Interesting idea about publicity but it was half hearted and I don’t think there’s big money behind him like there was behind Jedward last year wanting to promote their Europe tour. Time will tell anyway.
And his price on the hs is a fair bit above what was backed here so it may have been just a good ole punter or two. As you say, good whoever it was. |

i'm still in love with France

YOu and me both, Milan
My 'realistic' dream though is France are top 4 or so after 10 rounds of voting - odds down to 20 - and I can lay some of my giant bank of green and make a decent wedge either way |

All this talk of Norwegians and Brighton, takes me back to 1996 - happy times. Although my own personal Norwegian experience occurred on a pub crawl in London (anyone else tried the Circle Line Tour??) when pulling really wasn't assumed to be on the cards.
You know the girl's into you when you offer to take her to see Kent v Pakistan the next day and she says yes even though she doesn't know what cricket is. Funnily enough I never did make it to Kent v Pakistan - a better option came up! ![]() ![]() |

Ukraine price edged down a little over the last 24 hours - others obvioulsy know they're staging is epic as was the case last year.
I'm primed up with some green - just need that late draw and the price will halve I'm sure. ![]() |

RP have tipped B&H to win SF2, and Slovakia to qualify.
Tipped Russia to win and Hungary to qualify on Tuesday, which I have only just noticed. |
|

Hungary to qualify was a decent tip at around EVS. Credit where due I guess - was certainly no gimme.
|

If most people's interpretation of the EBU release yesterday is correct and Russia needed televote to qualify it most certainly didn't win the semi.
These 2 selections today are for me, horrendous. They are far more in keeping with what I seem to remember as the RP's utter cluelessness in specials. Hungary was a best priced evens typically about 1.8 on here the day of the final. Yes well done RP ![]() |

But thanks Squares honestly I'd rather know than not know and not having a go at you at all just in case it seems that way. The way this is going so far I'm a grumpy bear atm, has anyone noticed?

If they get B&H the win I'll chnge my mind forever ...

squares...the blog i was on last night 'escXtra' had both Bosnia and Slovakia as non-qualifiers...and for your information Russia have won zilch to date and I even tipped up Hungary.
![]() honestcl...i'm gunna see how France do in the final rehearsal and back her top 10 if they go well...France still the best 'song' for me but they have to get it together on stage...Anggun was rather perplexed when she found them filming the the rehearsals, she's obviously not used to that happening 'on tour' etc and i believe there is much more to come from France. |

"The way this is going so far I'm a grumpy bear atm, has anyone noticed?"...i certainly have "Yogi"...perhaps you should get Bo-Bo to give you a hand-job
![]() i have a feeling his forum will be full of "grumpy bears" come sunday, myself included... after all this is "eurovision" and that's basically a chance for some to enjoy music from around europe and others the chance to get phucked up the @rse ![]() |

I loathe the RP these days, and think they are woeful regards Specials (altho iirc they did tip last year's winner in that day's paper). I just noticed their little column this morning, then checked back to see what they had to say on Tuesday and posted out of interest (for forumites who don't get to see it).

Dunno why - profit from semi 1, happy with my 'buying money' selection for tonight which has almost halved in price and still have the draw to come tonight for a few I have fancy prices for. Backed the grannies big time back to lay so can green up considerably based on that trade and have plenty funds to back Sweden on the night if push comes to shove. Might just have to settle for break even on Sweden
Actually just typing that has made me feel much better ![]() |

What they tip is of no consequence to me whatsoever, and oc i bloody well know that Russia have won zilch to date.

I noticed she was dismayed that they had filmed her. I put it down to a difficult song and a nonsence routine they hadn't practised with someone flying over her head ![]() |

Apologies if everyone has seen it,but on the Sofabet site, comments section there is a link to the Swedish judges dress rehearsal performance. To these untrained eyes, the staging looked by far the best I've seen so far.

Not as good as MF though is it?
|
|
By:
Possibly not H,but IMO better than the other country's efforts.
|
|

I've just seen MF again, 1000 times better than that jury effort.
|
|
By:
Well I have to say Hemsby it's better than most.

it needs to be amazing given its astonishing price imo. Not just the best so far compared to performances, Dan, to put into perspective, hadn't seen as that of a prospective Eurovision winner

Swedish entry good - watched that rehearsal video and no doubt it's very polished... But don't understand why it's so short in the betting, particularly with draw an unknown. Can anyone enlighten me?!

being somewhat of a natural pessimist I have pretty much already assigned Sweden a slot in the 20's

Any thoughts on the camera work? I thought the lack of long shots made the performance come across as very intimate. The high up shot towards the end which emphasises the snow seemed pretty good to me as well.I'm not a backer, just giving my honest assessment.

None until I see it tonight. My opinion on many songs changed quite drastically after Tuesdays semi. Who knows I might think Sweden is nailed on after tonight

and thats after having seen every rehearsal and the dress feed...

I know plenty of people make bucketloads on Eurovision by playing early - and there's no doubt I probably miss the boat on the big prices every year, but I tend to only play the draw. Obviously with six 17+ spots still up for grabs Sweden have a decent chance of a late berth - but if it's drawn in the first half that's got to be a big leveller...

MF had a great long shot at the beginning from the back of the hall with all the lights. (And I remember some other performance she did of it with green lazer lights). Then it gets intimate, but just so much better. Still, people watching it won't know about MF, they'll just be comparing it to the other countries. |

i just hope re Sweden some of us are not wasting our time and the result is pre-ordained as with 'Lena'

I think it will either be evens or less tonight or 3/1 + I dont see a 'middle ground' for it ie the current price
