Summer, The First Time - Bobby Goldsboro

mainly for the memories it evokes. You'll appreciate this pumphol.

Reminds me of the school summer holidays, a scorching hot morning (it never rained during my school summer holidays) I'd watch Robinson Crusoe (or Belle & Sebastian, White Horses, Champion the Wonder Horse or whatever it happened to be) then go into the kitchen where my Mum was cooking 'skinless' sausages for my breakfast with Tony Blackburn (aided by Arnold the dog) blasting out of the radio and frequently playing the above.

:D

can i just add 'seasons in the sun ' reminds me of my young days. now performed on karaoke in pubs in halifax after a sunderland away match on a regular basis . didnt have it last time i was in after everton cup game so i performed 'love will tear us apart 'which cheered up the locals up . ( all looked like extras off deliverance) .

That's amazing - someone else likes 'Afternoon Delight' by the Starland Vocal Band!! (or at least I did when Pan's People were dancing to it on Top of the Pops when I was 13....... :-) )

Korgis, Nick Kershaw, Grocer Jack...... there'a few mentioned here that I like, too.

"I know him so well" by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson is my choice.
