will be judging them harshly and find it hard to see either winning.Good luck all |

I'm far from convinced DOI is a 2 horse race. There are 2 very lively outsiders for me given personality doubts over both of the front 2. Chico the obvious one and Corrie boy is a silly price. CBB, I don't see any sizeable welsh vote coming in to play and I still see The Twins and Madsen as in with great shouts as they're the forums/hardcores favs and they seem to decide the winner these days. Or have much more influence anyway. As for ESC. Is it you on Cyprus? I see they're being represented by someone who was 6th in the Greek XF , but she can't sing to my ears. |

DOI is having a tough week, with Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden in agony after injuring his leg in training and other competitors going into meltdown... literally. Matt, who has been partnered with Nina Ulanova, is now having ice baths to try and recover in time for Sunday. He told Twitter followers: "Basically have to put my leg in a bucket of ice water and keep it there as long as poss. So painful!" Meanwhile stars who train at Absolutely Ice in Slough, including Heidi Range and Chico, have been sidelined by the rink thawing out. Coolant pipes under the ice burst, shutting it down. A worried show source told TV Biz: "Celebrities only have five days to learn new routines as it is — and some didn't get on the ice at all yesterday." (Stuff about Matt's "injury" is old news) |

The twist that Phillip Schofield mentioned on Sunday night’s Dancing on Ice has today been revealed.
Named ‘The Dual’, the twist will see the remaining twelve celebrities paired up – based on their place on the leader board this past week. Each pair will skate onto the ice together with their professional partners, then each celebrity will perform a routine. Both celebrities will skate to the same song, and will then skate over to the judges. Judges; Louie Spence, Robin Cousins and Katarina Witt will then choose which of the two celebrities they would like to send through to next week’s show and which they’ll be putting up for the public vote. After all six pairs have skated, six celebrities will be immune and six up for the public vote. The two celebrities with the lowest votes will perform again in the skate-off, and the judges will decide who will be leaving the show and who will remain. The pairs are as follows: Matthew Wolfenden and Jorgie Porter, Andy Whyment and Rosemanry Conley, Heidi Range and Charlene Tilton, Jennifer Ellison and Sébastian Foucan, Chico and Sam Nixon and Corey Feldman and Chemmey Alcott. |

Dancing On Ice 2012 star Jorgie Porter has said she’s worrying about falling out of her ‘extra skimpy’ costume on this weekend’s show. The blonde beauty, who topped the judges’ score board last Sunday, revealed she’s going to be flashing plenty of flesh after her success as a sexy secretary on Sunday. She said: “I think I will [fall out of my costume] — definitely this week as I know what I’m wearing. I’ll just say there is a lot of flesh.” But despite spicing it up for viewers on the ice, Jorgie told The Sun that the tough training meant little time for fun with her boyfriend! She confessed: “We’re really knackered after a show, so there’s no energy for that! “And he’s been drinking at the bar so he’s like, ‘Oh good’.” |

Dancing On Ice 2012 contestant Matthew Wolfenden reckons that new judge Louie Spence is marking him harshly because he previously beat the camp choreographer in a dance contest! The pair went head-to-head in Germany some years ago, with Matthew beating Louie to the lead role in Romeo And Juliet! “When I came out of dance school my first audition was for a part in Romeo And Juliet,” Matthew explained, “Weirdly enough Louie was at the same audition. “I ended up in the show and he didn’t. What’s even funnier is that Jason Gardiner was also there for an audition and I don’t think he got a part either.” Speaking to the Daily Star, he added: “It’s a good job he’s not still on the panel as well or I really would be in trouble.” |

Just re-read this "twist" on Sunday.So losing 6 go into a vote off,but it seems their scores are not taken into account,just the public vote?
If so,Corey (seems certain to lose v Chemmy) needs to poll bottom 2 against say Matt/Jorgie,Rosemary,Charlene,Sam and Jen/Seb to be in skate-off. I thought initially 6/4 Corey was a gift,but have changed my mind now.We know Charlene didn't get many votes from last week,and if she loses to Heidi she must be in danger,so I'm struggling to find any angle this week.....anyone got any opinions? |

The show doesn't help itself anymore - nobody seems to be given a chance these days other than the best young male and the best young female at the outset. Obviously they usually have a background that helps, but it also seems that they have masses of training to be starting off at a high standard that is hard for others to compete with. And they are pushed forward and lauded as the best throughout.
Very little room for journeys/growers any more. Not just boring for gamblers/traders, but surely also for viewers who have to sit through over two months of the same old, same old until we finally get to see the obvious two + one other in the final (which is also the same old thing every year). |

between sat and monday only £3,000 was matched on the outright win market, says it all no one gives a feck about it.
If we could get a pro sk8ing in the other direction trying to take them out like James Caan in rollerball, we would get more watching and betting on this rubbish. |
