A "surprise" in Charlene's routine this weekend.

Elsewhere she is talking about her catalogue of injuries and wanting to quit every day.

"Surprise" may be skating to Lady Gaga and the outfit she will be wearing.

The show doesn't help itself anymore - nobody seems to be given a chance these days other than the best young male and the best young female at the outset.  Obviously they usually have a background that helps, but it also seems that they have masses of training to be starting off at a high standard that is hard for others to compete with.  And they are pushed forward and lauded as the best throughout.Very little room for journeys/growers any more. Not just boring for gamblers/traders, but surely also for viewers who have to sit through over two months of the same old, same old until we finally get to see the obvious two + one other in the final (which is also the same old thing every year).

Journey candidates like Johnson and Coleen are actively given the deramp treatment rather than helped. I hope this show dies a death.  How are the ratings. I bet they are soaring Cry

Ratings definitely down, and getting worse I think.

Reading around, a lot of people don't seem keen on Bleakley even though she's not really doing much.  People like the new judges, but I think they're a little safe and boring.  Jason just ended up too nasty (and serious with it) in the panto villain role which Craig Revel-Horwood plays to perfection on SCD.

The TV critic on The Wright Stuff yesterday said they are a particularly poor bunch of celebrities this season.

Kyran Bracken's blog on the Blue Room is quite a good read.  Also talks about skating position and how it affects the tour as well.  Laura Hamilton never got to skate Bolero on the tour!

Dancing On Ice 2012 contestant Rosemary Conley was left ill during rehearsals for tomorrow night’s show, it has been revealed.

The fitness guru had been left with motion sickness after practicing her latest routine on the ice with partner Mark Hanretty.

But all the spinning left Rosemary, who will be skating to Fairground Attraction’s Perfect, feeling ill – and puts her routine in jeopardy.

This weekend the remaining 11 skaters will be performing to pop songs, with Chemmy Alcott skating to Locomotion by Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Ellison performing to Vogue by Madonna.

Meanwhile, X Factor stars One Direction will be performing two songs on the night, including their number one hit What Makes You Beautiful.

Is it that bad oop North, GB?

Dancing On Ice stars Jorgie Porter, Jennifer Ellison and Andy Whyment have been forced to miss rehearsals due to bad weather leaving them stranded in the North.

The soap actors have been unable to travel back to London due to disruptions on the trains, leaving them unable take part in practise sessions of tomorrow night’s big opening performance number.

It’s the first group skate of the series, with One Direction appearing to provide music for the contestants.

A show insider told The Sun: “They will have to just wing it on the night.”

Spot on guys about the lack of any journey candidates.
It doesn't just make it dull for punters but for viewers too.

Way too much deadwood this year too that adds little in the way of personality or skating.

A special Dancing on Ice show will reportedly air in celebration of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Show mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will step into the rink with judge Robin Cousins for the extravaganza, while new panellist Katarina Witt is to skate for the first time since a farewell tour in 2008.

Sources report that ITV bosses ran into issues convincing the stars to skate together, given Witt's rivalry with Torvill and Dean at the 1984 Games in Sarajevo.

"It sounds like a no-brainer, getting all four to dance, but it wasn't easy," insiders told The Sun. "Jayne and Chris are billed as the show legends so asking their rival Olympic medallist to perform on the same bill was tricky.

"Luckily they have agreed, so we've got a belter of a show lined up. Jayne and Chris are spearheading the routine that is likely to see them all dance together.

"It will be great for Katarina to skate as she hasn't really been on the ice since 2008. Robin is also nervous as he hasn't been on the ice for years either."

The four professionals have a total of five Olympic medals between them, four of which are gold.

Jorgie Porter should win 'Dancing on Ice', say Digital Spy readers

Digital Spy readers are currently backing Jorgie Porter to triumph on Dancing on Ice.

Porter was the overwhelming victor in DS's 'Who Skated Best?' poll at the weekend, picking up over 50% of the popular vote following her Britney Spears-themed school girl outfit skate.

The Hollyoaks actress topped the judges' scoreboard with her latest performance, pulling in 24 points and high praise from the panel.

"You gave it speed and elegance but there was also finesse there," said judge Louie Spence.

Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden is her nearest rival and he collected 18.3% of Digital Spy's votes on Sunday night.

Sebastien Foucan picked up 9.9%, Chico took 6.3%, while Sugababe Heidi Range has 5.4%.

DS readers correctly predicted that Dallas actress Charlene Tilton would exit the show with only 30 people picking her as their favourite star of the night.

from tellymix (not the bloody headbanger - zzzzzzzzzz)

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter is determined to stay top of the judges’ leader board on Dancing On Ice this Sunday, and has been begging partner Matt Evers for more daring moves.

The confident actress previously said she was hoping to be the first of this year’s stars to take on the head banger, but Matt has revealed plans to even further.

Talking to STV, the hunky professional skater said the pair were hoping to pull off some “secret moves” never done before on the show.

He explained: “She says ‘I want to do this lift and I want to do this’ and she’s doing things now we’ve never seen female celebs do before, which we’re saving for the longevity of the programme, but it’s amazing.”

Sunday night will see the remaining celebs skate a romantic Valentines themed performance together with their professional partners, but Matt refused to give anything away about his and Jorgie’s routine!

Rosemary has obviously had her support, but may lose out tonight through being so obviously overmarked last week.

They don't seem to be doing much to give B2ers a bounce this year either.
