Ali is going against doctor's advice to rest her injury and wants to dance on Saturday. Doomed I say, Doomed.

BBC saying Whittle will dance tomorrow, according to a post on DS.

See my thread jr.
Aye, heard it on 5live a few mins ago. |
By:
we have seen judges talk up/down routines before on ITT and it doesn't come to fruition on the show. Think it will be a crowd-pleaser from Chris but not sure technically whether it'll be that good. The most natural in training, at least to my eyes, has been Laila's Charleston. Definite potential for huge shake up on judges' leaderboard. Can't see Ali doing anything remotely decent.
Whittle now 10s for elimination with b365 - I got a bit of the 33s available earlier today, though I still think his exit is unlikely (just not a 33-1 shot). |

Ladcrookes prices back up on all Strictly markets - good bit of value there, I reckon

I'm covering the other Ricky b2 combos. Already have decent bet on him top score and if he isn't surely in trouble of being b2 if this sympathy vote materializes for Ali.
By:
Value on Ricky surely? Unless judges are marking down for bad behaviour

Just switch off and hope DS get this appalling pair over the line. Please tell me they've not backed Chris? |
By:
I didn't like the feel of it on ITT GB, possibly they were gearing up for Mince to top the board. Then there's this group dance that the scores could be well dodgy. As I already have Ricky 5-4 for highest judges score, it only costs me a few quid as a type of hedge.
By:
I think like you say fig's 9 on b2 was a great hedge. I got 200 on 2.25 on HS, so if that don't come in, b2 must surely be odds on
By:
I have a bit of 12-1 Ricky b2, and 66-1 R/A combo, 25-1 R/L combo. So put a few quid on the other two possibles if Ricky b2. A sympathy vote can mess up the usual voting patterns.

His form line on one of their weekly vote threads is 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-1

Mince, Nat and Ali doing the tour. No Ricky or Laila |
By:
Although Alesha didn't sign up for the 2008 tour I think things are starting to look grim for RW. His saving grace is that with Ali crocked there's only a slim chnace he'll lose a fair dance off. I'm less and less convinced they'll want him as the ideal winner though.
By:
Ali 12's for next elimination. all things considered not a bad price. Considering the faux injury :^0
By:
So, last week Whittle got the major ramp from the judges. Tonight it was Ali's turn. Next week it will be back to Whittle. Cleary these judges only care for themselves and trying to protect their gig. If who they say are good are not in the final show then it makes them redundant, which is what they fear.
By:
must admit, pre-show I thought the Whittle/Laila bottom 2 was more likely tonight, and had a bit more on that than the Whittle/Nat - cos I figured it was pretty much a given that Nat would outpoll Laila. But Laila must have beaten Nat on pv.
Surprised Nat's vote fell off as much as it did. Laila must have finished at least 3rd top in pv. And Whittle last or 2nd last... I think. |
By:
I think the charleston dances were cleary more visually entertaining than rock and roll. Tom Chamber's show dance last year had that charleston style to it now.
If Hollins gets to the final and does a similar charleston then he might win it. |
By:
Chris actually has momentum on top of public vote. Only the semi stitchup stops him winning now!
By:
The final 'dynamic' will be different. As Ricky blows Mince out of the water for ability.
By:
I'm not sure Ali would have got much of a vote tonight, and would Nat have only got 1 or 2 - a case of her fans abandoning her cos she was shown up...? Cannot imagine Ali got 4 or more but
if Laila only got 3, Ali would have had to get at least 4, So I think the first of these looks more realistic: Ali - 5 + 2 = 7 Chris - 4 + 5 = 9 Ricky W - 3 + 1 = 4 Laila - 2 + 4 = 6 Nat - 1 + 3 = 4 or: Ali - 5 + 4 = 9 Chris - 4 + 5 = 9 Ricky W - 3 + 1 = 4 Laila - 2 + 3 = 5 Nat - 1 + 2 = 3 |

The final 'dynamic' will be different. As Ricky blows Mince out of the water for ability. i dont think it matters that much. as long as chris is competent and entertaining he can win |
By:
Ali could have had 1pts and Ricky W 2pts in your 1st example, jr.
If Chris makes the final he wins, but the semi final is the biggest obstacle. |
By:
I agree Denis,
He was the most entertaining tonight and I can't stand him. |
By:
just watched laila's char;eston again. how the hell craig scored that a 6 is beyond me
By:
Mince is my best winner but I actually backed him @ top man as it was the same price.
Laila is a genuine fav for next elim. So effectively we'll have the two guys fighting it out for the final spot. All stops will be pulled for Ali in that scenario imo. |
By:
agree fll - be delighted if Chris wins for my book but that last 3 is a major concern.
off thread, but did you see much 'Oh wow, Danyl is great' on Twitter tonight fll? |
By:
Not much jr.
50/50 for Danyl, but i reckon he's just safe. Hardly very original but i think Lloyd is gone this week. |
By:
so, 2 dances each next week & if my calculations correct:
Laila - AS & salsa Ali - tango & samba Chris - waltz & samba Ricky - foxtrot & cha cha cha potentially translates to: Ricky - 4 + ? Ali - 3 + ? Laila - 2 + ? Chris - 1 + 4 = 5 If Chris is last on leaderboard v difficult for him unless an exact reverse in pv cos any of other 3 would put him away in dance off, no? |
By:
If Chris is bottom and assuming he gets the 4 from the public, then we really need Laila to get the 3 points from the public and on past evidence that looks quite likely.
Ricky 4 + ? Ali 3+ ? Laila 2+3 Chris 1+4 If that happens then 50% of the time it will be a Ricky/Ali dance off, and 50% of the time an Ali vs Laila dance off. Even if we have Ricky 4+? Ali 3+? Laila 2+2 Chris 1+4 Chris being in the dance off is impossible even if laila gets 2 from the public. One of Ricky or Ali would have to get 5 or below when they are added. |
By:
then we really need Laila to get the 3 points from the public
So actually scrap that. As long as Laila isnt last with the public and then Chris cant be in a dance off. (All assuming he is top with public) |
By:
very easy for him to escape next week. Only 1 of the 4 combos would see him B2
50/50 in the semi. It's good that he has his waltz in the semi. |
By:
thanks for that fll
good work sean I'm almost 100 per cent certain Chris tops the poll and will again next week |
By:
Do we know the dances next week?
One on the rota and a new dance? Chris samba |
By:
I am starting to worry that he'll get Gethined in the semi final.
The 3 person semi final with a dance -off is just ridiculous. |
By:
it's a real sickener when we were all banking on a 3-couple final - and hence the Tuffers/Hollins angle, as the public fav wins in 3-couple final.
I fear he will be Gethin-ed too. Strictly makers have shown they couldn't care less what the public wants. |
