Good break, that. Highfield brings the W, 3-3.

Well done, John!
Excellent stuff from Highfield in these final 2 frames, beats Selby 4-3 from 2-3 down. |

Good on him lats. Wasn't able to watch today which was good as I'd probably have chickened out and taken small green! Nothing major but puts wheels back on bike anyway!
Don't feel like doing much tonight. Wouldn't surprise me to see dottie make a match of it against robbo. But just gonna give Kurt one more go in a treble with Sijun, the better of the two i think if he continues back on the upgrade, and michelin man with a frame start. Mugthew near 1/2, erm, nein danke! |

Selby was pretty moderate to begin with, mate, then Highfield retreated a bit into his shell and Selby grew into the match. He was really positive, while being methodical and deliberate (if that makes sense - right shots, just not in a rush to play them) in the final two frames, though. The market was full loved-up with Selby throughout, so I imagine you would have probably sat on your bet, actually!
![]() Mann's numbers are actually OK this season - not far off Mugthew's. They've only met once and snooker.org has no record of where or when that actually was. He's not really someone I like to bet, though! Be lucky with your treble! |

Yeah that makes sense mate, will have a look at those final 2 frames later. Actually when i checked the odds a few times and Selby was fluctuating between 1.2 and 1.3 i did get feeling it was close enough. Just Highfield holding his nerve was the question, thankfully he did!
Gl with yours tonight ![]() |

And mugthew and scottie both off to tons already, not the start to fill me with hope for the evening

Pure muck from me tonight anyway. Down in flames, best way to go i reckon.
Watching rob and fergal, a real good scrap. Thought fergal was gonna make a ronnie like clearance there but just came up short. Jimmy has the edge but wouldn't call him home just yet! |

Fergal misses a difficult black that would have set him away with a great chance to steal. Leaves him needing snookers, 4-2 Jimmy.

Couple of really strange shots from jimmy there, gave Fergal a lifeline he should never have had. But solid enough overall, fair call on that lats.

3 absolute terrible shots jimmy played at the end mate, just careless stuff and if fergal had potted the black, the whole frame was there for him. Should never have had the chance! Jimmy is a decent player but it's those lapses are what hold these guys back, remember we touched on it t'other day!
Anyway, tomorrow another day mate. Will catch you then ![]() |
