It was a fascinating and rare insight into the mind of Cowell. In that moment, when Will beat Gareth, the arch manipulator was obviously born. I don't think it was so much that he didn't like Will Young (although he obviously didn't like the fact that he dared to talk back), but that he failed to control the outcome. He desperately wanted Gareth to win - and when he didn't get what he wanted, he came up with a format that he could control absolutely. Everything since that point has been about fine tuning that well oiled manipulative machine...

Jen on LW today.
DOI gossip on TM in about 10 mins. |
|
By:
Andy A was on very early this morning.Tipped Andy W as a dark horse.Karen Barber was on later, but nothing of note said.
|

By:
Cheers hemsby.
The Andy W Express could be leaving soon. |
|
By:
and he raved about him again on TM.
And he came across really well, although was pretty astounded about getting the boot. Everyone totally shocked that he was out. Think Schofe, Kerry and Brazier were also very enthusiastic and commented on Robin's remarks about his potential. Other stuff from TM - Laila carrying a very bad shoulder injury, has done for some time, can hardly stand her partner touching her and will only be able to do the most basic of routines, but she doesn't want to drop out before performing. Jen doing really well on LW. However, it does sound like Dan is carrying a very bad hamstring injury. |
|
By:
Andy W my best winner my miles atm so you can start the Andy Whyment Wagon whenever you like - they certainly seem to want to make him the journey candidate.
|
|
By:
Also quite a bit of talk about Jorgie's ballet training on TM, hence her arm and hand placements, etc. They did comment about her lack of actual skating on the ice though, Brazier seemed particularly miffed (altho he seems like a right bloody know all about skating these days). Also commented that things only really clicked with her and her astonishing improvement came about over the past few weeks.

Cheers squares.
An odd decision over Andy A. He could have become pretty good, whereas Heidi is never going to be great. |
|
By:
Even mentioned the J word with AW already
Even these things aren't left to chance anymore ![]() |
|
By:
AA could have been a great journey candidate. From black no hoper to honourary whitey
|
|
By:
Would anyone touch these Jorgie prices? Looked very elegant granted, but barely touched the ice. Didn't look so hot when she did
|
|
By:
Crazy prices atm.
Think someone on TM was suggesting it was hard to separate Matt from the professionals. |
|
By:
JP far too short imo.Would expect her price to drift after next Sunday's show.
|
|
By:
Must be bad if squares comments on a price
![]() |
|
By:
Yep, they did an Attwater vt on Matt. Just showed him falling over, plus saying he wanted to win.
I doubt he'll be above 4 once he skates. |
|
By:
I'm with you. I missed that

By:
I leave people to make their own minds up, but most of the time it looks obvious to me.
|
|
By:
that looks a bit arsey ffs,
as in if you look at a market it is usually pretty obvious who is overpriced, who is underpriced and who is about right. |

To us shrewdies squares.
Some need help ;) Not that anyone listens to any of us on here ![]() |

![]() plus, hard to be enthusiastic about trawling through all the variety of markets when you can't get on anywhere tho. |
|
By:
don't think we get many average punters on here for these markets much anymore tho.
Apart from the major shows, liquidity is crap, same old people playing with each other mostly wanting to do pretty much the same thing. |
|
By:
True enough. If there's a opportunity usually everyone is onto it like a flash these days. That said, I'm doing about the same as ever

365 have male and female the wrong way around
![]() 11/10 female did look good at coral ln. The way wolfenden was vt'd and flying about it would be a big shock if he isn't brilliant. |
|
By:
Jorgie certainly has her chances, but the male role usually gives the best opportunity to really impress I think. Maybe they will try for a female winner this time though and deramp him. Not likely to happen in week 1 though
|
|
By:
Jorgie is going to have to show some skating skill, required elements blah blah. Far from solid in the personality dpt. She is overcooked in the market.
|
|
By:
Surprised that these punters didn't get halved and quartered like the rest of us
![]() Bookies William Hill have at last seen bets for Laila Morse to win Dancing On Ice 2012 with two bets placed, one of 50p and the second a cool £1. “Laila is proving to be the most unpopular contestant in the history of Dancing On Ice, possibly in the history of reality TV full stop!” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams. |

Corey sounds like a total kn0b. Can't see T&D being impressed either.
Dancing On Ice star Corey Feldman has reportedly fallen out with his professional skating partner Brooke Castile, with the pair having a string of “blazing bust ups”. According to The Sun, the Hollywood child star demanded that he should call the shots on their routines. “Corey and Brooke are not seeing eye to eye at all,” a source told the tabloid. “He is convinced he knows a thing or two about ice performance even though he has admitted he is basically an amateur.” The insider added: “He’s been suggesting things for them to do and ways that he thinks they can stand out from the crowd. She’s at her wits’ end and is convinced they’ll be given the push. “He got a reality check when he saw how close the other couples were and realised he needed to make amends. “Corey got her a big bunch of flowers as a gesture to say sorry and pleaded with her to forgive him. “But it could be too little too late.” |

Jen and Dan stuff in the DM
The star was later seen with Dan at a supermarket, with the professional dancer having to lean on her for support as he hobbled along. He appeared to have a bandage around his right leg. When asked about Dan, Jennifer revealed: ''We've had the week from hell. Honestly, people don't know but he's torn his hamstring. So last week it was like "Are we even going to be able to compete?"... We were supposed to be skating last night, we were supposed to be in the first show.' When asked if he would be alright, she answered: 'Well, fingers crossed. We've got an amazing, amazing physio, Sharon, she is just our lifeline. Seriously... We've had so many injuries already. People just don't realise how hard it is.' She later tweeted: 'For all those asking if Dan can't skate on sun then I won't be. So I'm afraid I may be hanging up my boots before its even begun x.' |

there is actually someone more deluded than Andrew Stone
![]() Corey Feldman is so worried about being mobbed by female fans when he makes his Dancing On Ice debut this weekend, that he has reportedly hired a new beefy bodyguard to keep them at bay. The former Lost Boys actor is said to be terrified that some randy ladies will break into his dressing room at Elstree studios and so has hired Madonna’s former minder to watch over him and his private area, when he performs on the ITV show. The Daily Star claims that ‘Dre’ stays with Corey at all times and even keeps a close eye on the star when he rehearsing on the ice rink, in case he is unexpectedly approached by any crazed fans. An insider said: “Dre follows Corey everywhere. He’s become quite a fixture backstage. Everyone loves him. “Though we’re not quite sure why he’s needed. Corey may have starred in loads of films but he could probably walk round Elstree and no-one would realise who he is.” The whole thing sounds like paranoia to us and considering Feldman’s past relationship with drugs and alcohol, this isn’t in the slightest bit surprising. |

"so has hired Madonna’s former minder to watch over him and his private area"
Surely a little excessive? |

Bit of a move for Jen recently
from UNRTV Insiders have claimed that there is dissent amongst this year’s Dancing On Ice contestants. Jennifer Ellison was supposed to perform on last Sunday’s first show of the series, but when her partner Dan Whiston injured his hamstring, she was given an extra week to rehearse and Jorgie Porter was asked to step into her spot with only 48 hours notice. The decision made by ITV bosses was said to have upset Heidi Range, whose partner Sylvain Longchambon injured his arm last month, leaving her with a new pro, Andrei Lipanov. It has been claimed that the Sugababes star asked for an extra week to prepare and was turned down, as a result she ended up in the bottom two on Sunday night and only narrowly avoided elimination. It has been reported that producers are desperate that Jennifer and Dan make a good impression and want to keep them on the series for as long as possible. One insider told The Mirror: “Jennifer has a big following. Bosses believe she will be a major draw and seem determined to do all they can to keep her in.” “Jennifer is very much ITV’s golden girl and it’s not sitting well with everyone else.” Ellison admitted that she would not be taking to the ice with any professional but Dan and revealed that she considered quitting the show when he got hurt. She tweeted: “For all those asking, if Dan can’t skate on sun then I won’t be. So I’m afraid I may be hanging up my boots before its even begun x [sic]” However the pair are set to perform this Sunday, along with Corey Feldman and Eastenders star Laila Morse. |
