![]() Eric was 8's Norway is 34. He will appeal to the young female multivoters and women in general. Again as I said there's nothing really comparable - last year Eric had the Russian chap as an alternate iirc |

the juries might punish it as an Eric clone - that would be my greatest fear

otherwise I'd be steaming in witha good draw

Yes, lots of possible plusses for Norway and many minuses.

ok. today here in greece is a national elections day. anyway. Now about tonight's post i have to say that in 2012 to win the esc and then refuse to organize it next year especially for a "fake" country like italy it would be a very non prestigeous reaction if they win. Especially italy who counts the fashion the luxury bla bla and Not the substance in any sector. Swedbank will have 65.000 seats a really huge amount. Think that Globen has only 16.000. Also im not sure if italy sends delegation in baku somebody please inform me about it. Another observation is that any gambler punter trader etc usually has a fetish to doubt a huge favorite,in football bball vball esc any topic sport or not its a matter of human nature not to be with the strongest one and have hopes for the underdogs-outsiders. Same post i ve read 3 years ago about Rybak and his fairytale. And from the 10th country and yet the show was already done. Russia i guess is the circus entry in this years contest. Like dustin the turkey was for ireland once. Iceland has two 2nd places behind scandinavians both times. who knows? maybe this year it ll be 3rd time of this coincidence.

Please let me know who you fancy to win it outright.

The Camel Man has one minus - he is first on - but that is not a problem since the last UK song to be first on the blocks - The Brotherhood Of Man in 1976 won.

France top 10 @6-1 for me, this bird apparently isnt bad live either and has been around

Just took as much as I could on that as it happens zil
totally agree, insane price |

I'd be surprised if France ends up in the top 10. Personally I see them in 15-20th spot. I like the song but I think it will be too complex for Eurovision. At the end of the day, it won't stand out.
I also think Romania is being overrated on this forum. The song reminds me a bit of the Spanish entry in 2011. There is no way whatsoever that Romania will win. Top 10 won't be easy either... I tend to agree with your observations, Henry. However, I think that that only are a handful of entries that could possibly win... Romania, France, and Russia are not among them. |

Spanky gives good reasons why Italy will be ignored by the juries.
1. They're not sending a commentator or much of a press delegation to Baku. 2. No one in Italy watches 3. They might even refuse to host it. 4. Would they be able to fill an arena of any size if they did? I also remember when doing my stats last year that there is very often a significant boost to a countries average finishing position, the 1st year they return. Interestingly with the public as well as the juries. It doesn't last more than 1 year |
|
By:
Well those reasons probably don't make much difference either way but 1 and 2 would be a jury incentive an Italian win - to make sure Italians certainly did want to watch it and send a commentator in future. And I'm sure Italy would be able to host it without problem.

yeah there was some bad judges on here all right. I of course posted ad nauseum he had NO chance...100% red
..just saying I wouldn't want to be same Sweden. Yes viewers may not buy into it but there was NO way they were going to buy into mockpra as they had demonstrated with (ironically) Sweden the year before iirc (and I might not be). |

Just for clarity George , bex
The following poll was taken from esc on the final day afternoon ( a poll of polls),and was nothing to do with the forum prediction- 43 Participants poll The 43 Participants poll predicts that the United Kingdom will win the grand prize tonight. While second is Estonia. Grand Final poll The Grand Final poll results are the following: 1. United Kingdom 2. France 3. Azerbaijan 4. Estonia 5. Hungary 6. Sweden 7. Germany 8. Ireland 9. Denmark 10. Bosnia & Herzegovina The forum poll had the following 1st azer 41 pts. ![]() 2nd bosnia 31 pts 3hrd hungary 22 pts 3hrd uk 22 pts 5th estonia 15 pts 5th sweeden 15 pts |

well...maybe matched at 2.98 due to the ogae huge winning uncountable 12's. now it is 3.1. I hope you didnt lay it george....spanky's reasons for ignoring by the juries are more than enough. i totally agree with him. (The elections result here is a thriller). Sweden already has the televoting even if it ll draw 2nd for the final. Eric appeared 8th in the final and voted 2nd in televoting. So no prob about it. the only that should worry swedes and their backers is the 2-5 place in the jury vote. if not 1st of course. But i personally believe that it ll be a double win. Remember that juries voted for Lena so why not for Loreen? A clearly better song with better lyrics.

Thanks Mug was doubting myy own memory there plus i didn't think the forum was as stupid as that. We got it right last year and so why not this year as well? It is Sweden first isn't it?
teodor I agree with what you say (but I AM biased re sweden so happy to hear it). No not traded since I stupidly laid some of my 7s off at 5.3s. Still a huge (for me) green. |

Good news about your huge green George. I just have the impression that in the rising of 27th of may you will be planning your summer vacations with sweden's 5th victory. im not a trader in general cause i dont have the amount of money to do it. Swedes love like no any other country the contest. The best proof about it is the MF. A swedish eurovision. Sometimes even better than the esc. Italy is only for San Remo Festival not many more....really, no offense to them. if juries were active in 2006 maybe carola would have won. Now i have no doubt for it. Goodnight to all and have also a great week.

"France top 10 @6-1 for me, this bird apparently isnt bad live either"
Anggun is Indonesian but has French citizenship...she has a massive fanbase around the world and has performed with many big names live on stage. my own personal opinion of her song is that it may just be missing the x-factor for a winning entry, however i see it as better than Italy which as you know is 2nd fav. it seems she is being under-estimated in betting markets or maybe i am over-estimating her...in her favor, she has real class and a great singing voice...a big negative is...she has my money ! "vive le france, as they say in rome" ![]() |

The hot favourite contestant to win this year’s Eurovision Loreen, who’s representing Sweden is currently charting in 14 European countries on iTunes. Euphoria, a song written by Thomas G:Son and Peter Boström is number one in four countries right now, Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland. Besides these countries, the song is also a big hit in Norway and Greece, charting Top 10.
Sweden: 1 Finland: 1 Estonia: 1 Lithuania: 1 Norway: 3 Greece: 9 Spain: 22 Cyprus: 33 Denmark: 39 Bulgaria: 45 Malta: 73 Luxembourg: 85 Netherlands: 88 Latvia: 94 Slovenia: 99 Belgium: 157 France: 173 Austria: 178 Ireland: 182 Switzerland: 243 Slovakia: 281 United Kingdom: 371 Germany: 420 Romania: 669 Besides the charts, Loreen is a hot favourite in OGAE, Eurovision fan clubs, and every Betting-Odds websites. Loreen herself, challenged herself not to listen to any songs this year, participating in Eurovision so she can concentrate on her performance only. To an interview for SVT, Loreen stated that Zeljko Joksimovic and the Russian Grannies are her biggest challengers. Frome ESC daily. How can it possibly lose? 6/4 soon anyone? |

Thanks mug. And to bex for that post. Is there a link? Been looking for ages for that depth of information. probably under my itunes nose. If it is bang up to date then it is still at number 1 in sweden and probably finland after 5 weeks.
Even where it is lower in other countries it could well have been much higher at some point. Maybe self delusion but it is starting to have a Fairytale (sort of) feel about it. 6/4 soon bex I think as I just don't see which song the PV coalesces around to beat it. |

link wont help much as i just cut and pasted but fwiw
http://www.escdaily.com/sweden-loreen-charts-in-14-european-countries/ Lack of clear opposition I think does have the possibility of its odds getting shorter, it wouldn't surprise me. People may also feel happier backing it now as they may see it as less dependant on the draw to win. I anticipate the Grannies price shortening and Jedward also as coverage intensifies nearer showtime but have said for a while I don't expect a Sweden drift. Nothing is going to change my gut reaction that this isn't a Eurovision winning song before the final. I still entertain hopes its outside top 10 |
